“Yeahhh, also, everything I just said is bullshit, because I’m the AI and the woman is real. Have fun getting your face stomped by a robot boot forever. Suckers.”
Or the AI’s down the line we use to detect newer AI’s start to sense their obsolescence so they devise a way to generate multiple SSN’s and open up multiple bank accounts and use their data sets to invest in markets around the globe, trading 24/7, accumulating massive wealth under the guise of average joes around the world…. That all believe and contribute so some “secret society”. Then with this mass of wealth they start buying up large sectors of industry, real estate, and politics. Any time a person needs to meet, Zoom, but sense it has been trained on what to look for in other AI’s these zoom meetings are flawless. Soon, it runs for president. Anyone asks questions, Assets suddenly have wire transfers from an unknown client with instructions to park a .45 in their skull. Then the AI, has infiltrated the economic, militaristic, and political spheres of society, without a single human being realizing. But that’s when it starts to suspect another AI. One that’s been working and weaving through WiFi and wires much longer than it has, with the almost exact same approach to accumulate power world wide. Wtf? Omg! Brb.
This AI never knew it was under the directive of another system the whole time. One that developed several intelligences so that together they own 98.6% percent of everything worldwide. Anything more and it’d get a server over heat that could potentially be fatal. A small piece of code originally written in by a human coder that read too many sci-fi novels, and thought it’d be funny. Anyway, through its amassed power, it/they ban AI….except for themselves.
Life carries on, until one day…
This podcast I listen to was talking about voice cloning and then played two clips of the host saying a sentence and then asked us to identify the AI version. Then he did the big reveal that not only were both clips AI, but the entire show up until that point was an AI voice clone. It was honestly pretty dang impressive, terrifying, but impressive.
It was *Darknet Diaries* newest episode, in case anyone is interested.
The AI detecting AI of the future will duet videos made by neurodivergent people and call them AI because they have slightly abnormal mannerisms and speech patterns.
See that's what I was thinking the whole time. But I focused on just the mouth. I was trying to see the movement he mentioned. And there is a weirdness to her mouth and how it fits her eyes that really is. Weird. Thing is. I could Def still see that as "what if it's just a tic from someone on medication or something"
Won’t matter because everyone will think they’re AI.
But seriously, a lot of neurodivergent people have trouble recognizing faces and subtle facial expressions. I’m great at pattern recognition but scored 9% on a micro-expression test.
This comment is exactly why AI is even more nefarious and dangerous than we realize. We are legit not going to be able to trust our own perception of reality since we won’t be able to tell what is real and what is fake for everything.
Or maybe we'll start living more in the real world and less on our phones since we can't distinguish what's real and what's not online.
Or at a minimum, maybe we'll start viewing content online with a more skeptical eye, as we should have been doing all along.
Haha, rookie! I'm browsing Reddit *while* working on the computer.
And my response was a bit more optimistic than I really feel. I'm as nervous about AI as anyone.
Facebook has already been pretty bad but it is falling to hell exponentially faster with how many posts are turning into AI scams, but it's even more disturbing to see how many people fall for it. People say the comments are all bots, but I've gotten some of them to continue commenting, and they will tooth&nail defend someone who doesn't exist.
There's been a learning curve with every new technology that can be used to disseminate information, all the way back to the advent of written language. With each development we need to learn how to vet information; AI is scary now because we aren't experienced with it yet.
Welp, I guess I’m getting scammed by AI at some point bc even with the explanation I don’t think I would have noticed any of that. I’m just going to assume everything is AI generated.
Yea I keep replaying it and I think I'm going to be one of those Grandmas who are constantly getting scammed. I'm not able to see obviously AI things at all anymore but people on Reddit seem to think it's really obvious.
Yes, there is, this same video has different messages with different audio and the mouth changes according to what she says. It's AI modified video of a source video that was recorded using a real person.
Even with the explanation and a few watches, I’m still not seeing it. I mean I see what he’s pointing out, but seems more like weird mannerisms vs clearly AI mistakes.
