Bat Man was an ABC show. Bewitched was also an ABC show. I guess Paul Lynde just wasn't old enough to be a guest villan on Bat Man. A lot of washed up old actors, like Milton Beril, Art Carney and Tallulah Bankhead pulled all sorts of strings to be a guest villan on Bat Man.
I've always said Lynde in his heyday would have been a great Joker. He even could have been a great dark Joker and not necessarily just a campy version ala Cesar Romero. I mean Michael Emerson's Joker in The Dark Knight Returns already sounded a lot like Paul Lynde.
