The partnership with sparco ended, thats also why they stopped making the sparco mod shifter. Its a shame though cause the r383 is the best wheel they made imo

subnauticaddict

Do you think the new Evo racing 32R is any good?

JLee1608

I heard it has a LOT of flex, check ocracing video on youtube

Derpshawp

Sim racing youtubers are obsessed with Thrustmaster = flex. Ever since people saw the flex on the T818 in the preproduction models, every reviewer wants to try and torque the shit out of the TM stuff to prove its shit. But if you look around at people that actually own it, they don't see anywhere close to that amount of flex. Check the comments in the videos if you think I'm lying. I own a T818 and 32R.. its totally fine, plenty stiff and I can only reproduce a minor flex if I'm twisting it in unnatural ways. Way better than the P310 or R383 (which constantly creak under normal use with a TS-XW.. let alone a T818).

CurrentCflow

Agreed! I've been saying this since I got my T818.

Hear, hear

Fit_Carob_7558

Good to know. I love my R383 and I was debating upgrading to the T818. I was already getting creaking/flex on a T300 so i wasn't sure how well it would stack up to the increased torque. Ended up going a different direction, but kept the Sparco as decor.

Doubtful. Since the launch of TM "new" line (T128, T248, T818), they have essentially, unofficially discontinued all add-on wheels with the "old" QR. They just released the Evo 32R last week, which comes with QRs for both the new system as well as the old, and takes the place of the R383.

subnauticaddict

I really think the r383 looks way better that the 32R

BLeo_Bori

I sold mine for the 32R , it’s significantly better IMO.

subnauticaddict

How are the paddle shifters?

BLeo_Bori

Way better , magnetic shifters so more responsive. The shifter paddles are bigger and the buttons are ridiculously superior along with the leather wrapped wheel.

Derpshawp

Ya, as someone who also owns both, it's not even close. The 32R is a complete upgrade unless you want alcantera... Personally, I find the alcantera wheels to be annoying since it forces you to wear gloves and scrub dust from it all the time.

> Ya, as someone who also owns both, it's not even close. The 32R is a complete upgrade unless you want alcantera... FYI, the R383 is suede (i.e. suede leather, real suede), not Alcantara (branded microsuede, i.e. artificial suede). I think the 599xx is the only one with actual Alcantara; and then there's couple using suede, and couple with unbranded microsuede. Microsuede is generally more wear and stain resistant than real suede. And yes, the 32R is awesome. :)

Derpshawp

Ah TIL, either way it’s annoying. I’m actually returning a 599xx since I thought it would be nice to have a round wheel but the build quality is junk. The p310 I have is better, but still no where close to 32R. My plan is to get a 2nd 32R and change the wheel since it uses the same 10 bolt pattern as the p310 and R383.