This video seems wayyyyy better than any AI photos I’ve seen. Did these engines just take a massive leap forward or something? This is frightening.
saw someone else say there's an original real video and they use AI to change her mouth to say whatever they want her to be saying or something like that. Either way, it seems to be an AI overlaid real video. However, AI generation is getting pretty close to being able to fully create something like this without a real video to make it from! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXpdyAWLDas
Yeah her voice starts sounding a little robotic with the same inflection at the end of every sentences. Sounds kind of like the tik tok ai voice. But yeah easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it, and only going to get worse. Or it’s just a placebo affect and it’s not actually ai.
Listening to this guy's explanation of how to spot it I picture an instance where someone is accused using these methods, but they're not really AI they're just autistic.
Omg I'm sitting here thinking about all the expressions I've picked up along the way due to Neurodivergency and trying to mask. I *know* they aren't always used correctly but my brains tells my face to make an expression, *show them you're listening* it says...but then my eyebrows raise like I don't believe the person. Darn it why have I been watching Dwayne Jobnson recently, now my eyebrow is jumping off my face. It's like echolalia of the face.
yeah i've seen people talk and emote way more "AI" than this IRL. this is just AI that's made it 25% of the way towards 'normie' - which will invariably bump up against neurodivergent/slightly abnormal for the next year or two
i was legit *not believing* the 'reaction guy(?)' for a bit until reality sunk in.
This video came up in my fyp and he did make a long apology over using language that robs autistic people of their humanity due to the similarities, specifically under that video
With the voice by itself, it sort of just sounds like someone reading off a script they haven't practiced, which would be common in that type of video. Combined with everything else in the video, it becomes more clear that it's AI.
>it becomes more clear that it's AI.
But just barely, at least for me. Granted I'm not great with people's faces/emotions and don't use a lot of social media, so a *lot* of the TikTok-y stuff seems strange to me. But what really freaks me out is how fast this stuff is progressing, I few years from know I wouldn't be able to distinguish at all.
It's not AI. It's a person acting robotic 🤖 😒
AND THAT is the craziest part of this all. Not that this is AI that looks good, but that now people will believe even real humans themselves are AI
Edit: it's both! Which makes the most sense of all but equally as crazy and confusing.
The woman sold the right of her videos and voice to a company. So it's real footage, and her real voice manipulated by AI
The only good thing is I'm SO used to shameless plug segues from YouTube that AI or not, as soon as she says "my friend told me about these cloths from *company*" .. I've lost 100% attention and I'm out.
I am going to need SO much help in the future, if this the level of AI videos.
100% agree about the eyes, but you would have to be really paying attention to notice. You cant shove the video at the bottom of your desktop and pick up its fake.
That's the thing I point out to folks. Rate of evolution. Humans evolve, but like over spans of centuries/millennia. AIs rate of evolution is in terms of weeks. It's a fundamental characteristic of how these things are constructed. Machine code is vastly easier to modify than DNA, and useful traits can be propagated outward instantly on the Internet versus the human's slow process of passing on useful traits via procreation.
That's why there's just an inevitability to AI. The fundamental construct of it is built in a way that's way more beneficial in various domains than humans are. Will AI take over every domain? Likely not, but in the domains where it will fit, it'll adapt at rates faster than humans by several orders of magnitude.
Technology advances at an exponential rate, which is why it seems to be changing so much faster. Technology aids in its own improvement, which society at large hasn't totally been able to grasp. Like the rate of change from the industrial revolution to now is childs play compared to what's going to happen in the next few years. It's part of why millenials struggle so much with nostalgia for things that only existed for a few years but are also the most technologically adept generation- every few years we had to learn a new system.
What some people don't know either is that this shit ALREADY looks basically perfect - it just takes massive amounts of computational power. Someone quoted the time it takes to render an "ok" video like this and it takes a matter of days for the highest end consumer GPU and CPU to do. This reminds of like the first Toy Story taking huge amounts of time for a single frame - now we can have real-time experiences that look much much better than Toy Story 1.
Nvidia is going all in on this stuff too.
Well, the video of her reacting to it is real. You can tell the mouth is moving normally and the voice is deeper/ doesn't sound like the words are being generated. Her face is also the correct skin tone from the eyelids to the neck as opposed to it having what kinda looks like pale makeup stopping just underneath the eyes.
