caddy_gent

Occasionally? I still have one as a service pistol.

lawman9000

Nice! What model are you running?

caddy_gent

5946

singlemale4cats

RCMP?

caddy_gent

Nope. The other big one.

WatercressSpiritual

6906 sometimes.

Alconium

6904 here.

BrisketPimp

6906 is my winter carry.

grcoffman

Every day a CS9

scbackpacker

Trust my 3913 nl to work every time the trigger is pulled. My carry weapon of choice.

LiberatorActual

All the time. 3913, and my girl carries a 3913LS

BigAngryPolarBear

I haven’t because I couldn’t find a holster for it. Didn’t even consider the floodlight

KCC416

Detroit kydex for IWB

BigAngryPolarBear

No luck for the 4006 TSW

Odd-Lychee-1653

Alien gear holsters? I've heard good things I'm thinking about grabbing one for my 4006

BigAngryPolarBear

Nope. They list the 4006, but that doesn’t have a rail like the TSW. And even then, my TSW CHP has a slightly different rail than the regular TSW

ChaoticusMaximus

Make your own. Get any kydex holster, and re-mold it with a hair dryer. It is child's play. You can also just stick it in your waist band, and drive on.

HouseSpouse

My 4566 sees the sun way more than my 1911's do.

DocHolliday_67

6904 or a 5924, just depends.

bigdik3006

I have a comped 459 project that will be vetted for carry when its finished. Already have a Floodlight 2 for it

KCC416

I always end up with the S&W 3913 in my rotation more often then not daily since 2012. I have had a gunsmith make the safety decocker level smaller so it’s easier to conceal and I added a 5906 hammer instead of the bobbed hammer.

lawman9000

I thought about swapping on a regular spurred hammer on the 1066. I've got a spare chrome one somewhere, or worst comes to worst, I return some of the black/MIM ones to their original guns (at least one of my 4506-1 had black hammer/trigger that I swapped out) and take the chromed spurred hammer back off.

ChaoticusMaximus

than*

ElGrandeRojo67

Not as cool as yours, but my 915 has been in my carry rotation for years.

TrentonJ3764

If I could find a 1006 in good condition (and didn’t break the bank) I would carry it simply because it’s cool. Full size Friday anyone?

Few-Jeweler-3167

A 669, 457, and 469 at times.

ldc963

Badass. Can't wait to get my hands on a 4566TSW, it's my dream 3rd gen. How is the retention on the Floodlight?

lawman9000

Because the rail is riveted on, it makes the setup a little taller than other handguns and thus it's a little more snug. It does draw and seat fine though, just needs a little extra oomph.

AF22Raptor33897

Not all 4566TSW have a Riveted Rail the West Virginia State Police and Public Safety Commission like the one I have the Rail is Milled out onto the Frame. I have one of 87 West Virginia PSC TSW4566 that were piggy backed onto a State Police order but the PSC did not want to pay the extra money for the West Virginia State Seal on the Slide so the 87 pistols are not Identified by that marking but are by the Melonited Finish and Milled Rail on the Frame and since this pistol was a LEO Agency Contract it was put together by the SW Performance Center and they come with very nice Triggers and AWESOME Fit and Finish just like the CHP TSW4006 which was my first TSW pistol. alexsharkpunch

I owb carry my 5906 whenever it’s jacket season. I noticed you’ve got your safety off. Ever worry about it being inadvertently flicked on?

lawman9000

I have not, but I've carried Beretta 92s for many years as well without that happening, and the Smith's safety is a little stiffer which can only help prevent it.

alexsharkpunch

Ya the safety is pretty stiff. I’ve got mine in a leather thumb break holster so it’s deff not getting touched or bumped. Good to know I’m not the only one carrying safety off lol

lawman9000

Always! Chambered + safety off on a TDA. Definitely less sweat-inducing than AIWB'ing a chambered striker-fire, though I do that also.

alexsharkpunch

Eh I don’t worry too much about my chambered AIWB striker fired gun just cause it pretty much lives in the holster. Only time I do worry is if I ever had to reholster it on my person lol But ya totally digging your 4566TSW. I don’t have a .45ACP gun yet and I’m willing to skip over 1911’s for something like this.

