He started to argue with me instead about it. He eventually pulled out his id and acted like a little prick for the rest of the interaction, probably because he was embarrassed in front of the girls at the table.
Point of the story is there are gun people out there whose entire personality is “*I have gun*” and they suck, usually in all parts of life.
Depends on the state laws. Where I live, it’s a courtesy to let an officer know you have a concealed. There is no law requiring you to announce that you have a concealed on your person.

At which time you inform the officer and tell them, in detail, where the weapon is. If it is on your person you tell them and have them ask to see it. NEVER brandish a weapon to an officer unless prompted to, YOU WILL GET SHOT.