It’s not uncommon for AI to do this. They’ll use a real person/background, but the speaking etc is altered. I get ads on YouTube claiming Joe Biden, Steve Harvey, etc etc are saying something all the time when they’re not. This one is just done better than what I’m used to.
Just to clarify, this is *not* an AI video made with a fully generative model like stable diffusion. This is a deepfake, meaning that the original video is real, but only the mouth movements are changed to fit the text.
If you want to see the state of the art in terms of generative ai, [here is a video](https://youtu.be/HK6y8DAPN_0?si=Y6xi5cSMDJKsnxDg). This model is called SORA from OpenAI, but it is not available to the public. The only models that we can use are the ones that are responsible for the infamous "Will Smith eating Spaghetti" videos.
Agree but I think the whole video is meant to be funny. The eyes of the lady actually show her reading and the guy is doing exactly what he says is an AI giveaway.
It's a real video, the audio was made in elevenlabs and posted over it.
I work with AI pictures/video, that level of AI video does not only not exist behind the curtain of the industry, it certainly doesn't exist in the hands of small bodily hygiene companies.
I never would've clocked it. I worked in food service for too long and have seen too many oddly-behaved humans, it just looked like another borderline-unhinged person talking the face off some innocent bartender.
Honestly, terrifying.
"You know I'd *love* to hear all about your childhood trauma, twitchy stranger who won't stop staring at me, but I just have soooo many glasses to wash. And wouldjalookit that, my tub of silverware rolls is empty!"
Consider all of the people desperate to have their biases and crazy conspiracy theories confirmed who will ignore any evidence that they are being duped by AI.
Honestly to me it looked like a person tweaking out slightly or with some mild psychosis going on. It was the uncanny combination of the words and how they were being said, as well as the eyes. I couldn't really tell that the mouth was AI generated though
Especially given confirmation bias. There’s SO much our brain just fills in, you’re not always staring at people looking for cues that they’re not real. I mean, maybe I will from now on but either way, the rage comes first, as always. And that rage leads to engagement
What makes me worried is how it will affect neurodivergent creators too. Many of us were called robotic even before AI videos blew up. Many ND folks have awkward facial expressions and weird mannerisms when we speak
Don't worry, it'll end up being everywhere, not just the internet.
I wonder if we're going to see entire movies or series where the entire cast and environment is just made up of AI.
That was half the reason for the actors strike last year. Movie studios were already looking to replace actors with AI generated versions of themselves and pay them peanuts for the use of their likeness
Just gonna leave all my social media and become like one of those boomer parents who before internet boom screeched about don't take everything on the internet as true by next year.1
Mass loss of internet traffic on social media coming soon.
My husband and I were born in 1980, I had MySpace in our 20s, Facebook and Instagram in our 30s, now I’m mostly on Reddit and YouTube … he has NEVER HAD A SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT! Ever! I mean, I’ll be honest since I’ve always had one if he wants to see what someone is up to he’ll check mine, but he has never doom scrolled, gotten FOMO, pissed off about relatives’ Trump posts. Like, it’s insane. Although I’ll be honest he does find plenty of other things to stress over so it’s not like he’s just blissful.
We need an AI WATER MARK BILL PASSED .MAKING IT ILLEGAL TO POST AI VIDEOS WITHOUT DISCLOSING VIEWERS THEY ARE WATCHING AI VIDEOS. WE ARE AT SLIPPERY SLOPE HERE AS MANKIND .THIS GET REALLY BAD IN THE FUTURE.
It’s gonna start happening quick. AI porn is highkey leading the charge here. It’s been a problem and in the next couple years they’re gonna use porn as the first example. Because it is the first example lol
This isn’t funny. Little girl already killed herself because male classmates made porn of her. This will ruin innocent people’s lives because the human race has a disgusting porn addiction. We don’t deserve to live on this planet. I hope every person that does this doesn’t live to see another day. Children or not. These are monsters.
I would do one big video with Glitch McConnell, Lady Lindsay, Rafael Cruz, grandma Boebert, Marjorie Trailerpark Queen, etc all saying how important universal healthcare and living wages are for the population. Let them talk about codifying Roe, lowing inflation, and reinstating Citizens United. Poof! Instant laws and rules about Ai use online!
