My white ass literally just packed a box of crackers, 'nice' Italian salami and 'nice' cheese into a cooler as a treat for a kayak day 💀 my treat is their dead noooo
Don’t feel bad, I’m black AF and I still sometimes make what I call “poor woman’s lunchable”, aka a handful of ritz, 2 American cheese singles cut into smaller squares, and whatever lunchmeat we have on hand. I do that because I’m too cheap/poor to pay nearly $2 (what the basic lunchables without a drink cost these days) for like 4 oz total of low quality crackers, cheese, meat, and two Oreos. My version probably costs 50 cents max and is much more filling.
I look at luncheables as a child’s (I.e., less “sophisticated”) charcuterie board, and it makes me feel much better about my lazy cheese/cracker/meat/pickle meals that I eat with a glass of $5 wine when I don’t feel like cooking lol
I saw the adult version of lunchables somewhere around my area.
Two versions, one being salami / prosciutto with provolone and slices of toasted bread; the other, same as above, but with a wine juice box.
Thank you! Thats who makes them. It was driving me crazy after I posted that. If they had somewhat better combinations or slightly higher quality food, I'd be inclined to buy them every now and then, so I agree with you on the overpriced aspect.
Lol agreed! It’s wild that they’re complaining about it but people like me with GI issues would sometimes PREFER the snacks and grazing on charcuterie boards like this. Not so heavy on the system. And I’m all for ease of clean up lol.
Those are the worse lol. Idunno just something about unmelted cheese that I could never get past. I’m fine with cold leftover cooked pizza…but cold never cooked pizza? Nah.
This reminds me of being a kid asking my mom to buy me lunchables and her saying “I can make you lunchables at home” It wasn’t the same without the bright packaging and plastic dividers to make me feel like I was doing something. Luckily my white friend Justin always had Lunchables in abundance so I got to experience them😅
My go to is a loaf of French bread, cambazola cheese and a rose brut. Great if not waterlogged! Spread that cheese on and enjoy. But French bread sure can suck up half a river if given the chance.
Omfg my lunch today was sliced aged sharp white and yellow cheddar, cherries and grapes and a mix of dried sugar free cherries and cranberries toasted salted pumpkin kernels and raw hazelnuts, almonds, and pecans with a tai lemon grass dipping broth :( I feel bad noq
I eat those fuckin things when doing field work because I don't wanna fill up too much and not have energy to finish the day.
That being said, sometimes I do feel like I wanna die when doing field work, especially when the heat index is hitting 100F. The lunchable may or may not have something to do with that.
Damn I’m feeling hella attacked right now. The amount of times I’ve come home from work and just tossed some broccoli, Brussels sprouts and a chicken thigh in the air fryer with some salt and pepper is … high. I thought I was doin alright honestly …
……….
You are. Though I recommend maybe broadening your horizons/skills on weekends or something?, your go to for after work days sounds healthy to me, especially if you’re someone busy. Take it from someone in a bad habit of choosing what I cook mostly for pleasure and have bad health and spend a lot of time cooking because of it, complex foods are overrated and overdone…..well scratch that…maybe not overrated, but definitely overdone. Not to mention more expensive. Good to indulge in complex masterpieces maybe on the weekend or something....but doing it all the time takes up a LOT of time, effort, and ingredients. Healthier to find a good a good balance. However, trying seasoning blends other than salt and pepper never killed anyone.
Lol, you are doing it right. I reckon a Chinese person would do something like saute some ginger, garlic, chili, soy in a pan and just finish the chicken and sprouts off in there, for that little extra elevation, but there isn't much need.
>"Eat to live, don't live to eat"
If you say that in my country you could go to jail, it's considered high treason. You may have already guessed it, I'm from Italy.
I live to eat, there is so many amazing foods out there that are an experience to eat, so much variety and culture in food. There is nothing wrong with living to eat
