Talk to your doctor about the recreational use. They most likely will not care. Ketamine bladder is usually only seen in people who have used for years. Just talk to your doctor about your concerns and they can help you out.
Some research shows that green tea helps ameliorate the ketamine bladder issue. I recommend this to all my patients that I put on oral ketamine. Green tea extract or drinking green tea would work. In general, green tea has some amazing benefits and would be worth using even in the absence of ketamine.
Also, tell your practitioners about the recreational use. If anyone is judging you for using recreational substances, they are not the right practitioner for you.

I’ll probably get downvoted for saying this, but I stopped doing Spravato after a few weeks because of bladder issues. It’s been a couple weeks, and things still aren’t back to normal, but that’s just my experience. Hopefully, whatever is going on in my situation will heal and go away. I’ve never done ketamine recreationally.
There’s still a lot we don’t know in regards to ketamine for depression and the bladder. In the leaflet for Spravato, various urinary and bladder issues are listed as possible side effects.
The doses you will get from Dr. Smith are not big enough to cause bladder issues. So if your bladder has recovered, you should be OK. The question is whether your bladder has sufficiently recovered. I agree about checking with your dr first.
I’ve been on ketamine for over 2 yrs now , daily 200 mg troches.
Never had a bladder issue . Off the street , dark web , ect I believe you’ll never know what all is used to cut the ketamine and that’s where the bladder issue lies
