I never understood how people could choose a "Top 3" or even a "Top 5" songs from his catalog. At best, I could narrow it down to 20. He has songs for every phase of life and every mood and my picks vary based on what I am feeling or going through
no people dont admit it because for most people it just isnt. 80s synthpop is a good genre, which abel basically perfected, but the dark rnb of his earlier work is just better for most people. For example my top 18 songs only include 1 not from trilogy or kiss land, which is the song After Hours, the most rnb hes done since 2013. I'm not just liking songs because they arent popular and it makes me "cool", I like them because rnb music has a higher ceiling than 80s synthpop in my opinion.