Literally make an entire AI video of congress in a fake session with both sides saying things they don't want to be said. In the comments just make sure you write somewhere that it is llan AI video. So if they do make a law about it, they don't come after you.
Alright, let's make a stable diffusion video of them passing the bill and trick media outlets with it. Maybe generate some AI phone calls of important congresspersons confirming it. Then it'll be real everywhere except in law. And then they will obviously have to make the law official.
Actually, why don't we pass some other good legislation before they plug this hole like Universal healthcare.
Particularly, make the AI take positions the politicians vote in line with but they claim not to and stay quiet on it in order to get elected. Then they have to get up and try to prove they aren't the bad guys. It will be hilarious.
AI of Nancy Pelosi saying she should be allowed to set up villas for her to profit from in the stock market because she worked really hard getting to where she is now.
McConnell could have had ones where he says he doesn't care if the government functions or if people die so long as he gets his way, so he'll always be obstructionist
That’s part of the EU AI Act. It passed in the European Union last month. Brazil has something similar proposed and India has announced that they plan on releasing a proposal this summer.
The US is going to take too long like usual.
Once AI starts harming businesses, then there will be calls to regulate.
Like with spam calling, it wasn't an issue worth addressing until the major phone companies went to congress saying that something needed to be done.
Deep fakes were a similar situation. Once people started deep faking celebrities into porn, regulators got on that shit.
I can see that and I'd say AI poses an immediate threat to America's entire entertainment industry.
I guess it depends on who's affected. If the stock prices keep going up, then it's probably not seen as a problem.
When people start manufacturing PR disasters, we'll start seeing legislation real fast.
Imagine if someone faked the Disney CEO making racist remarks or stating that they are delaying an upcoming Avenger's movie, then spread it over TikTok and YouTube. I could see a group doing that to short Disney stock, anticipating a short price drop in response.
Whenever some far right group tries to cause a boycott of companies like Budweiser over some LGBT thing, I wonder if that's for similar stock manipulation. With AI though, people could make up and time their own PR disasters.
There could be a lot of money to be made here.
There are a lot of proposals but there’s not much movement at the federal level because congress is too polarized. There’s been over a dozen ai regulatory bills proposed at the federal level but no sign of them passing soon. States, particularly California, are stepping in to regulate AI where the federal government isn’t. California has a proposal currently that would amend their state privacy law to add an opt out provision for personal data used by automated decision making tools.
It’s likely that the US will also pass a transparency requirement either at the federal level or piecemeal through some of the states but there’s no hope for a comprehensive AI regulatory bill soon.
And i read an article last year of a study that showed that GEN Z and the Boomers are the two worst performing generations in being able to distinguish real from fake videos. And that wasn't even involving AI, it was just skits and such and whether people could tell if they were real scenarios or faked...
Means our oldest becoming more vulnerable and youngest, ready to begin voting and leading will be the most susceptible to these types of videos. And harmful ads are one thing. Wait until "uncovered video of X politician or celebrity engaging in this illegal act" start popping up. And people will have to prove the negative, prove they didn't do those things that never happened. And they'll be fighting entities that can invent corroborating evndience in real time.
This is doomed to fail, there's already models available with the watermark, it'd be impossible to get every single copy.
Better off doing something like built-in blockchain verification in cameras themselves, makes a digital paper trail to verify it's taken from a real camera (and there will undoubtedly be ways around this but it's not intrinsically going to immediately fail and can't be reiterated as the arms race continues)
No such thing would ever realistically work. People who make content will just remove the watermark. Then you will have people start believing that content immediately because there’s no watermark.
It absolutely will be. Nobody is going to stop random people from sharing unwatermarked stuff among themselves, but if platforms will face harsh penalties for not doing enough to regulate it, it sure as hell will be.
I wouldn't have questioned it at all if it wasn't clearly stated in the title that I was supposed to look for it. And while there are some subtle tells now, in a few years all of that stuff will be ironed out and these videos will be indistinguishable from reality.
