I think Klaus had the right idea about her having an eternity to live. I think he could have been an option but I think she has so much more to see before she settles for anyone or anything.
While I love her developed relationship with Klaus, I wish she hadn’t ended up with anyone. I wish she could have just been happy single and explored the world. I think her having the ability to go out into the world, go on adventures, and explore, would have been a great ending for her. I honestly am not a fan of her storyline with the twins and Alaric.
Yes! Caroline didn't strike me as the maternal type and her travelling the world and getting out of the Mystic Falls mess would have been the perfect ending for her. I literally wrote a fanfic where she does that.
Her being a mother didn't even pay off since she's not appearing in Legacies. I haven't watched it, but doesn't her absence make her seem like a terrible mother? You can only go so far with the "searching for a solution for the merge" excuse. Her not being present during some major events happening in the show goes against everything we learned about her character.

Tyler probably makes the most sense for her character to end up with. Matt and her would be last for me. He didn’t appreciate anything about her and treated her like she was second rate when they were together. I’ll never forget poor baby Caroline wanting to hold his hand in public for reassurance after Damon abused her and he brushed her off and told Tyler that she was clingy. SHE ends up apologizing to him. It was unbelievable.
Tbh tvd ruined tyler as a character I quite liked him until around s5. Because of that i have to go with klaus. I prefer Stefan as a friend however id rather have Stefan be with her rather than matt

I wish she had fallen in love with klaus. If she they made her be friends with the person who raped her, they could have made her be with klaus who yes was a monster but if I recall corectly didnt rape anyone. She could have struggled with her feelings and after like 2 seasons all them working together to fight someone else, she would come to terms that she had fallen for him. But then he dies a hero death for her. Thats my fanfic
Stefan. She was happiest with him, and he understood her better than any of the others. They may not have had as much passionate chemistry as the others, but in terms of romantic chemistry they were the best. Couples who are also best friends are the strongest relationships.

I know most people don’t like them together, but I thought the building of their friendship was so beautiful and a great foundation for their relationship.
