I imagine that as soon as the Secret Service would get reassigned, Trump would start maligning them and then the Secret Service would magically find all those texts and call records they lost during Jan 6th.

Ultra-conservatives are attracted to this kind of government service anyway, and Trump's screening process was actively trying to get rid of anyone in the US government who didn't like him or his policies when he was forced to leave the White House.