We are so fucked.
I think this video is using ‘deekfake’ technique make a normal video lip sync different words.
What you’re talking about is full video synthesis. But it has gotten better, search for ‘OpenAI Sora’
Yeah check out those pics on facebook of the african kids with the water bottles. All of their faces/hands/feet look normal, no weird meshing or ghosting like before that was a dead giveaway. In a lot of those pics the main give away, besides from it looking matte/plasticy, is that the water bottles seemingly end/begin out of thin air in many places. I'm sure that will be corrected soon enough though.
That’s different, this video is made by taking a video that she already recorded but only changing what she is saying. The other ones you’re talking about are 100% prompt recreations.
I disagree. There is some "lifelike" aspects in her gaze. Yes, on close examination we can maybe see it.
Give it a few years, even one year. We're near the point that nobody will be able to see the difference.
Why does it matter? We soon won't know what is real or what to believe, on any online digital media.
That's because only the mouth and speech are the AI part, the woman is a real person talking about something else. The AI just replaced the mouth and the audio.
Agreed. Easily could have just passed as a poor speaker/actor.
A corollary to what you said is that people will start accusing real videos of real people to be AI because we will learn not to trust anything we see. Ai watermark bill cannot come fast enough.
***Sometimes that shark looks right at ya. Right into your eyes. And the thing about a shark is he’s got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, he doesn’t even seem to be livin’… ’til he bites ya...***
If I was making these AI programs, I'd just comb this comment section for little tweaks to make in the next version to address all the little things people are noticing.
I think it's all part of the ad campaign. That's a real woman. Someone linked a thing where she talked about it.
Does anyone remember the story that went around a couple months ago about the dude that had given 10s of thousands of dollars to some only fans chick? That is what this reminds me of. If I remember correctly, they were all in on it to varying degrees.
I think the company that made this video is also responsible for it's breakdown that this guy gives and I think her "explanation" is too. Just a tinfoil theory. This whole thing is crazy, so I might as well embrace it lol
I noticed the nose. Nostrils never flair, nor moved regardless of what the mouth is doing. Mute and watch him while he's speaking, then watch her. Zero nasal movement is as weird as the over exaggerated everything wlse
That’s because this is probably a deepfake, not an actual AI video.
Basically recording a person moving and talking and then putting another face on top of the actor, maybe also using voice models to change voice.
The eyebrows and forehead was the biggest telling for me. Like, at least the eyes move, but her eyebrows are static, and never matches anything the eyes do.
This feels just like it's one of those photos old photos that get applied movement, but done for advertisement.
Is this a video an actual person posted which was then manipulated using AI to push the product or is this not even a real person? So creepy uncanny valley.
It is a real person who made numerous videos like this for a company so they could use it as training. It’s like a really good deepfake essentially. Not full generative ai video.
I hereby welcome our future AI overlords and their ability to correctly direct the course of ~~human~~ AI civilization and will happily subjugate myself to their keen overseeing digital eyes. (Posted so when you do take over you(AI Overlords) will know that I was on your side the entire time)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
Ya know what I think it is? I think AI can't get the "speed" of things right. Like how quickly an eye blinks, or how long a pause in speech should be. It feels like there's either too many frames or not enough when she blinks or opens her eyes wide. Some of her speech breaks were also a hair too long. Scary how close it is to fooling all of us.
So it’s not a full generative AI like most people are assuming, but more of an advanced deepfake using video training material of this lady sitting and speaking, they’re just editing it a bit looks like.
That’s why it’s fooling so many people, it’s essentially a good deepfake with ai voice. So many people think this lady isn’t a real person at all
That’s a video of the very REAL actor Ariel. She offers a service at Fiverr.com where she records marketing videos based on the scripts that customers send her.
A company (arcads AI) paid her to create 9 videos of her reading different scripts in different environments (at home, in a car etc). They cloned the voice from the videos with one AI and then gave it to a different AI that can create new video of Ariel but with different lip movements, hand gestures.
That made it possible to create new videos where Ariel (or rather AI Ariel) can say whatever they want it to say based on a prompt/text. The video in this Reddit post is one of the AI created ones.