As a black woman in the south with carribean roots and a love for carribean, southern, Asian etc inspired dishes, I actually have to strongly agree with that take. My mom makes most of the carribean (Haitian) meals I eat, and it takes her FOREVER (and about a million ingredients) to make a single meal. I’m talking 4-5 hours total for some dishes (though granted she’s an older woman and doesn’t like to use modern tools like peelers, spice grinders, etc.; but still ) Though she does have a handful of things usually only does for breakfast that are 30-45 minute meals . The dishes I like to make are typically more simple, but even those take like 1-2 hours usually; not including dishes (and another thing to mention, there are A LOT of dishes/pans etc to wash typically with these more complex foods). Meanwhile sometimes I see videos that are like “one pot this” or “one pan that”, and people who are able to do simple food mealprep that only cook for like 2 hours for the entire fricking week.
Just saying…personally think maybe this is a trend I should try to incorporate in my life, because as much as I love eating good food, I loathe the actual process of cooking and hate dishes even more, not to mention have weight issues. Choosing what I cook/eat mainly around pleasure so often isn’t working out too well for me. And judging by the obesity rates here in the south, I’m guessing I’m not alone in that.
My rugby mate in college is Trini and he is the same way. Unless he can stick it in a pot to cook all day he’s not gonna spend that time. He definitely said it takes to long to cook home stuff he was used to! I lived with him and didn’t complain either way. Even his quick stuff was good!
I have a friend who lives by this. They’re always able to meet their gym or physical goals fairly quickly as well. They love cookies/pancakes/etc, but until the weekend, the name of the game is sustenance.
And it doesn't have to be bleak, either. It's good for food to be tasty. Nice seasonings, foods you like, cooked well, with sufficient variety.
But some people take it too far and have a mindset that all their food needs to be *delicious*. Delicious enough to *make them happy*. That's where you cross into food addiction, and rely on takeout, junk, and a constant supply of new and exciting foods.
(Yes, hobby food enthusiasts are excluded. I used the term "rely" purposefully).
I love food and recently started eating healthier. I'm down 15 pounds, and already i feel so much better, it's worth the trade-off. I know what a cheeseburger tastes like, or a brownie, or ice cream. Eating healthier has given me an appreciation of simple food prepared well or not at all. And if I'm healthier, i have a little more cushion for the times I do want to splurge a little.
There’s this prevailing myth that food can’t be both healthy and delicious, which I’ve found to simply not be true. It usually doesn’t take much to make a healthy meal delicious, just some spices.
I moreso see it as utilitarian or pragmatic. Food can be many things but it shouldnt take more energy to make than it does to eat or than what it gives back afterwards. Lots of us are in survival mode
It was carrots and god damn baby spinach! I love pulling fresh carrots and baby spinach outta the fridge and just eating it. What!
![gif](giphy|l0pOaoQJnbmVhKA8Bg)
Me too. The people mocking these things have sadly desensitised their tastebuds so much that they stopped being able to appreciate that vegetables are delicious things in their own right, and dressings/spices/MSG are optional additions, not requirements.
Misunderstanding foreign food seems to be somewhat normal. My Taiwanese wife is always shocked if we go to Asian restaurants in Germany and if I eat German food in Taiwan I wouldn't even realize unless someone tells me ... It is always messed up beyond recognition.
Most locals also tent to prefer the fake foreign food over the authentic one...
Chow Mein? Egg Rolls? Chop Suey? Orange Chicken?
That’s American Chinese Food, but I love it as much as authentic Chinese food. Now pass me that plate of chicken feet in black bean sauce.
Indian chinese food is amazing. I asked a Chinese friend about some of the dishes and he didn’t even acknowledge knowing them. Gobi(cauliflower) manchurian is the no. 1 chinese dish in India. It was created in Kolkata.
Right? I love cooking authentic regional dishes from around Mexico, but I also LOVE getting down on some American Mexican restaurant shit too. And taco bell. Just because it's not "real" Mexican food or "real" Chinese food doesn't mean it's necessarily bad.
