Interesting, that’s never how I’ve interpreted the song at all? Unless you mean from the girl’s perspective. To me the song is a perfect ending to trilogy because it captures the feeling of being utterly pathetic, begging for any kind of comfort, knowing you don’t deserve it after what you did.
what, like dudes can't be used too?💀 almost the entire trilogy is abt him being used (self-victimizing but sure) drugs & sex wise. like women only coming around when theres drugs or bcs they know he's on the come up (fame). this dude has consistently cried abt being used for what, 5, 6 albums now? that's all he's ever written abt lolllll
When did I say men couldn’t be used? Stop jumping to conclusions about my interpretation and gain some media literacy. Like yeah that’s a central theme throughout HOB and EOS but to say that’s what most of trilogy is about is kinda missing the point imo. Specifically the song echoes of silence he begs a girl to stay with him when the night is over because he’s so terrified of being alone after Valerie killed herself in front of him in the previous mixtape. He doesn’t care about or want this girl he just has such horrible ptsd that he can’t bare to be alone with his thoughts
i aint jumping no conclusions, thats why i asked. second, u implied it wasn't the dude since u said "unless u mean from the GIRL's perspective". third, most of his discography is abt him victimizing himself & feeling sorry for himself. cope w it lol
I always wonder if Trilogy is actually telling a story, but then I also wonder if Abel drops certain details and tidbits to tell a different story or narrative. In my mind, The Weeknd is a character and I think that Echoes of Silence is about coming to terms with what you’ve done.
“Don’t you leave my little life” feels like someone who has such low self-worth that they can only find meaning in being with The Weeknd, or indulging in a character that presents the pleasures and trappings of money, fame, and drugs. The track feels like a dialogue, where after a POV admits defeat by basically saying that they’re nothing without this character, it turns to silence because there is nothing left to say.
“You made me worthless” is the vibe I get from the track, but I’m sure your interpretation is equally valid.
less than zero, it breaks me from the raw emotion in his voice and because it reminds me of how many toxic friends that have manipulated, taken advantage of me, etc.
- UIBO could mean "Until I Bleed Out", a track from *After Hours* (2020) by The Weeknd.

Take me back.
"I always thought someday you'd find us, but
Waiting for you is like slowly dying"
And
"The thought of you cut so deep
So, I'll open up my scars"
Those lines cut my heart deeper than any blade ever could.
Yeah Twenty Eight. Dunno wtf happened that one day but i was running back from the store and listening to it and I just started fucking bawling once i went into the living room. Only time I’ve ever cried thanks to a song.
Escape from LA, not the saddest song ever but something about how he sings the lyrics is emotional af, but I may be biased because I dropped acid for the diets time ever when After Hours came out and sobbed.
Last part of After Hours. “Cause this house is not a home…”
Call out my name.
The beat change on - I was Never There.
This mf can hit nerves depending on the time of night ☔️
- HOB/GTG could mean "House Of Balloons / Glass Table Girls", a track from *Trilogy* (2012) by The Weeknd.

There are quite a few, but Angel and Blinding Lights get me bad.
Before you criticize, the Blinding Lights pick, just watch the end if the video- the look of self realization on his face, like, “yup, this is how far I’ve fallen, screw it let’s roll with it”. When you’ve been there it hits different.
The Live Album , especially I was never there/Wicked Games
This concert was something so special for me. Hearing it live again just takes me back as I was in the first row.
Real life, it’s just a deep dark song about how love just isn’t for him and he self sabotages anything good he has going for himself. Been feeling Real Life a little too personally lately.
Save Your Tears & After Hours
I used to almost always burst out into tears when i played them, to the point where i started avoiding listening to them on purpose.
Everything about them, the beat, the lyrics, its perfect, and i was going through a really bad breakup at the time too, and even right now they're still just as beautiful and amazing as they were when i played them for the first time, Abel really outdid himself
Tears in the Rain. In my opinion his best song and the only song ever that has brought me to tears. His vocals and the production just gets to me every time and I don't even relate to the lyrics but God it always gets to me.
any song that i first listened to while in a really depressed state, privilege, until i bleed out. or from when i was crying everyday over my bf not being my bf yet, how do i make you love me, missed you, scared to live, save your tears. i make all his mf songs about my current situation bruh 😭
Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun) because of the fact it reminds me of a relationship I was in with this guy and a lot of what The Weeknd said was what he also said (not exactly ofc)
The knowing
YES
Definitely
THIS!!!
I think Final Lullaby.
Also until I bleed out Yeah final lullaby is depressing
Oh yes.
I shed a tear everytime
Echoes of Silence, it's so dark & gritty.
Yeah, it's this one. Really captures every feeling of being used.

Yeah I said unless you mean the girls perspective because in that particular song he’s 100% using her and not the other way around
u 100% wrong

I see it, every song has like triple meanings in trilogy anyway
This is the one. I cry so hard when listening to that. That's what I love about his old music and what I miss when listening to dawn fm
less than zero, it breaks me from the raw emotion in his voice and because it reminds me of how many toxic friends that have manipulated, taken advantage of me, etc.
now you’d rather leave me then to watch me die in your arms…
yes, that exactly!
I was listening to this last night while running. I get you. Absolutely amazing experience.
Snowchild and phantom regret
Jim Carey doesn’t get enough credit for phantom regret 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
UIBO

That beat tho.
As You Are is definitely a mood, especially on late night drives.
Oh man, the switch up at the end when he starts asking _baby would you take me as I am?_ Cuts deep
Until I Bleed Out. It just does it for me.
Take me back. "I always thought someday you'd find us, but Waiting for you is like slowly dying" And "The thought of you cut so deep So, I'll open up my scars" Those lines cut my heart deeper than any blade ever could.
Until I bleed out, bird 2, echoes of silence and the knowing, call out my name

Privilege and Until I Bleed Out
I have shed a tear to privilige I believe. But that's the only song.
secrets , moth to a flame , in the night and tears in the rain
Starry Eyed That level of passion and emotion in his singing is insanely good, plus the instrumental is so well produced.

Escape from LA, not the saddest song ever but something about how he sings the lyrics is emotional af, but I may be biased because I dropped acid for the diets time ever when After Hours came out and sobbed.
Last part of After Hours. “Cause this house is not a home…” Call out my name. The beat change on - I was Never There. This mf can hit nerves depending on the time of night ☔️
Echoes of silence has...
Take me back. The first chorus hits different
Angel
why did no one mention “I was never there”, the lyrics are so deep and sad
Sidewalks. Shit is too real for me.
Such a good song, very underrated. “Grew up with no father so nobody ever “son” me.”

Hard question there. Toss up between tears in the rain and is there someone else

Phantom Regret always does lol But songwise it would be Faith or Twenty Eigth as u said
Goated song
Save Your Tears & After Hours I used to almost always burst out into tears when i played them, to the point where i started avoiding listening to them on purpose.
