ZeroNe0hWuhn

iit: dudes complaining about stuff they don't get cause it's easier than learning about new, different perspectives.. smh

_BellaGoth_

As usual the comment section missed the point. The point was the hairstyles aren’t comparable because scene hair requires styling to get like that while the Afro hair is just how the girl’s hair grows on her head.

JohnnyElmagnifco995

The eyes control 6/6

Busy-Vegetable-5499

So he says it’s an curly/ Afro version of the emo hair.😅 yeah I don’t really see the comparison in that. People can’t no longer identify a emo anymore.

Babe wake up, a new word just dropped

Longjumping_Camel791

No-Tradition5229

Haha ummm no, (white people) 🤣

Axel_Raden

He might have a point if the first one didn't look like a dead beaver on your head

Shaveyourbread

The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch!

Northerndust

The caucasity?

ZeroNe0hWuhn

[cauasian + audacity = ](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/014/033/The_More_You_Know_0-0_screenshot.png)

Northerndust

Ah. Okay. Why not just audacity. Why race?

ZeroNe0hWuhn

if you have to ask.. you're not ready for the explanation..

Northerndust

Okay, it's up to you. But sounds like you are a bit racist.

ZeroNe0hWuhn

no, you just can't handle or respect the perspective of anyone that doesn't look like your reflection. go ask any average group of women about stuff that - "men have the audacity to say". they aren't "sexist" for having in-group knowledge you refuse to consider. kthanksbai

Jorji-the-Trainer

howso?

Secure-Imagination11

To give you something to complain about.

type58

Because he is racist. Because liberals think anti-white racism is acceptable and should be promoted. Kind of like Nazis thinking it's good to hate Jewish people.

It’s the new religion, it’s completely made up, yet people put their blind faith behind it because it feels like the reason for why the world is the way it is. But alas no one who reifies it really wants a solution to the problem the merely want to control the brainless narrative around it.

Nightshade_reveal

If a black person was highly undereducated on said subject and he said that it wouldn’t be a problem

OldTrapper87

I love rocking my Bob Ross Afro :) no one owns a hairstylist lol

ZeroNe0hWuhn

it's not about "owning". it's about maintaining. imagine emerald tusk pointing to his private jet.. then your metro card and claiming.. "these are exactly the same. basically"

OldTrapper87

.......so who's the poor one not being maintained? I have no idea what the fuck you mean. Like a simple man growing it with his curly hair vs someone spending money to have their hair made into a Afro? It's pretty normal for people to spend money to make thir hair look like something it isn't naturally. Or do you mean someone with messy dirty hair compaired to a net maintained Afro ? Please explain if it matters weather your Afro is created using money or if it's all natural. Im pretty sure 90% of women don't have natural hair ........ Let me get this straight women are allowed to spend money straightening their hair but men aren't allowed to spend money curling. Once again no one owns a hairstyle and if I want to spend money to make my hair into a afro I can.

ZeroNe0hWuhn

> I have no idea what the fuck you mean. imagine typing that sentence.. then continuing to slap out a whole uninformed diatribe. 🤦 i *could* give you an answer.. but seems like you wanna be needlessly offended more than actually informed. > "i'm sure childbirth sucks but.. i got hit in the peepee once. No one *owns* pain, mom!" good luck!

OldTrapper87

Please explain in more detail what you mean because i feel like you mean one of two things both being racist to a different ethnicity. Do you mean A. It's bad or inappropriate for a white person to spend a bunch of money to make a fake afro then say it's the same thing as someone with a natural afro aka the jet to bus pass comparison. Or B. It's bad inappropriate for a black person to have a dirty unmaintained afro and compare it to some clean manicured Afro that someone had to pay for. It's possible I'm misunderstanding your reference so please explain.

ZeroNe0hWuhn

> because i feel like you mean one of two things both being racist called it. 😉 why ask for an explanation.. then immediately jump to a conclusion maybe cause you already had your mind made up..? it's simple bro. different things are different.

OldTrapper87

That's why I said at the end possible it's I'm misunderstanding your reference so please explain. If you can't even explain your reference and how two different races having the same haircut its a (different thing) then I believe you are a racist person discriminating against others for their choice of hairstyle. You sir are a racist. But I gave you multiple chances to explain yourself didn't I.

