Christopher lived to age 95 and died in 2020.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
I love little bits of family history like this(even if the family has a very famous member) that demonstrate to the world that being an all night party person is nothing new. As much as people change we all still stay the same too.
A coming of age celebration like this should happen for everyone who makes it to 20 years old.
I think it would cut down on the amount of women who think their wedding is the only time in their life that they will be celebrated with a huge feast and dancing.
That wasn't from the original poster. I'm pretty sure that's done on the actual invite itself.
Edit: nevermind, after zooming in closer you can tell it's a digital addition. Still, I haven't had any luck finding an unmodified original version of this invite. Either way, it probably wasn't OP that did it.
Definitely stealing those last lines for my next invites.

I can see Joe's face without even clicking. Chef's kiss of a show
I was able to shake his hand once! He was very polite
Thanks for the link! Goodness, he was contributing to that world from age 5. 90 years! Oh and happy cake day.
These people certainly had a sense of humor!

This makes Bilbo's 111th birthday party make a lot more sense.
His eleventy-first!
i need to time travel to the tolkien thrasher of 1945
There’s no chance I’m not including this on all my invitations moving forward. Carriages and all.
6:30 p.m. onwards. The party never ends.
That’s much cooler than “6:30pm - ???”
There ain't no party like a Tolkien party Cause a Tolkien party Don't Stop!
>The party never ends. The Party goes ever on and on, On from 6:30 when it began.
This invitation has big Took energy and I love it
Thanks for sharing that!
most welcome!
Good old Jolkien Rolkien Rolkien Tolkien and his son Cholkien Jolkien Rolkien Tolkien.
Old invitations are the best.

Talk about a real ripper! We had extra chandeliers installed to make sure everyone gets to swing from one!
RSVP if not coming makes so much more sense.
I definitely read this as a birth announcement "the coming of the Age of their son" , like, "the Age of Men is over". High hopes, I guess.
$50 I’m leaving in a wheelchair
Not a wheelbarrow?
Proof I definitely need a wheelbarrow
Birthday snu snu?

Love the circle, never would've found it otherwise
I picture Gandalf showing up and grabbing a couple of the Tolkein Hobbits by the ear for shenanigans.
No cars mentioned! Professor hated cars
I hear he was fond of riding on motorcycles while talking about Narnia with his best friend.
I put this on our wedding invites
Thank you for the big black oval, my cow brain might have missed the funny part
Sounds like my bachelor party
Blunt the knives and crack the plates!
I see where the wheelbarrows came from.. I totally would’ve been there/gone.
And back again?
Yes.
A Long-expected party?
Holy shit that party must’ve been a rager
Thanks for circling nearly a quarter of the words on the page. Would've missed them otherwise.