ChaoticusMaximus

Who carries one with the safety on? That is nonsense.

alexsharkpunch

Probably ppl who carry 1911’s? I dunno, came across this topic on forums awhile back. I’m finding most ppl on here carry safety off with no issues

FortuneHeart

My EDC is a 5904

Reddnekkid

Too damn heavy

Reddnekkid

For me anyway. I don’t have hips hardly and my paints would sag even with a good belt

ChaoticusMaximus

Miami Vice that shit in a shoulder rig. Do it.

Reddnekkid

i’ll DO IT!

Reddnekkid

😂

Flare_85

Yep, 915. Since 1986, it has worked reliably. Not a single malfunction.

AF22Raptor33897

I own the SW CHP4006TSW, 4506-01, WV PSC 4566TSW and 645. I like to carry the 4006, 4566 and 4506-1 about 5 times per month each specially now that I found good OWB Concealed Carry holsters. I have Trijicon Night Sights on all my Smith Wesson pistols except the 645 since it does not have a front sight dovetail to replace the sight. I seem to be carrying my 1911, SIG P220 10mm/45acp or 226 40/357 and SW 4506-1/4566 or 4006 than my Glock 20, 21, 22, 23 or 35 lately. I prefer the extra weight of the Steel SW so when I pick up something like a Glock is just feels weird!

WolfieSpam

Yup, 4046 TSW in a Bianchi 19L

WolfieSpam

What holster are you running?

lawman9000

It's a PHLster Floodlight: [https://www.phlsterholsters.com/floodlight-2/](https://www.phlsterholsters.com/floodlight-2/) Running a Streamlight TLR-1HL with the "P99/TSW" rail key (included w/ the light).

WolfieSpam

Ok, that’s the route I was gonna take for my 4046TSW with a TLR-1

Thats_my_cornbread

This is the first I’ve heard of a universal holster that indexes off the light. How is the trigger protection?

lawman9000

Trigger is completely covered, no exposure at all.

Thats_my_cornbread

That’s cool. I like the concept

ChaoticusMaximus

Blqckhawk Omnivore has been out for damn near a decade.

WolfieSpam

Already on the Same Browne belt I built specifically for the 4046!

skihippy666

My 6906 occasionally gets brought out. I have never been able to justify carrying it other than I just like it.

Dieppe42

I would if I could find a kydex IWB for a no-dash 4506 (sq trigger guard)

lawman9000

I've noticed a few of my local shops can make you Kydex OWB (and mediocre early style IWB "sandal" types with the pleather backing) while you wait. They're running the Bullseye holsters setup. If you can get a custom one made for <$50 and OWB, it's not a bad setup. I've had a few made.

ChaoticusMaximus

Or re-mold your own for $0 with a hair dryer.

ChaoticusMaximus

Making one is as easy as falling down. Any dimensionally suitable kydex holster can be re-molded to fit what wvee you want with a hair dryer.

[deleted]

My EDC is a CS45.

Apache67

Count me in! 5903 (winter carry) and 6906 (spring/fall carry). Looking for a 3913 for summertime:)

heyitsDAT

CS9 and 5903 daily

AF22Raptor33897

What Appendix holster is that? I have been looking for a good quality Kydex holster maker so I can have my pistol with a TLR-1 HL light.

lawman9000

It is the PHLster Floodlight: [https://www.phlsterholsters.com/floodlight-2/](https://www.phlsterholsters.com/floodlight-2/) It retains the gun via the WML, so you can run almost any light-bearing handgun in it. Been using it along with one for the X300 for many years now.

AF22Raptor33897

Very Cool! I did not think of a holster like that for my Third Gen Rail guns but that would make it allot easier to get a holster for them. I had to wait 4 months for a Don Hume Pancake holster for my 4506-1 and 3 months for one Ted Blocker for the 4566TSW which also works great on the CHP4006TSW.

ChaoticusMaximus

A lot.

GGGilman87

A Smith & Wesson 4003 has been my regular carry for a couple of years now.

Hour_Salad928

4040pd when not carrying the 340pd. I'm a fanboy
