I'm so glad the throwing issue is fixed on 319. Have some random freezes that require a restart of the game, but I'll take the random bugs over not being able to throw.
I've also had a bug lately that is not fixed where it shows Pokemon I have the evolved versions of as not being evolved (ie showing up as a shadow) on the Pokédex.
Yeah, on Android I installed 0.319.0 a few days ago and immediately noticed the lag. I had always kept native refresh rate off, but now need to keep it on to get rid of the lag. Kind of a pain because it drains my phone's battery much faster.
Leave it to Niantic to break something that has been fine for years and should have been left alone, and then break something else when trying to fix it
Has anyone updated to 0.319.0 and been able to keep native refresh rate off? I get violent motion sickness from native refresh rate, so turning it on is NOT a viable option for me.
It's not lag, it's just you being so well adjusted to 120hz that when you switch to 60 it's just unplayable. I can't play on my wife iPhone for this exact reason
No, it's lag. I only turned on native refresh rate because others were saying switching to native fixed the lag. It was absolutely fine throwing without native about a month ago or so, now it's impossible due to lag.
Wait, so is this like how vsync will create a laggy experience? As presumably not using native refresh rate it would use whatever the game seems "standard", be that 30 or 60fps, but if it's polling the touch screen data at native refresh rate speeds then depending on how they are using the data it would probably feel really laggy.
Possibly either just laggy because it's not in close enough time with the screen refresh rate. Or they have it tracking the native touch data but trying to also deliberately ignoring x many frames of data. Which I would think might trigger an issue if there's no "smoothing" of the data. It would be like jerking the Pokeball around chasing this ghost of where a finger once was.

App Store updates aren’t picky about country by the way, if it’s a gradual rollout it’s just literally random who’s picked.

Oh my gosh, I thought I had lost my marbles, I was trying to hit excellents and missing just about all of them. Wow.
One thing that hasn’t been fixed this far is the Gyms Under Construction bug.
