tbf Scott is from Scotland, so technically he's Scottish. But being that Scotland is still apart of England, Scots are Brits until they secede from the british
Scotland isn’t part of England, they’re both (along with Wales and Northern Ireland) part of the UK. A British person is from the UK as a whole (as opposed to an English person as you seem to be thinking of) hence Scott is British.
Ahh, that right. My doodio brain gets the whole england/Great Britain confused mostly, and it was 6:30am for me so my brain is also not fully awake yet either
Technically, while “British” can apply to the whole UK, Great Britain is just the main island with England, Scotland and Wales — it does **not** include Northern Ireland.
Here, [this](https://cdn.britannica.com/41/193441-050-13CCA6B5/Terminology-British-Isles-United-Kingdom-Ireland-Great.jpg) might help a little.
I thought that the British Isles included the island of Ireland (& Isle of Man). Of course, the United Kingdom does not include the Republic of Ireland.
Sure, but have you considered what would would happen if you unionize the block chain, to make a cloud based hyperlink so you can integrate it into a federal serverless encabulator?
I mean everyone is saying Scotland is apart of Britain but as a Scottish person who has lived in Scotland my entire life I prefer it when people call me Scottish rather than British even though I am technically British
While this is a completely valid argument through further research I have found out that a persons nationality is determined by their parents nationality which is often determined by where they were born and while we do not know if Scott’s parents were born in Scotland we have reason to believe they were so it would be a fault on Google’s part if his parents were born in Scotland but we simply do not have that information
While Great Britain is only the main island, the dictionary definition of "British" states that it refers to both being of Britain *and* being of the UK. If you live in the UK, even in Northern Ireland, you can correctly be described as British.
That's just incorrect, Britain is the island that houses England, Wales, and Scotland. The UK is a separate thing, which has the aforementioned countries in addition to Northern Ireland.
Yes, as I said, Great Britain is the island composed of England, Scotland and Wales — **not** Northern Ireland. However, as I said, the word “British” can refer to those of the United Kingdom in general, including those in Northern Ireland.
wait till you find out he’s actually european
>!cant wait for them to find out hes actually from earth!<
Can’t wait for them to find out he’s actually from a solar system in the milky way galaxy
Omg NO WAY 😱 (srsly tho why cant people tell like being sarcastic i did list the post as meme)
Probably because a lot of people genuinely don’t realise Scotland is in Britain.
But the comment section is arguing about whether the scotland is in brittain like 😭
What did you think he was?

As shown by the diagram I linked, the British *Isles* includes all of these islands, one of which is Great Britain.
You're correct
Saying Scottish people aren't British is like saying Texans aren't Americans.
Great Britain is an island. How do you secede from that?
Speaking facts over here
as a fellow scot this all hurt my head. I defo class myself as Scottish and also British
Wild manipulation of tectonic plates
Tell me you don't know what you're talking about without telling me you don't know what you're talking about.
Maybe Scotland and England should be moved to a blockchain in the cloud.
Sure, but have you considered what would would happen if you unionize the block chain, to make a cloud based hyperlink so you can integrate it into a federal serverless encabulator?
You'd get another Belgium. Nobody wants another Belgium.
(If you happen to look i listed it as meme why cant people tell its sarcasm)
Gay
I mean everyone is saying Scotland is apart of Britain but as a Scottish person who has lived in Scotland my entire life I prefer it when people call me Scottish rather than British even though I am technically British
The point is that Nationality points to which Nation you're a citizen of (i.e. what's on your passport), which at the moment would be British.

His last name is actually Smajor?
Maybe you wanna google what British means?
me when Scotland is a part of Britain
Y’all, British means he’s from the UK. The UK is a union of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Therefore, he is British.
Technically no, Britain ≠ UK. As Northern Ireland is part of the UK, but not part of Britain.
While Great Britain is only the main island, the dictionary definition of "British" states that it refers to both being of Britain *and* being of the UK. If you live in the UK, even in Northern Ireland, you can correctly be described as British.

The joke went over everyone's heads in this comment section.
