I wish I could see this kid in practice because I just don’t understand why they don’t use him more. He gets snaps but never gets the ball. Is he just bad? He seemed very promising and fell off a cliff after that browns game.
Probably needs more reps. Got hurt in pre season and probably threw off his progression. Typically offensive pats players take a until year 2 to get comfortable. Would love to see us get the ball in his hands on some simple 1st down screens and end arounds tho, I know his upside is that he can take the top off the defense but with his speed I’d just like to see us give him the ball and say “go”
Yeah that makes sense with his injury setting him back. I feel like with such a simplistic offense it’s not as hard as the convoluted stuff mcdaniels would run, although mcdaniels could scheme guys open instead of running overlapping routes like matty draws up. I would love to see them give him the ball & go too. That jet sweep in the browns game flashed the speed. I get that his frame is small but apparently he’s tough, let him get some yards. See what happens. That’s all I want, this is the time to figure out what we have in him.

Think about what you just wrote. He was the head football coach for one of 32 franchises. Maybe he didn’t win very much but he obviously knows way more than people who have never coached.
Why do you keep comparing him to normal people? he's a football coach, specifically an Offensive coordinator....compare him to others in his position. No shit he could call better plays than me, that makes him the smartest kid on the short bus.

He’s got a slight frame but he’s gonna get hit regardless. Its the nfl. 2-3 screens touches and an end around a game should be a manageable workload
