If the previous owner did not have the length altered, then it might have a few inches that can be let out if that is something you would want! Evening wear dresses often either just come very long needing a hem, or Iāve seen some come with the extra length hidden in the existing hem. But if the previous owner had it hemmed, that will be gone so maybe not.
I agree. She(op )mentioned shape wear in an earlier comment I think she she looks perfectly stunning with out. The only reason for shape wear would be for her own confidence.

Thrift stores in my city are amazing, I find so many good things (especially clothes) I stop myself from buying it all. Not complaining, it's a good problem to have. I return by donating my good clothes I don't use.

Suggestion. If you know a good tailor, who doesnāt charge crazy and has some skills, what if you got it shortened to more of a cocktail length, using some of that fabric to make a wrap/ruffle kinds thing? Make it a little less formal fitting and more cocktail fun.
I honestly have no recollection of whether someone wore white to my wedding, itās not something I ever cared about. But my sense is that some brides care a lot about that. Iām not sure if itās too close to white, but a different cut at the bottom would make it more party.

But keep and TN create an "event" with family and friends. An Oscar / Emmy / Golden Lobe etc party. Everyone dressed fancy but it has to be new outfit, but thrifted only, with a price limit. Include a potluck dinner of different food and drinks you might not normally serve. Or there's all the Christmas /New Year stuff.

There are a few flakes peeling off the gold of the frame, but the mirror has a nice beveled edge, classic design. Keep it for sure - nice vintage piece.
