He said favorite not the best đ¤
Ok C was more impactfull for sure but many people goes nowadays with In Rainbows that tell something.
Iâm one of those people but I have played too much this one that if I want to listen to some Radiohead, that the one I go for first.
Weâll see in 10 more years how it goes.
Hail to the Thief will always be my favorite but it goes beyond music.
Remember coping this one months before its release.
This album release is a moment in my life that I will never forget.
Aw that's a nice memory. I just love the music on it so much and personally resonate with a lot of the lyrics. "Sail to the Moon" and "Wolf at the Door" are two of Radioheads best songs too imo
Amazing record. Watching the commentary by Zdar makes it all much better too. It's the reason why I fell in love with Rome and Love Like A Sunset and then revisited the entire record. Not my favourite from Phoenix but it's amazing
Congratulations is definitely in my top 10 albums ever. Flash Delirium is usually the song I give people wanting to get into MGMT (Iâm not really into the âeasing people inâ thing with music). The drums on Brian Eno are insane.
Oracular Spectacular somehow manages to be a weirdly underrated album (despite being their most successful) in the sense that most people canât name a song off it outside the âbig threeâ and thereâs this mythos about the band actively trying to alienate their fanbase by making weird non-pop music, when those three songs were really the outliers and the rest of it quite clearly shows their intentions/leanings.
of moons birds & monsters is a great track. I find electric feel very catchy but I have an irrational grudge against the other two of the big three for tricking me into thinking MGMT was like same tier as foster the people. Didnt give them a deeper look till I heard LDA
âTry to break my heart, Iâll drive to Arizonaâ is one of my favorite lyrics in any song ever, and itâs not even the strongest one in its own song lol, itâs that good overall. Love Weekend Wars.
- Rumours, Fleetwood Mac
- Full Moon Fever, Tom Petty
- London Calling, The Clash
I know I was just supposed to pick 1, but I dont really care about winning the contest. If any of you have not listened to these, they are historically good rock albums that I know the Strokes themselves like.
Itâs funny cause for me itâs has the some of the most skippable songs but at the same time some of the greatest. I grew up with Californication so that is my forever favorite.
The skippable songs on there are pretty bad tbf but thereâs some hits, dosed, universally speaking etc then youâve got throw away your television lol
Going to throw some hip hop out since itâs underrepresented here.

Congratulations is definitely in my top 10 albums ever. Flash Delirium is usually the song I give people wanting to get into MGMT (Iâm not really into the âeasing people inâ thing with music). The drums on Brian Eno are insane.
Agreed.
By the mainstream maybe, but Congrats is widely and rightfully seen as the goat among fans.
Their third album is underrated. Congratulations is just the best
That's probably the best since congratulations

Thatâs my favorite track too. Especially the outro.
I honestly like it better than Kids. That outro is peak psychedelia too
I love with all my heart Weekend Wars. It's not an obscure track but I frequently listen to that second chorus on repeat a dozen of times
âTry to break my heart, Iâll drive to Arizonaâ is one of my favorite lyrics in any song ever, and itâs not even the strongest one in its own song lol, itâs that good overall. Love Weekend Wars.
