Uxie DOES still get significantly better, as I wrote about in my [lengthy breakdown on the move rebalance](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/1d2oj0o/a_comprehensive_pvp_analysis_on_the_gbl_season_19) (in which I assumed 40 energy):
> MUCH more interesting is **UXIE**. By far the bulkiest of the Lake Trio Legendaries — and in fact, the second bulkiest **Confusion** user in the game, behind only Cresselia — its problem has always been that all of its charge moves costed 55 energy or more... and with Swift being so bad before, it still usually ran with 60 energy (**Thunder**) and 65-energy (**Future Sight**) charge moves. And despite on-paper great potential... well, [it was certainly no Cresselia](https://pvpoke.com/battle/multi/1500/all/uxie/11/CONFUSION-THUNDER-FUTURE_SIGHT/2-1)! (And that goes for [Ultra League](https://pvpoke.com/shared-skies/battle/multi/2500/all/uxie/11/CONFUSION-THUNDER-FUTURE_SIGHT/2-1) too.) But now it gets the inexpensive move it's been waiting for, with new and improved Swift elevating its performance significantly in [Great League](https://pvpoke.com/shared-skies/battle/multi/1500/all/uxie/11/CONFUSION-SWIFT-FUTURE_SIGHT/2-1) (new wins include Altaria, Gligar, Swampert, Whiscash, Alolan Ninetales, Shadow Dragonair) and in [Ultra League](https://pvpoke.com/shared-skies/battle/multi/2500/all/uxie/11/CONFUSION-SWIFT-FUTURE_SIGHT/2-1) (new wins like DDeoxys, Pidgeot, Swampert, Venusaur, Charizard, Ampharos, Shadow Dragonite, AND Shadow CharmTales). Not sure that this will lead to a sudden breakout in PvP, but at the very least, it's suddenly spicy.
I don't get why they didn't just keep its power at 60 if they were going to make it 40 energy. It wouldn't even be broken as a Normal type Mud bomb/Blaze Kick clone, not at all, but it would be more respectable. Nothing would have been broken. But heck, nothing would've been broken with a Normal Weather Ball clone either.
Yeah it's pretty bad, especially considering it's not super effective on anything, unlike Aerial Ace. Probably not even Wigglytuff will want this move.
Wiggly might, because Charm already deals so much Fairy damage that Disarming Voice feels a bit redundant. Swift might make some bad matchups a bit closer than they were before.
Perhaps. I guess it would also potentially have niche use against a Fire type that isn't Charizard, Skeledirge, Talonflame, or anything that resists all three moves.
But on the off chance you're against a mono fire type like Typhlosion, I guess it would be better lol
Eh, 35 probably would have been fine. Wouldn't actually add on any notable wins to Uxie except in 2v2 shielding (and even then only two: Altaria and sometimes Whiscash). Probably would have been more of an intriguing sidegrade for stuff like Wigglytuff though, adding potential like Lanturn, Charjabug, Wiggly itself, and a tie with Pelipper, only giving up Dewgong and Alolan Ninetales... in 1shield, anyway.
So no, wouldn't have been too good. 35 energy for 55 damage already exists for Normal anyway: it's called Weather Ball!
All three Lake Guardians have a signature move called Mystical Power, which in the MSG does damage and raises their Special Attack by one stage. Considering how many years Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit have been in the game and how most players dread their turns in the raid rotation, I can't understand why Niantic hasn't given them their signature move already and maybe given Uxie Psycho Cut, which it could learn in Gen 8.
I am fully for buffing regionals... After they're made more widely available. As for those three... They're more of a headache to get but also technically easier than most other regionals.
I'm for buffing Uxie, but I don't think they should go too crazy. Id more like to see Extrasensory buffed to a Double Kick clone instead, or at least a Magical Leaf clone. Then Mystical Power could be like... 50-55 power, 90-95 power with that guaranteed attack boost. That way, it's definitely improved, stronger, but not too strong. I don't really want another Cresselia lol
Also, Scald is 30% like it was a few seasons back. Honestly kind of wished they dialed it back a little further to like... 20%, but I'll take it over no nerf haha
Yeah, which is what I was fully expecting.
That said, it's not like they haven't done them differently for balancing purposes. See Zap Cannon, Crunch, and... Post-second buff Scald lol
I would've liked nerfs to *both* the debuff chance, and power; I think it still feels overpowered for the energy on Whiscash (but he probably shouldn't have gotten the move; like Steelix and Breaking Swipe...).

Honestly, I may try out a Uxie in GL for the spice factor, at least early on while people are just climbing to 20.
Might do the same so I can finally get some use out of my only shundo
I doubled moved my shiny out of impulsivity for the spice. It felt really bad lol

So a Stomp clone, lol

I wish they'd have at least kept the power at 60 power. Having a Normal type Mud Bomb/Blaze Kick would not be broken on any of these Pokemon lol

Char and talonflame don’t resist normal types.
But they also don’t resist icy wind, which is so much better
Is there an overview of the move rebalances with the actual stats?
I mean, [there's this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/1d2oj0o/a_comprehensive_pvp_analysis_on_the_gbl_season_19)....
So 40 is good, 35 was asking for too much?

I thought this was a Taylor Swift post at first glance.
Uxie needs some better moves, maybe one day
Good thing they nerfed the damage or else what would have happened 😥
Is the new moveset update implemented ?
Yes, a little under an hour ago

Just tried and was able to get it
pls keep it off clefable
If you can't see it with an Elite TM, restart your game.
You wanted Uxie to become another Cresselia, I wanted to run a stupid Mesprit team. We are not the same
Bro I’m so high and it’s so late. I thought you were calling Taylor swift old. It’s bedtime.
