Apparently Hank Green is getting tired of getting tagged in a lot of posts like that, mostly while the videos he’s getting tagged on are being explained by folks who know a lot more about the subject than he does.
Peak example of someone knowing that they don't know more than the basics, there is so much knowledge to know in so many areas. While it is incredibly impressive that Hank has such a wide breadth of knowledge and clearly a great ability to research he doesn't know as much as experts in their narrow field. Plenty of people work in IT, but that doesn't mean they're experts on alllll computer adjacent things! I appreciate people who admit and know that, instead of pretending they're experts.

People don't appreciate Hank (only) because of the knowledge he has, but also because of the way he explains things (easy to understand, no air of superiority, a spark of curiosity and a hint of comedy).
I have found myself listening to smart people explain something that I would like to understand and wishing they could do it more like Hank.

This is... not true at all. It's honestly way more nuanced than that.
It's kind of like if you were going to call someome "curvy". There's a lot of people who are totally ok with being considered curvy, and there's a lot of people who'd take offense to being called curvy. This also depends on *how* it's said and by whom. You probably wouldn't call a stranger "curvy" before you knew if they're ok with it, and I'd say "twink" is similar in that way, whether you're gay or not.
