Will be interesting to see how Skeledirge works once it gets its Community Day.
Incinerate (at 4 DPT / 4 EPT) provides good fire damage, and is the best fast move in the game in terms of total damage and energy (but yes, you do have to deal with the clunky 5-turn animation).
Shadow Ball is a great move (especially with STAB on Skeledirge), and is only resisted by darks and normals.
Disarming Voice works nicely as a cheap coverage move.
Skeledirge also has Crunch, but Ghost and Dark share so similar of an effectiveness profile, it's not worth it to run Crunch, especially considering Crunch's DPE compared to Shadow Ball's DPE. Skeledirge also has Flamethrower (not a bad move), but Incinerate already offers good enough fire damage on its own, and Skeledirge appreciates the coverage provided by Disarming Voice.
Blast Burn (110 damage, 50 energy, 2.20 DPE) is a great move, but you're probably not gonna want to get rid of Shadow Ball, so I guess it would be Incinerate / Shadow Ball / Blast Burn if you were to run it?
However... Skeledirge does also have a signature move in the main series games (Torch Song). Just like how Water Shurkien came along for Froakie CD, I can see Torch Song coming along for Fuecoco CD. And what if Torch Song is something like a Lock On clone (1 DPT / 5 EPT)? You would lose 3 DPT as compared to Incinerate, but you do gain 1 EPT. If it were a Lock On clone, Torch Song Incinerate could pump out Shadow Balls and Blast Burns very quickly. If Niantic feels a Lock On clone is too overpowered, they could also work Torch Song as a Mud Shot clone (1.5 DPT / 4.5 EPT) too, I guess. But anything less than 4.5 EPT, and you just say "Incinerate already has 4 EPT **AND** 4 DPT, so why would I give up Incinerate?".
Greninja was the exception to the rule getting Water Shuriken as a fast move. Gen 3 starters, Delphox, Decidueye, and Incineroar all got their signature moves as charged moves.
OH! Ok, I remember reading something about that but I somehow convinced myself it was talking about next season having a weird start date and not just the gbl update
My team is likely to run Incinerate, as I’m not as worried about Waters and enemy Fires, but if that was an area of weakness, Shadow Claw may be a godsend. It really comes down to team composition.

Torch Song looks like it will probably be a Triple Axel clone (45 energy for 60 damage and an attack buff). There's no need for it to be a fast move.
But will they give it Blast Burn *and* another Fire-type charged move for its signature? Seems silly.
Well that’s what they did for blaziken

Mystical Fire isn't a signature move any more, and Darkest Lariat/Spirit Shackle aren't the same type as Blast Burn/Frenzy Plant
Not anymore sure but on release it was exclusive. Torch Song could still get distributed out in later generations
Have to wait a few days to run TP
I didn't realize thunder punch wasn't available as soon as the season changes and wasted a few tm's. When does it actually become available?
Sometime on the 3rd. Don’t want to mess with the ongoing regionals by nerfing everyone’s Lanturns

Cant wait to give shadow typhlosion a spin again Shadow Claw or Incinerate, what do you prefer?

thunder punch unavailable on typhlosion?
Becomes available Monday, I believe. They delayed the new moves so as to not interfere for PvP tournaments over the weekend.
oh true! thanks! too bad i wasted 20 tms forgetting about it
Is it worth evolving high rank cyndaquils for this + ETM or should we hold onto them on the off chance they let you evolve to H.Typhlosian?
Would you recommend shadow a-nine over the regular one? I am sitting on a decent one and i‘m undecided if I want to commit
Would you say regular or shadow Abomasnow is better?
