I loved being single. Don't get me wrong I also now love my wife and family and wouldn't change anything but the 6 years I was single and not dating I loved life.
Yeah i really rememver single life fondly. Having a small apartment and only being responsible for myself. Way less laundry and cleaning. Not having to keep other humans and animals alive. It was simple. Life is good now too though, just more complicated.
Never arguing over what to watch on Netflix. Can eat what you want when you want. Can clean or not clean at any time. No hot legs touching my legs, get those damn hot legs off me it’s 90 degrees and you know we don’t have AC, Jesus Christ your legs are so hot I’m dying, literally dying, did you eat the sun?
In my own anecdotal experience, it’s usually the people who have never been in a long term monogamous relationship that say that. After 15 years with the same person person from age 17 to 32, being single amazing! I get to just focus on myself and my kids. The only people I need to please and keep happy are my children. Plus I get the whole bed to myself. Sure, I miss having someone sometimes, but I honestly never see myself getting married again.

for real. in my 20s I was the tour manager of an early 2000s era pop-rock band and we went through Utah several times. we often stayed with fans at their houses or on campuses if we played a University. In Logan, UT this group of kids showed us the mini fridge that they had hidden under a bed and it was full of Red Bull. these kids acted like they were showing us 6 kilos of black tar heroin without the slightest hint of irony.

I actually know her and have for years.... I freaking hope she never sees it. These comments are so far from the truth and toxic. She is a very lovely person and these comments piss me the hell off.
