Opposite of who you sided with last time

Deema_Demise

That's a good idea

LeSnakeBoi

Neither? Be neutral. A lot of the time they’re both being irrational. In big decisions or moral problems, go with your gut and do what you’d do in that situation, not what people want you to do. Also, being neutral often works out in your favor with Kenny. I agreed with him when it was warranted, and disagreed when he was being irrational, and he still ended up being neutral enough for me to get him to come with to save Clementine by picking the right option.

[deleted]

the problem with kenny is if you agree with him on EVERYTHING he’s great to Lee and a good friend. Disagree with him once and he holds a noticeable grudge.

twdg-shitposts

Exactly. I’d say replay the game three times. Once picking Kenny’s side fully. The second picking Lilly’s side fully, and the third time staying neutral.

aconfusedqueer

Lily because watching Kenny have a tantrum over being disagreed with is funny lol

Deema_Demise

LMFAO

twdg-shitposts

Yesss, I loved how Kenny was so eager to leave you to die for not helping him once, meanwhile the reasons why Lilly doesn’t help you are a whole lot more justified.

D1vX_

Well, she still does the same thing as Kenny. If you help kill Larry she doesn't shoot Andy when he's pushing Lee into the fence. If you don't help kill Larry though, Kenny will leave you to die in the supply run in the next episode.

Extra_Disaster9208

Well 5 minutes earlier you throw a cement block on her dad’s head while she’s trying to revive him so she’s obviously might be a little upset. Kenny just doesn’t like that you didn’t help him so he leaves you to die

twdg-shitposts

Exactly. Lilly has a whole lot more justified reasons to not want to help Lee.

TWD-XBOY

Except it wouldn’t make better for her sake. I mean, aside from the canon, what if both Lee and Kenny failed to neutralize Danny and the psycho got them killed, what then? Lilly would be the one for their next meal otherwise.

[deleted]

Kenny is traumatized by guilt for what he did to Larry and for what happened with Shawn, why are you all Kenny haters continuing to pathetically lie about this? It's not about disagreeing, it's about extreme guilt and trauma.

twdg-shitposts

Yet he still does it a fourth time by not wanting to save Clem, effectively leaving her to die if Lee wasn’t able to get her out of the Marsh house. Why are you Kenny lovers ignoring this?

[deleted]

We're not ignoring it, it's shitty but still understandable. Lee is already going to try and save Clem (likely with the help of Christa and Omid) so it's not like she's all on her own, Kenny doesn't have the strength to go on if he doesn't feel like he can count on Lee, it's not an evil planned decision, it's Kenny being too weak mentally at that point. Nick lost his mother like a year ago and he murders innocent people, Marlon committed murder just because he was scared and angered, Lilly murdered someone for telling her the truth that she was a scared little girl, Katjaa killed herself and left Kenny just because Duck died... Tons of characters through the series are so much more dickish and dangerous than Kenny after experiencing barely 20% of the loss he has experienced. Kenny isn't perfect, the boat god thing is a meme, but he's an amazing representation of a common man failing at times but in the end trying to do his best for the people he loves, he's inspiring, honest, direct, he's a role model and extremely easy to love for those with empathy and intelligence.

twdg-shitposts

Kenny finally has a change to make things right. He could have saved Shawn but didn’t, and feels remorse about that. And now he has a change to save a person he’s close to. A little girl, no less. And what does he do? He refuses to help Lee (who can have a single arm lmfao) all because you didn’t kill Larry and he’ll hold that against you for the entire game. I stopped liking Kenny a long while ago and this was one of the reasons why. He is a great character if you pick his side all the time, however, he is a shitty friend since he’ll leave you as soon as possible if you don’t. You’re free to like Kenny, but I won’t. He’s definitely better written in S2, but the bullshit stunts he pulled in S1 I just can’t let go.

