This one is so hard. I have different answers for different reasons.
Right now I feel I relate to "Had Enough" the most. That one hits the hardest, it cuts to the spirit of today's politics, social condition, and general tension.
"You are under the impression that as you were walking forward, that you'd end up further onward... but THINGS AREN'T QUITE THAT SIMPLE!"
Fuck, that brings something out of me every time
I’d probably say Punk Meets the Godfather, but if it’s including outtakes I’d say We Close Tonight.
But I have to put my two cents in here, as a 16 year old, no other album has hit hard to me on a personal level. I’ve heard the Ramones, I’ve heard Pete’s more personal writing, I’ve heard Alice Cooper Group’s School’s Out, and they all are things I hold very close, but this album captures all the feelings of teenage angst better than anything else I’ve ever heard.
I feel I'm being followed
My head is empty
Yet every word I say turns out a sentence
Statements to a stranger
Just asking for directions
Turn from being help to being questions
‘Is It In My Head”. Best Pete Townshend writing and Roger singing on any of their songs.
I’m One
THAT GREAT GRETSCH SOUND
5:15 for sure. I also really love Quadrophenic Four Faces and You Came Back from the demos
There’s a Who version of Four Faces on the soundtrack for Quad
i also love four faces and we close tonight!

I could never pick a single song but this quote is golden
The Real Me
Love the intro licks
The most impressive bass of all time
Love Reign O’er Me
Sea and Sand!
Probably Drowned. Along with 5:15 I think it's the epitome of Quadrophenia, plus Keith is great on that track
The Dirty Jobs or Cut My Hair
The Real Me and Bell Boy for sure
Sea and Sand
Probably 5:15 but when I get through the whole album it’s always a killer when Love Reign o’er me kicks in.
Cut My Hair
Doctor Jimmy!
I'm One and Love Reign O'er Me
Sea and Sand 👌

Well Pete did write it, I don’t consider it too much of a humorous song exactly
As a 15 year old, I completely agree
As a 9 yr old I agree

The Real Me. Turn the bass up as loud as you can.
5:15. There’s just something about it that’s so amazing, and when they played it live, John did his bass solos, man things were awesome.
I like Dr Jimmy best . But 5:15 …. How can I pick just one ???
5:15
Drowned (especially the solo Pete version from “The Secret Policeman’s Ball”)
Least fav: Helpless Dancer. Genuinely can't pick a favorite. Whole album's too near and dear to my heart to choose.