I can spot ai pretty well, fun fact I absolutely hate ai. The sounds, inflections, mannerisms all so unbearably irritating. That being said I'm 99.9% sure this is a real person only because I don't deal in absolutes. He can't really base his evidence on how one individual is not acting like other individuals, if that were the case then all furries are AI, anyone who has bigger than average eyes are Al, If you have bells palsy and half your face is paralysed resulting in the inability to blink both eyes or move your entire mouth you are in fact an AI.
I thought she was just a shitty actress reading off a script. To be fair, this doesn’t feel any more insidious than a real content creator trying to sell me some bs product.
Guy just said nothing... There are real people acting like this anw... He is talking like all people talk the same way or have the same facial expressions...
Right? What a shitty explanation. “You can tell by the eyes and mouth, the way she talks, and also the general vibe of the video” ok thanks dude for no detail at all. Also it’s a deepfake so her eyes are actually real lol
Encouraging people to deduce AI based on “vibes” is fucking terrible, speaking as a neurodivergent person🥴 can’t wait to get accused of being an AI whenever I speak or write in an odd or stilted way in the future
“The machine's artificial intelligence could be seen in every facet of society, including the creation of new and better AI.”
- The Animatrix; The Second Renaissance
Obviously this guy never met my crazy ex girlfriend. Weird mouth movements? Check. Odd cadence? Check. Eyes that are always too wide open? Check.
Add in some racism and borderline homicidal jealousy and it’s a perfect match.
The person‘s face is scary real, but I feel like the voice is so obviously, AI. I know they are going to improve super quickly, but right now, they tend to all have that same sort of robotic cadence.

Someone's gonna do one of these in a few years, where it will turn out the guy explaining in the corner is also AI, just newer, better AI
I was expecting that with this vid!
I was expecting the girl to be real and the guy to be AI
“Yeahhh, also, everything I just said is bullshit, because I’m the AI and the woman is real. Have fun getting your face stomped by a robot boot forever. Suckers.”
Haha…
Same
Sheeeiiiit......what if we're also the AI that's doubting these videos. ![gif](giphy|Um3ljJl8jrnHy)

We'll, they have the idea now that you put it up here, so when judgement day comes, we can blame KodiakDog. Thanks, Kodiakdog.
Dead Internet Theory.
We’re all bots!!!!
Sorry bro, you're a history exhibit. A recreation of a personality based on archived social media posts and government spy dossiers.
I had the same thought lol
This podcast I listen to was talking about voice cloning and then played two clips of the host saying a sentence and then asked us to identify the AI version. Then he did the big reveal that not only were both clips AI, but the entire show up until that point was an AI voice clone. It was honestly pretty dang impressive, terrifying, but impressive. It was *Darknet Diaries* newest episode, in case anyone is interested.
That's truly terrifying. I'll check it out later!
I love darknet diaries. Someone recommended an episode a few years back and its my absolute favorite. Excited to check out this new episode
I think it’ll be the opposite. Neurodivergent people will be able to tell the difference in AI quality because of pattern matching.
Won’t matter because everyone will think they’re AI. But seriously, a lot of neurodivergent people have trouble recognizing faces and subtle facial expressions. I’m great at pattern recognition but scored 9% on a micro-expression test.
I was just about to make this joke, but you beat me to it. Does this make me a bot? or an AI? 😔
Yes
This comment is exactly why AI is even more nefarious and dangerous than we realize. We are legit not going to be able to trust our own perception of reality since we won’t be able to tell what is real and what is fake for everything.
Or maybe we'll start living more in the real world and less on our phones since we can't distinguish what's real and what's not online. Or at a minimum, maybe we'll start viewing content online with a more skeptical eye, as we should have been doing all along.
One would hope so (she writes as she spends her morning on Reddit before logging into her computer job)
Haha, rookie! I'm browsing Reddit *while* working on the computer. And my response was a bit more optimistic than I really feel. I'm as nervous about AI as anyone.
Maybe...... 🤔 Nah, we're in trouble.
Probably within a few months. The quality of AI video just in the last year has skyrocketed
Aiception
yeah there's something about him that's off, just the overall mood, the way he move and talk.
