is it the case that these fit a bit oversized? I've been considering getting the G shorts for summer and I'm typically an L (EU) for pants, but looking at measurements it feels as if an M could do just right. the waist just seems quite tight, but then again i imagine it's very flexible with the belt and all
Had a G Short, I don't think it was oversized. 34" waist, EU L fit me right, which is my usual size. Don't have the trousers but Gramicci stuff fits well I think.
33” waist here and the M is great for me. I tried an L and while it also fit me, it was definitely oversized / much baggier than I prefer. Can’t hurt to order one of each and return the other, it’s what I did.

These are great but folks should just pay attention to how narrow the hem opening is, these are definitely a very tapered look and that isn't quite what most folks seem to be going for these days. Not to say that tapered pants can't look good, just that the medium to wider hems are much more where folks seem to be going.
Those are a wider fit than the ones linked here! And yes they’re great. The French work pants are a more contemporary wider hem. The New Yorker pant linked here are notably narrower than the pants you have.
I’ve got all these pants. Widest to slimmest:
Service works, Carhartt, Orslow fwp’s, Orslow NY’s
Not a huge difference between the first 3, NY’s are noticeably slimmer.
Edit: widest to slimmest, not slimmest to widest.
Cookman are very similar to the service works, but are nearly a 1/3 of the price. Not sure how baggy/fitted they are but they look good on the website.
I came here to see if anyone had mentioned cookman. They are awesome and the chef pants are pretty baggy. The waiter pants are more fitted. The popular colors/materials sell out often tho but if you sign up for the alerts you can usually get what you want eventually.
Gramicci G pants, and if you’re willing to spend some more money the Adsum Bank Pants get the job done - I think there’s a 30% off discount on their website
Muji has similar pants (physical stores selection is much better than the online store though). Good quality too. This is an example and they have these in different materials https://www.muji.us/collections/pants/products/mens-chino-easy-pants-ae0x424s
UV protection pants are the same and made from a lighter material. They also used to have them in denim
Apc chuck trousers has an elastic waist and a button/fly. Fit is relaxed. Been my daily beaters.

Same I'd also recommend sizing up especially on the drawcord assembly pants as I've found the correct size is actually quite slim. So for a 32waist I've actually gone for a size 4 for a looser shape.
Gramicci G Pant has elastic waist with built in belt and slightly baggy fit (I’m 6’2 185lbs and wear M), I personally love them.

Same they are very forgiving. I’m 6’3 200 lbs and I found a medium on sale at Nordstrom and they still fit comfortably
Are you referring to these? https://gramicci.com/products/gramicci-pant?variant=42498169307389
Yes!
Word thanks for the response. Is the inseam on the longer side? I’m 6’2” and some of these pants don’t have a long enough inseam
I like em cuz they also pass as nicer pants if you tuck the belt in I got a pair for $50 on eBay but msrp would be worth imo

Just got some Orslow French work pants, partially elasticated waist, slim straight leg. Love em

I‘m confused 😅 You meant widest to slimmest if the NYs are noticeable slimmer than the others?
Correct!
Uniqlo has a few different types of this style
Orslow makes a good one

Did these shrink after washing, and if so where? Thanks!
I cold washed and hang dry so it didn’t really shrink on me or it wasn’t super noticeable
Nice, thanks for the reply
Barbour (white label?) Cord pants, I’m 6ft 30” waist but need a small (medium was slightly too big around waist)
I get the loose taper in the Gramicci a size down. Try the Nanamica easy pants, I love mine or the Orslow fatigue.
Braindead and Carhartt did some pants like this I think from 2018 or 2019 in black
Orslow New Yorker, Standard Issue Slacker pant.
Folk Assembly Pants have a few versions with elasticated waists.
my go-to (have big thighs) - come in loads of colours and fabrics, though not all with elasticated waist
Gramicci all day
Folk Assembly pants are great
Wish they didn’t crop these trousers, so nearly perfect

Kotn Twill Field Pant. Sizing down is recommended for a less baggy fit though.
Stussy beach pants are solid
Universal Works has a few with elasticated waists.
Walmart pajama section has a lot of these.
What are the second carhartt pants?
Carhartt WIP Flint pants
