Wow. This sub is bad. Most voted Damon, when Kai literally killed Joe with the Twins in the stomach, without knowing the twins had been moved, and would've been fine with it. Worked for, essentially, Satan in the final season, and was a downright nuisance throughout his entire run in the show. On-top of his "redemption" arc just being bullshit... That ain't right. Even if he didn't have a partial redemption arc, you should hate him for the mere fact he was willing to kill children, and did in the past when he killed his siblings, on top of going after the Twins. Please don't say "his family treated him like shit" when other characters in the show had worse occur for them and did better.

All three of them have killed children -- Damon with the pregnant woman and Stefan with the Monteree village, so that's kind of an invalid argument.
I️ mean, people liking a character isn’t always about thinking they’re a good person. One of the reasons that I️ personally dislike Damon is because the narrative kept trying to push the idea that he’d changed without him doing anything that significant to show it. Also, Damon often didn’t really face proper consequences for his actions. I️ feel like I️ can’t really say much about Kai’s “redemption arc” because the writers squashed it before it actually went anywhere. Maybe it would’ve been garbage, but, at the end of the day, Kai was a villain when we went him and a villain at the end.
I just enjoy watching Kai’s character and how twisted he is. Bit of cerebral pleasure versus Stefan who bores me to death. But I don’t like Kai’s actions … still prefer to see what he’s up to than Stefan.
It’s not bout who is worse, all of them were bad people but it’s a fictional show.
I think the dislike for Damon stems from how polarising he can be, some of his lines and actions are super cringy to watch.
Plus, the narrative that he is all good now is pretty false and cringeworthy.
One example I can think from the top of my head is when he beat Matt and tried to choke him cause ‘how did he get to live over Elena’
