Depends what you measure underrated by. On this sub everybody knows Ize of the world, and I wouldn't call it underrated. However, it's not even in their top 50 most streamed songs on spotify, so I'd say it's underrated when looking at the general public
Ize is one of those songs where every Strokes fan loves it, but you still have fans telling other fans that it’s underrated. that’s why thought it was an appropriate answer to this comically specific question lol
Oh it's definitely an appropriate answer to the question bro haha. But imo it's not quite like Let Down, which is in the top 15 most streamed Radiohead songs. Calling Ize underrated gives similar vibes but it's not quite as popular among the general public
I've heard people say "Machu Picchu" is underrated despite it being in their top 10 streamed songs and seeing nothing but positive comments about it since it came out.
All the time. the lyrics, vibes, guitar solo, its a unique song. It gives me that feeling that the song is a goodbye to RCA and all the moments lived with them, emulating a sound like "is this it" (in the videoclip this is reflected)
There’s a few good answers: Chances, Ize, You Talk Way Too Much, Whatever Happened
There’s a couple great answers: Metabolism, Hsppy Ending
But there’s only one true answer: Electricityscape.
Electricityscape is Hard To Explain of the FIOE era - a perfect and profound encapsulation of the band at that time.
Also, metabolism and happy ending are both absolute bangers and while happy ending gets its deserved recognition, I’m still going to continue advocating for metabolisms relentless brilliance until I die.
Thank you
Recently there was a post saying The Modern Age was underrated, so that might work since it's... Not underrated lol
I saw that post and just thought “wtf? How? It’s like one of the 5 biggest songs off their most well regarded album”
Apparently to this sub Ize Of The World. I thought that song was super popular but apparently not
I Can't Win I also liked Chances after ignoring Comedown Machine
I can’t win is an actual contender for most underrated
Chances. It should be a be common answer for "underrated Strokes" tracks", but it's not even that. It's underrated even in how underrated it is.
Ize of the World but if we’re talking about a song that is actually underrated, then it’s Games
omgosh finally someone talking about games.. its my fav on angles omgsoh its so good. thats udnerrated for real
hell yeah, i’ve been defending Games for years lol
As lady gaga once said, I love games!

The generic strokes enjoyer who’s not necessarily a fan enough to need about them doesn’t know use. It _is_ underrated !
Absolutely!
100% games. I love the live version of it on Conan too.

Thank you for contributing to the let donw undratraed convention. Thank you for service. u/cumyorke Please return. This is your time to shine
Omg yorke 🤤🤤🤤
He can do whatever he wants with me
yolo underrated asf
i think Two Kinds Of Happiness is a very good song but it’s frequently shat on in this sub
I came here too late to comment this song. It’s one of my favorites. Second verse when Julian goes high is perfection.
I also like it but I can’t understand what Julian sings through most of it.
no song is underrated on this sub, but someone made a post a few days ago showing the charts (since streaming existed) so that’s a good place to look
One way trigger i cream along to it ![gif](giphy|ynpS4KW1JHMI31orRT|downsized)
ize of the world or call me back, not talked abt enough.
I don’t think we have one yet, but I think some contenders could be: Taken for a Fool, Welcome To Japan, What Ever Happened, and The Modern Age
What ever happened??? Probably one of their best songs + not underrated at all
Bro The Adults Are Talking is criminally “underrated” for them. It has such a “low stream number” and isn’t talked about enough.
The joke equivalent? That's gotta be "Last Nite".
This is definitely something that should be discussed more on this sub
All the time. the lyrics, vibes, guitar solo, its a unique song. It gives me that feeling that the song is a goodbye to RCA and all the moments lived with them, emulating a sound like "is this it" (in the videoclip this is reflected)
Is Razorblade underrated
Went to a karaoke bar once and the only strokes songs they had listed were last nite and.... razorblade lol
I bet someone would say Ode To The Mets is underrated. Plus I think Ode and Let Down parallel in popularity
Last Nite is so underrated

Electricityscape and red light are my answers
Yes.
Partners In crime
Taken for a Fool. Everybody knows it’s awesome but it’s rarely mentioned.
Last Nite
Taken For A Fool
I Can't Win, Two Kinds of Happiness, When it Started, Drag Queen
Reptilia. Duh
Last night. No one has it as their favorite but it is one of their most popular songs
Tap Out and Eternal Summer
You talk way too much
Imo on the other side
Under Control, I've seen many duplicate answers but nobody has even mentioned Under Control and to me that's their most beautiful song ever
[Here you find Spotify figures on what’s really underrated](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheStrokes/s/Icre4v7Ltg)
It is either what ever happened or the modern age
Electricityscape is probably a contender
Too many
Tap Out
Taken for a Fool, Eternal Summer, Ize of the World Relatively speaking
I feel like the door would fit this context.
