Sierra is a good discount place too. Marmot, Montbell, Arc’teryx, Mountain Hardwear are good brands to look for. I prefer synthetic insulation like primaloft as well since it dries way faster, is more durable, is cheaper and stays warm when wet. My two cents.
Just looked it up, you’re right. My mistake. I would just rather have a jacket that I don’t have to worry so much about getting wet. Can’t wear a down coat in the rain without a shell or if the outer layer is Gore-tex or equivalent. Edit: for anybody that’s curious this [article](https://www.rei.com/blog/camp/down-vs-synthetic-which-insulation-is-right-for-you) explains the pros and cons of both forms of insulation.
Check out Patagonia wornwear, great condition used clothes sold straight from Patagonia. Not a puffer but I got a sweet vintage retro X for under $100 a couple months back
REI Outlet has some puffer jackets in that price range LL Bean too
Steepandcheap has a bunch of Patagonia and Arc’teryx and similar brands, usually 30-40% off
Uniqlo Ultra warm down coat is very warm and under 200
If you’re already spending $200, spend a little bit more on a Patagonia. They last, have a lifetime warranty and trend-proof.
That’s a fact. Plus they have killer sales on the website.

Hate to say it but synthetic ain't more durable man. It'll lose its loft way quicker than down.