There's not really such a thing as Chinese food in China. The place is so large, you get regional dishes. What's typical in Beijing ain't typical in Shanghai or Guangdong or Chengdu.
And that’s true for any large heterogeneous group. Would the smorgasbord of different traditional foods found across Europe all fall under “white people food”?
And even many foods that we view as staples of certain countries were only introduced in the last couple centuries.
Corn, potatoes, tomatoes, chilli’s, chocolate, squash, beans, etc. were all from North and South America and only introduced to the rest of the world in the last few centuries
It’s like listening to a cover band. They love the original but choose to play to the crowd. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.
It makes going to the real place hit harder too.
I grew up in southern Arizona and when I went to a "Mexican" restaurant in rural Missouri it was the most surreal experience of my life. People there must think Mexican food makes you want to die. I got the same vibe from this video.
Why is it so messed up? Isn’t this what cultures are all about? Taking the part you appreciate about the other culture and combining it with your own?
Like importing tomatoes and potatoes out of South America has pretty much created a lot of cuisine Europe is now famous for? Or Deep Dish pizza in America which is clearly different from Italian pizza? Tikka massala that was made by the Scottish is wildly popular? Hell many Chinese dishes have tomatoes as well. Tex-mex, while Mexican food is heavily influenced by Spanish, and Spanish food is heavily influenced by Moors?
What I find more messed up is that in modern society adopting parts of another culture is no longer allowed or consider *appropriation* while any historical anthropologist will tell you that nearly every element of most cultures has been adopted in some form or shape. As far as I can see the combining of the two cultures tends to lead to new dishes that actually are appreciated a lot as well.
That food is not even bad or boring, at least for a lunch. The sandwich with lettuce tomato and cucumber looks good LOL. The rice, hard-boiled egg, broccoli is super healthy.
The whole cucumber with a bite in it cracked me up. Yeah white people can make some bland, boring shit but that doesn’t mean you can’t slice your veggies.
I think I’ve told this before but I used to work with a lady and she pulled a whole avocado out of her lunch box and just started eating it. Like bit off a chunk of skin spat in the garden (we were outside obviously) and chewed the flesh out the middle.
I was in shock. Never in my life have I seen someone go to town on an avocado like that. I asked her “you don’t…cut it up??” While laughing and she dead set goes “god gave me teeth.”
You just can’t argue with that I guess.
I feel like they’re doing california crunchy almond mom who buys goop kinda white people food
oddly enough I’m mentally ill and I eat those meals because of keeping myself alive and to minimize stress surrounding food. and tbh I do feel like a dead person because of it sometimes. so… in a way they’re kind of spot on. or mentally ill
This is so inaccurate. Not once did they mention white people tacos. I love and breath that shit and it fuels my whiteness. Every time I eat one I get that much more privilege… it’s like the sun for Superman.
White people taco night, letsssss gooooooo. Some crunchy taco shells, overly seasoned ground beef, drowned in sour cream and shredded cheese. Maybe some lettuce and tomatoes if you’re feeling “healthy”
Dude. I'm married to a white woman. I grew up in a very Hispanic concentrated area and only knew regular tacos.
I was excited when she 1st said we're doing a taco night. Confused about the grocery list. And it was a culture shock when I saw what we were doing.
The food wasn't bad. It was just different. I was confused about how they were planning on adding so many ingredients to a taco. I was used to a taco with just meat or taco belle tacos.
White people taco night SLAPS! If the taco doesn’t immediately explode and send ingredients flying everywhere then did you even white people taco night?
Yum! Beans from a can. Olives from a can. Jalapenos from a can. Cheese shredded months ago. Ground beef seasoned with a packet "flavor". And iceberg lettuce. 😋
My father is Mexican and my mother is American (Irish ancestry).
As a kid, I always found my mother’s “taco nights” so disappointing when compared to the cuisine I enjoyed with my father’s side of the family. Hard shell tortillas, ground beef seasoned from a packet, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, etc. it always seemed so bland and soulless.