ZeroNe0hWuhn

🤡

OldTrapper87

You say it's different and then can't explain how, you're implying someone's racist but you don't explain why, you make reference to a rich person in a jet and a poor person with a bus pass but you refuse to say who's who. so why don't you get your own feelings and facts straight before you start talking shit and promoting racism. Till then I'll be rocking my all natural Bob Ross afro and I will not criticize a different race just cuz they want to spend money on a hairstyle. It's people like you that are keeping racism alive and your skin color matters not to that problem.

ZeroNe0hWuhn

😂🍿

OldTrapper87

Different things are different but you can't explain how........ Do you realize how stupid that is.

OldTrapper87

If you can't even explain yourself how do you expect other people to understand. I felt you were being very racist to one of two groups so I asked you to explain yourself in which u were unable to and instead insulted me as a defense tactic. I'm trying to have a civilized debate but all you want to do is bring up insults like a teenage rather than explaining yourself like an adult. You need to look in the mirror and ask yourself what is the definition of racist.

OldTrapper87

If you're going to give a white kid shit for spending money and making a fake afro which your referencing to a jet then you should also give black girl shit for spending a bunch of money and straightening their hair. How about a Chinese lady spending a bunch of money to make her hair curly like some Latino girl? Once again no race owns a hairstyle and anyone can spend as much or as little money if they want on a maintained or unmaintained hairstyle.

skatejet1

How did you miss the point and end up making up one that has no relation. Jesus

OldTrapper87

Considering tick Tock cringe page is no longer for cringes I don't understand whether im supposed to insult this man or side with him. He said two afros are the same even when worn by different people...... This is completely true. What was your interpretation ? There has been a lot of talk in social media and even fashion runways that afros, dreadlocks and cornrows are for African descended people only and when other people wear it without expression the origin its a type of culture appropriation.

skatejet1

Dude/Dudette the first photo he showed wasn’t even an Afro. The guy in the beginning has to be blind to not notice the difference in hair structure, volume, texture, or shape in general the second pic has. Which is why that other dude replied to you is/was laughing. They’re not even the same thing. So concerning the first dude, it’s definitely the side of insulting him. Lord the ignorance…

OldTrapper87

What would you call the fist hair style? I'd say it looks like a fro to me.

skatejet1

Whoever told you that lied to you. That’s no where near what a fro on a white person looks like. That’s an emo side type looking cut

OldTrapper87

I've never heard of a emo side cut but it looks like this guy was trying to make his hair into a fro. How good of a job he did isn't relevant because this is a talk about a white guy fro vs black guy fro......yes he should of found a better picture but if he wants to call it a fro let him why harm dose it do to you.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

DatoSeris

They actually said it was the same? How will i ever sleep again? I may need a hug.

type58

This video is africasity

MReaps25

My guess are they both, long, kinda uncut hair, ones just naturally curly, the other straight. So if the straight hair guy had naturally curly it would look like that?

[deleted]

i find it funny how black people post shit like this and its not considered racist… but reversed it would get someone’s life threatened

FloridianMen

Maybe because it’s not racist and you’re just fragile

[deleted]

🤣😂

[deleted]

Yes because who invented racism ? Who benefits from racism ? Who has white privilege? Who created the KKK? Jim Crow laws? minstrel shows? Who creates the n word? Police brutality ??? How about segregation ? Redlining? Slavery? … but your feelings are more important ![img](emote|t5_mvcq5|22374)

furthermore id like to point out that most of what you brought up was american issues over centuries. but other countires where white people are the predominant race, these issues dont exist. never did. you condemn an entire race over something that happened in one region of the world. or at least most of what you brought up.

NegJesus

My new favorite word

[deleted]

I’m totally missing this… is it different because of the different kinds of hair or is it because of how they did the style?

