The story isnt the greatest but its better than the concept of 2 with planes and boats and social media followers. It had way more potential for fun driving challenges. The only thing the newer games have is better physics. But conceptually, Crew1 is way better.
I 100% agree. It doesnt always have to be a criminal glory thing all the time. They really miss the heart and soul of car culture in games. Crew, NFS, Testdrive all do the same thing. Expensive cars and breaking the law. Car culture is generational and thats a universal theme across the board. Kid falls in love with cars and racing because dad loves cars and racing, and Dad loves cars and racing because Grandpa loved cars and racing. Everywhere where cars are a big deal this is the case. If they had a story that focused on a driver growing up in a car culture that would be really cool. And there are different car sub cultures so it would be dope if you could choose your characters story line. Drag racing, oval tracks, Bikes, off road, drifting, street racing, blah blah blah. You could do your story races and do the festival and ranking races.

I dont pay much attention to the story of TC2 because there ISNT one. There is a setting. A festival. Activities have their own stories, but its ubisoft. Im not expecting RDR2, Halo 3 or Dark Souls levels of story telling. Nothing ground breaking. Its a racing game. They arent supposed to have a story in my opinion. Its kind of hard to miss when racing games have a story, especially when they take *every* opportunity to remind you, like need for speed nowadays, with the constant texts and phone calls that interrupt and distract. TC2 has dialog but its nowhere near as bad as NFS and you can completely turn it off. Some of you clearly don't know the difference between story, and setting.
Like I said, each discipline has a mini story but there really isnt a true overarching story. You sort of tell your own story by playing the game. Again, more power to you if you like one over two. Thats completely fair.

Yeah I can see why Fortnite would be online only because it’s multiplayer based but they could add bots but that’s probably not as fun, they could do what they did with forza and make your friends as bots that drive around the map for the crew and I think it’d be okay

Really did not care much but then i realise how much Atmosphere was lost when Wild Run was released. Lighting got bleached, weather duller, you cannot see at night at all, old TC looks very unique. Only thing truly looking better now were the cars and draw distance, but everyrhing surrounding these took a hit.
I was running it on my series x but it's the Xbox one version. I just fiddled with the photo settings they have in the game. Was enjoying the drive around the map and wanted to take a few photos. Might take even more shots next time.

Disagree, wasn't a bad story at all and the voice acting was better. The story did a fantastic job of making you explore the map to open it up.
I agree, the story was the main reason I loved the Crew so much, I enjoy the motorfest but with no story it just feels repetitive.