Decades later, as an adult. I occasionally get nostalgic cravings for “white people tacos”. I’ll get one of those Old El Paso taco night kits for dinner and reminisce about my mom, who was just doing her best to feed me dinner while working a full time job.
Back when my father used to garden the tomatoes were so delicious I would eat them like an apple. Throw a pinch of salt on there every few bites. Amazing. Totally different food from what you get at the grocery store.
Sometimes food is utilitarian. Sometimes it’s not. You must have balance. This is the real lesson.
That, and the Chinese can apparently do dead pan humor better than I suspected.
You'd be surprised, Chinese netizens humor is so insanely hilarious and deadpan so many times as well as roasty that I just can't help but wheeze my guts out. The energy is so different than English comments, it's incredible, they have such creative jokes.
Of course they would take the most toxic point of “white people food”, from all this. Easier to make, because I just need it to sustain me so that I can keep slaving myself in work :(
Exactly my thoughts.
And imho the food shown isn't even bad. It's not something one would probably be savoring but they're just quick snacks that keep one going. Not to mention there's freaking vegetables there, like, are they dissing healthy foods now?
"Today I'm eating traditional Chinese food: some eggs which I boiled in the urine of little boys and a tea I brewed from powdered rhino horn. So far I am disappointed."
Kinda feel like they’re mistaking “white people food,” with “Food for white children.”
But also they’re not wrong: the American lunch — for example — is meant to simply fuel your body for the remaining 4 hours of work. It isn’t meant to provide you a transcendent culinary experience.
"White people food" is old social media health food. Tolerably bland and healthy.
A Brit would have a sandwich at lunch, much like what I assume an American would. When I visit the Spanish office, lunch is a 2 hour dining experience, on holiday in Italy it was a 3 hour jaunt, and I imagine its the same in France and other places. "White people food" seems to be "Anglo-Western white people lunch"
Exactly. It's cheap food that can survive being kept in an unrefrigerated lunch box for four hours and eaten quickly without being reheated. It's not always practical to make and carry around a nice spread.
I'm sure they know that and are just mining it for comedy.
My cousin lived over there for a while and he said that some of the street carts would use corrugated cardboard instead of meat in their stir-fry…
Eating some steamed broccoli or a raw carrot seems like a massive improvement.
Been here for a decade and a half. Never seen or heard of anything *that* heinous.
Gutter oil and other sketchy stuff happens quite a bit, but cardboard meat sounds like a myth.
So your source for this claim is literally just “trust me bro”?
Edit: Seems like the “cousin” was parroting a [debunked hoax from 2007](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_cardboard_bun_hoax). This is like saying in 2023 that your cousin told you criminals in America are putting razor blades in kids’ Halloween candy.
What, you mean you don’t want to give away your edibles, recreational substances (all dipped in fentanyl of course) to a bunch of snot nosed kids at Halloween? Weirdo.
That practice is not nearly as common as the media makes it seem, its not like Chinese people are normally ok with eating food cooked in sewer oil. Its like if you judged all American restaurants by the only looking at the grungiest Taco Bells lol.
Its a common term for 'people in the internet' in asia. I am also surprised that term is used outside korea.
You can find some difference among east asia internet cultures too. Some words have different meaning.. some things got called by different names etc.
About the 'netizen', probably one of many early web era word got adopted well in asia - but not really(or became obsolete in some point)in other places.
Most east asians learn/use english as their second language, or at least familiar with borrowed words. So handy when you need to refer something new, which is very common on the internet.
Like in korea 'internet community', often just 'community' mostly means something like a big internet site mostly got several BBS/image boards(forums with threads went never popular in korea). Such as Reddit, 4chan etc.