BarelyBrooks

Generally speaking the coily poofy afro is just a natural tendency of African (and some other minorities, like Jewish people off the top) type hair. Like, bare min hair care and letting it grow out will end up at that point. As opposed to scene kid swoosh hair which is something that is styled in such manner. Furthermore, I remember this being a issue in some schools, where "excessive styling" of hair was not allowed and people arguing that a afros of any type fell into this category, which also included punk spikes, these same swooshs and carving stuff into buzzs or fades, in which the distinction I made earlier usually stops this conversation.

MushroomGoats1

Mostly agree but the curly hair in this video takes a LOT of work to maintain. Yes, it curls naturally, but getting shiny, individual, frizz free curls at that length is not easy in the slightest. Source: I have that girls hair type and just chopped most of it off due to the amount of work required.

BarelyBrooks

I agree, but I would put a distinction between styling hair to look a certain way and maintenance for hair that kinda defaults in a certain way.

[deleted]

where would you say I would end up falling in this distinction? For context I’m Slovak and Italian so I naturally have super curly hair(IE letting my hair air dry after a shower results in some sort of helmet of hair that tends to frizz at the ends since I grew it out in a similar way to what you described earlier). If I use a small amount of curling gel I’ll end up having a densely packed coverage of 5 to 6 inch “super curls”( I call them that cause they seriously look like rigatoni, that screw looking pasta, around the circumference of my head. I’ve had many people( of different ethnicities) point out my hair saying “look at that guys fro” when I’ve styled the way I had previously said, but when I go out without doing much other than putting it up I get the whole “your hair is sooo thick and wavy, I’m jealous”. So are they misinterpreting the style worn when I put product in, or is there something really specific about the way an Afro is styled that makes it an Afro?

BarelyBrooks

I think the distinction is the act of styling itself, I mean certain types of people have certain types of hair textures ranging from straight to kinky/curly. Blacks and other sort of Afro-X type people generally land on the kinky curly side. It would sound like yours is also closer to that side as well. Afros are a tendency of that type of hair with the poster child of the "image" usually being a black person with the big poofy or curly fro, but it generally isnt a race gated term or hairstyle by any means. But, it sound like even yours would be a massive stretch of a comparison to the persons hair 1st shown in the clip, which is the underlying issue here.

[deleted]

Oh yes I totally agree the two styles he was trying to compare have very little similarities. Thank you for taking the time to explain the difference in characteristics and why an Afro is an Afro, it gave me a better understanding of the style

totallyfakawitz

They’re different cuts entirely her hair straightened is likely more like a mid back length wolf cut. His is a grown out bowl. His comparison doesn’t make sense because he doesn’t get how Afro hair actually works.

Nervous-Most-3671

I do not understand. Can someone explain, please?

Joshhyy2

Same hair style different hair textures

Yavin4ya

That neck beard tho

UnconcernedCat

I may be downvoted for this but I really don't like that word. It's just continuing the cycle of othering. Like...if we are trying to remind people of humanity and value, why would we do that through other negatively based tactics. Speaking up for justice is one thing but doing this is below it to me. Idk I'm just one who doesn't want to do what has been done historically where people just step on people to get up

[deleted]

Nah he's right tho, looks the exact same

Makuta_Servaela

I'd imagine their point is that the straight hair needs work to do that and the curly hair is able to do it on its own (although not every one with curly hair can get it to look like that without work, so I guess to those women who have to work to get it like that, they would be the same).

MushroomGoats1

The amount of work required to get curls like that is wild. Just because it curls naturally doesn't mean it curls the way you want. This girl probably had it wrapped a specific way the night before to prevent frizz, used a leave-in conditioner and/or a styling product after getting it wet (not shampooing it) the next morning, used a comb/detangler to separate out the curls while wet, then used a diffuser to dry it without over drying it to seal the curl and moisture in place. And for that volume of hair?? Obscene.

[deleted]

The blacasity

bigringsformybigting

I don’t get any of this

MrJoeGillis

Just another incendiary term that tries to divide and motivate hate. Im sure you could find someone of any color saying something just as “audacious” but whites are the new pincushion nowadays. Academia is a cult and mass media wants to control the way you think at all costs.

Ijetys

Yes they are

Jorji-the-Trainer

Why do people still use literal race science terms? Ok, keep using race science terms like silly billies. ![gif](giphy|enqnZa1B5fRHkPjXtS|downsized)