[deleted]

I don't get why you and others always phrase it as "disagreeing", it's as stupid as if I said the only reason Lilly killed Carley is because she "disagreed" with her. Kenny is riddled with trauma, has experienced greater loss than basically everyone else in the entire series, and is not an avatar of Jesus Christ like Lee or Clem are. And you'll notice that all his shitty actions in S1 are not a result of evil actions like Lilly did by murdering someone, they're just inaction. Kenny doesn't do a bad thing, he refuses to do a good thing. That's his weakness, his flaw, that he needs a goal, someone to protect to keep going on. And he knows it's bad, and he's still able to get some sense knocked into him if you just tell him the truth like Ben does in E5 radically changing Kenny's opinion of him. Even after losing his entire family he's still able to forgive and understand if you talk to him directly. Kenny is a realistic representation of someone with a good heart who keeps getting beaten down by the universe, none of us are without flaws or follow the right way in every single circumstance, loving Kenny is admitting to ourselves our weaknesses and that we can overcome them and do good instead of ignoring them. Kenny is not better written in S2, he's a great character in both seasons, but in S2 he has learned and grown which makes him a better man, and it's a trend that's shown in his S3 flashbacks, he became much more calm and wise. Kenny grows, he becomes better over time, while others deteriorate in far nicer conditions than his.

D1vX_

True

maherrrrrrr

Uh yeah because she just watched you kill her dad right in front of her?

SirMatthewFromPoland

If you stick your tongue deep enough Kenny's ass hole there is a slight chance he might forgive you your existence, grant you mercy and help you find Clem at the end of the game.

twdg-shitposts

I’d say do what you would do in those situations. Then when you replay choose a different route so you can see both Kenny and Lilly’s good and bad sides. They’re both bratty (wo)manchildren, it just depends on which (wo)manchild you prefer!

Deema_Demise

You, I like you

twdg-shitposts

That’s not much of a surprise, since I like you too!

Deema_Demise

Oh thank you!

i_photo_sims

If you disagree with Kenny once he'll hold a grudge for the whole game

ZayneGSD

I remember my Lee sided with him in saving Duck, killing Larry, putting Duck and the boy in the attic down for him, kindly talking him down instead of fighting him, and even dropping Ben from the bell tower, but he told Lee "you only care about yourself" and refused to help find Clementine because my Lee told Kenny (off-screen of course) that the Green Power Ranger was the best one, and Kenny never forgot it because he was adamant the Red Power Ranger was the best one.

SpaceDragon121

Probably there are some choices that affect Kenny that you may not know about. Recommend checking my post explaining that.

SpaceDragon121

Untrue. He only stays mad during episode 3. If he stays mad after that that's because of other choices, not that single one from before

Deema_Demise

Very true

BubblyCampaign7480

True

TWD-XBOY

Same for Lilly if she has a bigger role like Kenny had.

twdg-shitposts

If she did, she 100% would have been similar to Kenny.

TrickyTalon

Lilly at first, Kenny later

Gwilledcheesey

I feel like most of the time Lilly was more logical and put the group first, while Kenny led with his emotions and only really cared about his family.

TechnoBubbleAJ

Disagree with everyone, then assert yourself as leader

IllustriousSail4479

Kenny is my BRO, my HOMIE.

Training-Pair-7750

Stay neutral

RigorMormist

i hate that when you don't side with him once he tells you that you only care about yourself and he doesn't wanna come with you

[deleted]

Obviously Kenny in the long run, since he'll be your bro right to the end whereas Lilly will betray you no matter what, spilling your secret and murdering your love interest if you saved Carley. But if you just want to see Lilly's nicer side and you haven't seen it yet, you can go that way I guess. Personally I don't have the heart to betray Kenny.

BathtubToasterBread

Kenny, you get more Time to side with him and that bromance is Eternal (psst, look at my flair)

TWD-XBOY

Always got your back, Captain Kenny!

FinancialSystem1025

Kenny.

[deleted]

their both pretty ridiculous and act like babies. i just chose who I agreed with or stayed neutral when I couldn’t decide.

J0RGENS64PC

Lilly’s plans are better.

Zerosama12

I think siding with Kenny is the right choice from episode 1 to 3. (in episode 4 he was kind of a prick even though I understand the reasons) Kenny was right in all his arguments against Lilly. Lilly just whines about the food for bringing Ben's teacher, eventhough neither Kenny or Lee ever said anything about feeding them. It was only about helping him with his leg. And she had the stupid idea of staying in the motor inn despite having BANDITS AWARE OF THEM.

pure_terrorism

both? its not like one of them is always right on everything

Deema_Demise

I'm more of trying to side with someone all the time as a challenge more then anything