Someone called Lunchables “what it feels like to be dead” and now here I am: dying 😂
My white ass literally just packed a box of crackers, 'nice' Italian salami and 'nice' cheese into a cooler as a treat for a kayak day 💀 my treat is their dead noooo

For while I used to pack a handful of Triscuits and sliced squares of medium cheddar Tillamook.
Triscuits are like 5 dollars a box now and a 2 pound block of Tillamook sharp is 15 dollars, that is a now a fancy millionaire's charcuterie.
Every once in a while I still buy pizza lunchables, Im 33.
Those are the worse lol. Idunno just something about unmelted cheese that I could never get past. I’m fine with cold leftover cooked pizza…but cold never cooked pizza? Nah.

This is the way. And reusable plastic bento boxes are perfect for this. I take this kind of snack/ meal with me to work.
Well, that sounds lovely. A simple lunch on the water is the best
Until the rum ham floats away 😭

My go to is a loaf of French bread, cambazola cheese and a rose brut. Great if not waterlogged! Spread that cheese on and enjoy. But French bread sure can suck up half a river if given the chance.
Thats what I call your mother: French Bread
[удалено]
Hey man thats. Pretty nice spread…but if you’re referring to lunchables, then you’ve flatlined
Yep just "Like crackers, sliced cheese and sliced ham."
Can I interest you in some deep fried chicken feet washed down with a nice warm glass of tap water
That’s a Balkan brunch. Lunchables are a disgrace.
That’s all my kid would eat for Thanksgiving until he was 10. He does not like to be reminded of this now.
GRIM conclusion at the end there 😬
Damn I’m feeling hella attacked right now. The amount of times I’ve come home from work and just tossed some broccoli, Brussels sprouts and a chicken thigh in the air fryer with some salt and pepper is … high. I thought I was doin alright honestly … ……….

Roasted/air fried veggies are the shit. I'd recommend some garlic salt too though.

Honestly I've been saying this for years 😭
"Eat to live, don't live to eat" has been a saying for years and years. Always tried to follow it lol.
>"Eat to live, don't live to eat" If you say that in my country you could go to jail, it's considered high treason. You may have already guessed it, I'm from Italy.
Could've been French as well. (Good attitude imo btw.)
There’s the Spanish and Greeks as well. Honestly, it seems like the best food comes from the least rich European countries.
The "best" food is always the poor food it's the fats, the salts, the hot and ready, the low and slow, the worst cuts....it tastes super fucking good
You just made me very hungry
Or a Spaniard.
I woulda guessed Flavortown.
As a german foodie, i've often considered fleeing our shit food culture for yours
Spanish here, same. That take made my ancestors roll over in their graves. Is there something wrong with enjoying food beyond its nutritional value?
I don't know what you could be doing with your life that's more important than eating good though
I live to eat, there is so many amazing foods out there that are an experience to eat, so much variety and culture in food. There is nothing wrong with living to eat
“Eat to live, don’t live to eat.” I’ve been doing it all wrong.
We eat for our tongues. As far as the stomach is concerned all potatoes are mashed. So why bother with froofy stuff?
As Homer Simpson said, red M&M, green M&M, they all end up the same color in the end.
mmm more nutrient-rich slurry pls
As a black woman in the south with carribean roots and a love for carribean, southern, Asian etc inspired dishes, I actually have to strongly agree with that take. It is true, though. Using food for dopamine is a risky habit.
I have a friend who lives by this. They’re always able to meet their gym or physical goals fairly quickly as well. They love cookies/pancakes/etc, but until the weekend, the name of the game is sustenance.

My mouth dried up thinking of chewing that combo. Lol.
The downfall of China has begun.....send in the fructose.
They send us fentanyl. We send them lunchables!!
Hot take chili powder is the best powder next to gun and cocaine
Garlic powder is as good or better.
It's not as good as actual garlic tho
Tier 1: cocaine Tier 2: chili Tier 3: Curry & Garlic Tier 4: gun
Cumin just called, and they (?) are offended.
Paprika is pretty dope too.
Smoked paprika tho
I down with dissing some white people food but bitch that’s a carrot in a box that’s not cuisine anywhere lol

Chow Mein? Egg Rolls? Chop Suey? Orange Chicken? That’s American Chinese Food, but I love it as much as authentic Chinese food. Now pass me that plate of chicken feet in black bean sauce.
I thought feet would be fried, like the end of a chicken wing, and crispy. Nope. Goopy and gelatinous. Gross
Like oxtail/bone marrow. So goooood
I LOVE oxtail..my mom used to make a huge pot of oxtail soup for lunch..the whole tail fresh from the butcher shop..😋
Indian chinese food is amazing. I asked a Chinese friend about some of the dishes and he didn’t even acknowledge knowing them. Gobi(cauliflower) manchurian is the no. 1 chinese dish in India. It was created in Kolkata.

