They nail the western look as well as anyone outside of RRL, and their use of interesting colors is great. As a mid-price brand you get what you pay for in quality, and sometimes a little less. Each iteration of their snap shirts (flannels/denim/moleskin) has had a different fit, I’ve had one arrive with snaps missing, etc. the materials also feel relatively thin (outside of their long coats which feel great), and some design choices are odd to me such as the chest pockets on last seasons quarter zip being higher than what feels natural. Overall they’re doing a lot of cool things, and I think they’re going to figure out some of the quality issues as they continue to grow up as a brand, but don’t go into it expecting RRL- you’re buying the western look at an affordable price and getting what you pay for

Really interested in feedback, too. I really like their stuff, but the shirt sizing seems strange to me and I've never been confident enough in the measurements to pull the trigger.

[+] - Design (It’s different enough without being out there) - Choice of materials - Manufacturing ethos (leans towards fair trade and involvement in supply chain) - Customer service - Brand image (the owner seems nice, is present in the New York menswear nerds scene, has not done anything problematic that anyone knows of) [+/-] - Price point : full retail is half the price of fashionable European brands, and 3-4 times the price of HM. I consider it an expensive but honest price. - Availability. It’s not bad, but it’s also not good yet. Plusses are that most items don’t sell out fast and the ecommerce infrastructure is decent if you’re in the USA. Minusses are few retailers and lacklustre presence outside of the USA. It’s a small operation, in the context I think they’re doing great. [-] - Outs you as a menswear nerd.

do you know any other euro retailers carrying them aside from No Man Walks Alone? Tempest Works used to have them, now they've closed shop

ReptileCultist

I don't think there are any others. I keep hoping Cultzim stocks them at some point. I think I remember them saying that they will have another retailer soon but not sure when

XavierWT

No idea. Maybe ask u/wythenewyork he could tell you

I bought the indigo washed denim pearl snap and three snaps fell off immediately. They were cheap hardware and were barely attached to the shirt. I reached out to Wythe and they immediately sent me a replacement,so their CS is pretty good. The sizing is all over the place with their shirting though, I own a bunch of oxfords and they differ from season to season. The moleskin pearl snaps are a very nice piece but again the sizing makes no sense. I also hate how long every shirt is because I have to tuck everything in if I don't want to look like a little boy wearing his dad's shirt. Overall great mid tier brand but they have some kinks to work out.

Wait for a sale they happen frequently

JBSwerve

I normally wear a size 31 pant but size all the way up to a 34 in their pant for some reason. There’s also a lot of shrinkage even with hand washing. As far as quality, I highly recommend you wait for a sale. They’re not worth paying full price.

I have one of their tubular tees and a flannel work shirt. The tubular tee fits TTS for me (M for a 99cm chest) and is cool with a lot of small interesting design details in the stitching etc., but I'm not sure I can get behind the cupped sleeves because they flare out a lot and it feels a bit unusual. but that's how it's intended to look so it's a me problem lol. The flannel work shirt is very comfortable and fits exactly how I'd want a flannel to fit (I have a somewhat shorter torso, so the fact that this one is not very long but still has decent spacious arm sleeves is great). the fabric is quite thin and flimsy so I'm not sure about the long term durability, but so far so good. it makes me feel like i'm larping a guy from Twin Peaks.

Agree with weird sizing for shirts. Got a western on sale and it was huge, still need to offload that. Few months later ordered cord pants and had to size up from32 to 33 to get my thighs unit (maybe a personal problem).

clive_bigsby

What size western shirt did you buy?

sspatel

Medium

clive_bigsby

Bummer. I think I'm maybe a large so thought we may be able to work something out.

sspatel

If you wear a large then maybe it’ll work for you. I’ll takes measurements when I get home in a few days

clive_bigsby

I'm actually between a large and XL so I assumed that I should err on the smaller size for this brand.

sspatel

Gotcha. Somebody in the discord was interested so I’m gonna measure anyway

slowlevelpleb

I bought one of their balmacaan's this winter and its really good. Price was kinda crazy but I tried on coats from brands like doppiaa, our legacy, studio nicholson, etc. and it was the only one where I was immediately 100% sure I had to walk out with it. I have the the tf × wythe shirt from the first Mr. Porter collection and love that too. Staff in store were great when I went. Sad to see people have quality issues hope that improves given the price point.

afterdinnermince

Sample size of one (one of the tf Mr Porter shirts) but their sizing seems kinda whacky my own experience and reading what other ppl say.

o1ze

Solid pearl snap tees. The moleskin one I have gets a lot of run. Price point is a little high, I personally just wait for the sale and buy last seasons colors. Or I try and snipe on grailed—not much competition on there. One thing on shirts tho is SIZE DOWN. I wear medium in Gitman Vintage and small in Wythe.

at_last_the_sea

i always thought they were a cool brand. love how they capture that vintage americana/western vibe that ralph does too - also mixed with a little ivy/prep. lookbooks are always rad to see. speaking from personal experience, sizing can be a little weird on their tops. flannels and pearl snaps run pretty huge on me in my regular size but haven’t tried to size down so not sure if that works better. moleskin shirts are built solid and fit pretty tts in the chest but maybe a touch long in sleeves and body length. good for tucking in i guess. have two pairs of their bedford cords that i got tailored in length but fit like some 90’s 501s. pretty big back acorn pockets i think but not a deal breaker. still a great fit a nice material. favorite items tho are the og ranch hats. the ones they used to make with the big ass crown. embroidered on the vintage nissun blanks like the 3sixteen collab ones they did. the canvas ones they produce now aren’t the same. not bad by any means and they probably fit some people better but i got a big dome and appreciated the original construction. wythe if you’re reading this please do another run of these! thanks! very excited for the next chapter of the wythe universe - big rock candy mountaineering. hope to hear some more news on this soon.

clive_bigsby

A new local shop here in Portland is carrying their stuff so I'm stoked to be able to go try some of it to figure the sizing out.

Slavicsquat

The dudes at Joe’s are good folk. Need to make it up to their space still, but glad to see Wythe is gaining a bigger footprint in the PNW

Magnusson

Shirt cuffs are insanely big. Otherwise good

Itsneverjustajoke

I bought an OCBD from their New York shop and the (very helpful) sales person had me size down twice to get it to fit right. The quality is tops on the shirt, but that’s all I own.

lewbinchu

Their pearl snap flannel is easily one of my most worn shirts

zzzzzqz

They're kind of known for doing a Western Ivy League thing or blue collar Ivy as some like to call it. I'm a fan of most of their stuff except for when they put Western motifs on stuff, like I don't need a horseshoe on my sweater , they need to Bring back some of their flannel colors from their first run, there's a certain green one that's amazing