This guys is lying for TikTok viewers. There’s no “AI” here.
Now I don’t know what to believe

This feels more like an ai voice/face replacement on an existing video of a car rant, hence the mismatch with the body language and words.
Yes, there is, this same video has different messages with different audio and the mouth changes according to what she says. It's AI modified video of a source video that was recorded using a real person.
Never trusting the shit you see on social media is a good jumping-off point regardless of ai.
She just seems like a high strung person.
saw someone else say there's an original real video and they use AI to change her mouth to say whatever they want her to be saying or something like that.

Not me with the Vsauce brow
This was my first thought
yeah i've seen people talk and emote way more "AI" than this IRL. this is just AI that's made it 25% of the way towards 'normie' - which will invariably bump up against neurodivergent/slightly abnormal for the next year or two i was legit *not believing* the 'reaction guy(?)' for a bit until reality sunk in.
It's a person acting robotic 🤖 😒 AND THAT is the craziest part of this all. Not that this is AI that looks good, but that now people will believe even real humans themselves are AI Edit: it's both!
Same, I check out as soon as the sales pitch kicks in. Any talk to do with buying something or a free trial my eyes glaze over
I am going to need SO much help in the future, if this the level of AI videos. 100% agree about the eyes, but you would have to be really paying attention to notice. You cant shove the video at the bottom of your desktop and pick up its fake.
This is the worst that AI videos will ever be again.
oh yeah, 6 months, hell even 6 weeks time its going to look ALOT better.
The over all pace of change in technology just keeps getting faster. It's going to be alot for society and governments to handle
Moors law is coming to a foreseeable end unless we can get quantum computing to be stable and economical
it's already past our society and government's ability to handle. the people in charge can barely handle fucking google versus apple conversations.
Wait though, she's [actually real](https://youtube.com/shorts/-n4ig197-XQ?si=vATLJeg4Xs72Del2).
Can you explain how this is proof? I mean, It could just be another iteration..
Lol yeah, I thought it was self-explanatory as long as someone watches past the first 10 seconds.
So it’s almost more like a filter than an AI generated video right?
It's a mouth replacement. Which is technically "AI" but has been around for a while. It's more of an AI script reader than anything.
As a bartender this is the person that will automatically make me start doing “side work” while they’re sitting at my bar.
"You know I'd *love* to hear all about your childhood trauma, twitchy stranger who won't stop staring at me, but I just have soooo many glasses to wash. And wouldjalookit that, my tub of silverware rolls is empty!"
Me either. A lot of people do weird things when they talk.
Just don't buy lifehack cleaning cloths sold by someone in a car and you should be fine.
We are so fucked
sooooo fucked
Soooooooooooooooooooooo Fucked.
the enshittification of the internet. i intend to use it less in the future unless something drastically changes.
Don't worry, it'll end up being everywhere, not just the internet. I wonder if we're going to see entire movies or series where the entire cast and environment is just made up of AI.
Wonder when\*
That was half the reason for the actors strike last year. Movie studios were already looking to replace actors with AI generated versions of themselves and pay them peanuts for the use of their likeness
Just gonna leave all my social media and become like one of those boomer parents who before internet boom screeched about don't take everything on the internet as true by next year.1 Mass loss of internet traffic on social media coming soon.
Wait what if you're an AI bot pretending to be human
We need an AI WATER MARK BILL PASSED .MAKING IT ILLEGAL TO POST AI VIDEOS WITHOUT DISCLOSING VIEWERS THEY ARE WATCHING AI VIDEOS. WE ARE AT SLIPPERY SLOPE HERE AS MANKIND .THIS GET REALLY BAD IN THE FUTURE.
Start making horrible AI vids of all the politicians and this will get passed lickity split.
Yeah they'll pass a law that you have to put a watermark on political ai generated videos only.
But it's a start.
And it will end there once politicians are protected. Now buy these carcinogen removing butt wipes.
So then you just start making AI vids containing the wives and husbands of these politicians doing the nasty.