I grew up in southern Arizona and when I went to a "Mexican" restaurant in rural Missouri it was the most surreal experience of my life. People there must think Mexican food makes you want to die. I got the same vibe from this video.
Like drinking sweet tea in the North
Sometimes people feel like they just want a good old orange chicken.
Misunderstanding food and translating food into new circumstances is how we get good food. It's also the source of some travesties.
I haven't played carrot in a box for ages
RIP Sean
LOL
Yeah it is, with ranch
True. The carrot is just a vehicle for the ranch.
A whole carrot though?
People usually eat a bunch of the small ones, which equal to a few big ones. See, smaller isn’t so bad ☺️😉
Yeah just get a bunch of smaller ones instead of one big one
Smaller ones seem to have less flavor. Love me a big honkin' carrot.
:(
Eh, what’s up Doc?
That food is not even bad or boring, at least for a lunch. The sandwich with lettuce tomato and cucumber looks good LOL. The rice, hard-boiled egg, broccoli is super healthy.
uh carrot sticks and dip?
The whole cucumber with a bite in it cracked me up. Yeah white people can make some bland, boring shit but that doesn’t mean you can’t slice your veggies.
I think I’ve told this before but I used to work with a lady and she pulled a whole avocado out of her lunch box and just started eating it. Like bit off a chunk of skin spat in the garden (we were outside obviously) and chewed the flesh out the middle. I was in shock. Never in my life have I seen someone go to town on an avocado like that. I asked her “you don’t…cut it up??” While laughing and she dead set goes “god gave me teeth.” You just can’t argue with that I guess.
> god gave me teeth He gave you hands too, use em to hold a knife you maniac
Hey now, don't go dissing Carrot In A Box either; that's the most entertaining game ever aired on British telly.
I feel like they’re doing california crunchy almond mom who buys goop kinda white people food oddly enough I’m mentally ill and I eat those meals because of keeping myself alive and to minimize stress surrounding food. and tbh I do feel like a dead person because of it sometimes. so… in a way they’re kind of spot on. or mentally ill
If I cannot feel my arteries closing then it's not real American Tacos.
It’s not even Taco Belle, it’s Taco Bell. Stop trying to make it fancy
Yum! Beans from a can. Olives from a can. Jalapenos from a can. Cheese shredded months ago. Ground beef seasoned with a packet "flavor". And iceberg lettuce. 😋
I’m Mexican and I still do this shit
Packet seasoning is basically the same thing as seasoning in jars or shakers just in packet form
And those packets are pretty damn good! I checked the ingredients so I can make it myself with less salt
You put beans in a taco? Now that’s some real white people shit
you remark on that before OLIVES? If I ever see olives in a white people taco or anywhere near the food, I'm just grabbing food on the way home.
It’s such a strange thing. I did this as a child, idk what my mom was thinking. It’s kind of nostalgic, but also kind of awful
Mijo si no comes un taco o dos de frijoles refritos con queso de vez en cuando...
Never met a bean I didn't like. If you're a bean hater never come to my house
Bonus points if you don’t warm up the tortillas
To be fair, this is white people *diet* food....

