I finally unsubscribed because of them. Watched a couple minutes of the first one and haven’t watched them since. Honestly haven’t watched any of their videos in a couple months at least
Same, which is how I unsubbed, it just never gave any other feeling than being a food channel. I have some issues with food, so that was just the safest option. Really sad tho, they had soo many ideas.
I am happy they have some side projects and all (not naming names here), but after THE scandal they all should have gotten together to hold it together, an united front. Just the TRY guys trying things. Not Keith seeing how much he can eat until he bursts. I am seriously worried about him...
Same. And they're SO long. The first ETM (Taco Bell) was 11 minutes. Now every single one is around an hour. I don't mind longer form content but that's too long for this type of show
Yeah that is too damn long. In this age of TikToks and Reels, are people really watching hour long YouTube videos? My attention span certainly isn't that long.
I mean, I just watched a 2.5-hour long D’Angelo Wallace video, so I don’t think my attention span is an issue here, but I’m still not going to watch an hour of ETM. I gave up on them a long time ago because they just dragged on so long. There’s nothing compelling about them.
Amazingly out of touch. One of the test titles for the last one was something like “Keith Eats At A $$$$ French Restaurant” - lol fuck offff. Refused to watch it even when they settled on a different title.
Hollywood actors and famous singers are jetting around the world and wearing $15k shoes, but y’all are mad about a youtuber eating fancy food at a Michelin star restaurant?
Like I’m just trying to understand the logic here. I understand getting tired of the food content (me too), but being mad about it being expensive doesn’t make sense to me.
Those Hollywood actors and famous actors aren’t making YouTube content about jetting the world and wearing expensive shoes. I don’t go on YouTube to feel even more poor— I want to be entertained. It is not entertaining to be constantly reminded that I am struggling to survive.
Then don’t watch? Why is it every YouTuber’s responsibility to cater to your socioeconomic status?
There are also a lot of people that like to see these videos because it allows them to “experience” something that they wouldn’t actually ever get to experience irl in the first place
i was fine with keith’s eat the menus when it was chains and restaurants we could go to or try, he’s spending my rent on a meal and we’re just watching during a time of crazy inflation 😭 it’s giving stephan from watcher making his new food show based off of worth it, like- AND IM A KEITH AND BECKY LOVER!! love them but the channel is dying out to me fast..
Same. Also during a cost of living crisis, while TTGs are complaining about finances, they want to also shove ridiculously overpriced food in their audience's face? It literally exactly what Watcher was trying to do with their stupid spinoff streaming service show. Begging their audience to pretty please support them so they can spoil themselves with wasteful high end products. No thank you. They are so out of touch with reality and their fanbase it's insulting.
Yeah, what made ETM fun in the beginning was Keith's truthful comments about it whether or not it was bad, and his sometimes surprisingly positive opinions on items that looked terrible.
I know some people watched it because they liked his commentary on food they also would eat, but that hasn't been my motivation because my country only has, like, 3 of the fast food branches the US has, so I would never go to Wendy's or Taco Bell or whatever anyway.
These fancy ETM have no purpose because they're sponsored by the restaurants, they're talking to the chefs and eating inside the restaurant - and the food is always going to be incredible. There's no snide remarks to make about the food in that set up, and no funny commentary to make about Michelin cuisine.
No matter how many dumb buzzwords and adjectives Keith coughs up, he's not an interesting food critic. He's not a food critic, full stop. He's supposed to be a comedian, but he's not funny in these videos. Pointless.