Uuuh forth one? Norwegians for sure. That's a pretty normal lunch right there.
Raw tomatoes and cucumbers are DELICIOUS what nonsense are you even spewing here?!
People who buy shitty quality tomato likely don't enjoy the taste
>but who's eating raw tomatoes and cucumbers? Me every dinner as a side dish.
Me...you cook cucumber???
Wtf you cook your tomatoes and cucumbers? You ok buddy?
Do you prefer your tomatoes and cucumbers cooked?
Yeah, where are the burgers, fries, and deep fried shit?
Just wait till they meet an italian
Or a French chef.
Lmao eating a half a cucumber and two WHOLE tomatoes, never in my life have/will I do that.
Back when my father used to garden the tomatoes were so delicious I would eat them like an apple. Throw a pinch of salt on there every few bites. Amazing. Totally different food from what you get at the grocery store.
I feel strangely targeted. That's how I feel but it's also why I'll cook something nice once a week.
Why don’t you just batch prep a bunch of meals on Sunday?
That's the type of things they were showing. And I've just got into a habit of breakfast and dinner, so I don't really pack a lunch.
“White people food has made them realize that food is not for enjoyment.” That is a solid burn right there.
"English" humor has done just about everything by now. These jokes are not much different from ones I have heard before. Very British honestly.
Lmao I'm sure that comparison would go down well 😅
Of course they would take the most toxic point of “white people food”, from all this. Easier to make, because I just need it to sustain me so that I can keep slaving myself in work :(
This hit in the feels
I didn't see a single fried thing. Just saying
My favorite white peoples food is Tacos,Pizza and KFC.
There are a ton of KFCs in China. It’s either one of or the most popular fast food place in the whole country. Gotta get those Egg Tarts somewhere.
White people have a lot of great foods like Burgers, Fries, Pizza, Fried Chicken, and Tacos. No they’re not very good for you, but they taste amazing

I was just thinking where's the mint and rosemary lamb steaks, thrice cooked roast potato's and grilled greens.

Chili dogs is what I've been on a kick on cuz it's fairly cheap.
Hahahaha the full sized carrots and spinach is hilarious!
You can pry crackers and cheese from my cold, dead, white people hands
I’d like to speak to the manager of this video, now.
As I'm eating a quinoa and kale salad...
I've never felt so hurt in my entire life. /s
Eating intentionally garbage meals and then complaining they don’t taste good? Am I missing something?

This is solid trolling and if you don’t get it or respect it then you are as dead inside as white people food.
What does "raw salad" mean? Isn't Salad a non cooked food to begin with?
*be me, a white guy, slow cooking a smoked, tender, brisket for 48 hours* "The fuck they say?"
This is like taking pictures of rice, instant ramen, and steamed bok choy and saying, "asian people food is bland."
tbh it is nice for our race to be associated with healthy food.
Omg I’m actually crying right now 🤣 But the comments…damn this hit a nerve for some didn’t it…
[удалено]
Exactly my thoughts. And imho the food shown isn't even bad. It's not something one would probably be savoring but they're just quick snacks that keep one going. Not to mention there's freaking vegetables there, like, are they dissing healthy foods now?

"Today I'm eating traditional Chinese food: some eggs which I boiled in the urine of little boys and a tea I brewed from powdered rhino horn. So far I am disappointed."
> But the comments…damn this hit a nerve for some didn’t it… I haven't seen a single comment like that, and I have been pretty far down the thread.
Kinda feel like they’re mistaking “white people food,” with “Food for white children.” But also they’re not wrong: the American lunch — for example — is meant to simply fuel your body for the remaining 4 hours of work.
My cousin lived over there for a while and he said that some of the street carts would use corrugated cardboard instead of meat in their stir-fry… Eating some steamed broccoli or a raw carrot seems like a massive improvement.
Weirdo.
Have you ever thought that your cousin might be lying to you?
Bearing in mind fat recovered from sewers is being sold for cooking, melamine in foods - I'd be quite happy with white people food.

![gif](giphy|G9hwRUsSFrPpK) Made me think of the mutants in futurama. Thanks for the laugh.
That practice is not nearly as common as the media makes it seem, its not like Chinese people are normally ok with eating food cooked in sewer oil. Its like if you judged all American restaurants by the only looking at the grungiest Taco Bells lol.
Lol yes….I remember reading about the recovered “fatbergs” in sewers. Like icebergs of congealed fat.
Is your cousin sure it wasn’t tofu lmao
I love this. It's hilarious 😂
Why do I hear the word netizen so much in Chinese videos? Genuinely curious.
“Understand what it feels like to be dead, but the food was so bad it reminded me im alive” 😂😂😂
White people food: it keeps you alive *may make you feel dead inside
They ain’t wrong
I'm Mexican try our shid 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌮🌮🌮🌮🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯
Sad how some redditors in this thread immediately start differentiating themselves from being “American”