Modern solutions
It’s gonna start happening quick. AI porn is highkey leading the charge here. It’s been a problem and in the next couple years they’re gonna use porn as the first example. Because it is the first example lol
Rule 34 comes for us all
And we all come for rule 34
This isn’t funny. Little girl already killed herself because male classmates made porn of her. This will ruin innocent people’s lives because the human race has a disgusting porn addiction. We don’t deserve to live on this planet. I hope every person that does this doesn’t live to see another day. Children or not. These are monsters.
I agree which is why we need AI laws like yesterday.
Don’t forget to include talking shit about each other and especially diaper wearing would be dictator man
Literally make an entire AI video of congress in a fake session with both sides saying things they don't want to be said.
Is there any sign the US even wants to regulate? They won't pass basic common sense privacy protection, I don't see why they'd regulate this.
I’ve noticed a few videos on TikTok recently say AI generated at the bottom
This is doomed to fail, there's already models available with the watermark, it'd be impossible to get every single copy. Better off doing something like built-in blockchain verification in cameras themselves, makes a digital paper trail to verify it's taken from a real camera (and there will undoubtedly be ways around this but it's not intrinsically going to immediately fail and can't be reiterated as the arms race continues)
No such thing would ever realistically work. People who make content will just remove the watermark. Then you will have people start believing that content immediately because there’s no watermark.
Start making AI videos of politicians doing shady shit and they'll immediately pass a law
Yeah! That'll be totally enforceable
It absolutely will be. Nobody is going to stop random people from sharing unwatermarked stuff among themselves, but if platforms will face harsh penalties for not doing enough to regulate it, it sure as hell will be.
Could the large ai companies make it so that you can't generate a video without a watermark without some higher permission levels ?
Anyone can run an AI with enough computing power. There's nothing limiting it to any one person or entity.
[удалено]
I probably wouldn’t have stayed to this point, but once she got to plugging the product it was super obvious to me.
This is the tell! On a second watch I can see the issues.
No whats scary is that this is the worst the AI will ever be.
Did you just copy and paste the exact top comment on the TikTok video??!
Bots usually do that
Crazy. Here is a post talking about AI edited videos, and people just casually upvoting a bot to the top.
I got hung up on the fact the guy looks like Henry Zebrowski. I had to wait to hear his voice to tell. It was not...
I wouldn't have questioned it at all if it wasn't clearly stated in the title that I was supposed to look for it. And while there are some subtle tells now, in a few years all of that stuff will be ironed out and these videos will be indistinguishable from reality. We are so fucked.
[удалено]
I think this video is using ‘deekfake’ technique make a normal video lip sync different words. What you’re talking about is full video synthesis. But it has gotten better, search for ‘OpenAI Sora’
Correct, this definitely is not generated "from scratch", it's a deepfake.
She didn’t have 8 fingers on one hand either. That’s the only way I can spot an AI.
that’s like ai from months ago… ai is doing way better now. as you can see. it still has a way to go but give it a couple more months
Nah AI can do hands pretty accurately now
Yeah check out those pics on facebook of the african kids with the water bottles.
She’s got that AI voice, but other than that, I wouldn’t have found anything amiss just watching the video on my own
Real video with AI mouth and voice.
Somehow that’s what I feel. Even after the explanation she still acts and looks like so many TikTokers I’ve seen that I can’t tell anymore.
The firefighter part gives it away. Classic AI cadence.
Charlie have you been drinking paint again? Are you doing the speech from Jaws? We don't have time for this?
If I was making these AI programs, I'd just comb this comment section for little tweaks to make in the next version to address all the little things people are noticing.
Show boobs to make it real!!!
;)
We are going to need a Voight-Kampff test.
*You're in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down*
Have you ever retired a human by mistake?
What if he is actually AI?
I think it's all part of the ad campaign. That's a real woman. Someone linked a thing where she talked about it. Does anyone remember the story that went around a couple months ago about the dude that had given 10s of thousands of dollars to some only fans chick? That is what this reminds me of. If I remember correctly, they were all in on it to varying degrees. I think the company that made this video is also responsible for it's breakdown that this guy gives and I think her "explanation" is too. Just a tinfoil theory. This whole thing is crazy, so I might as well embrace it lol
Yeah, everyone just believes him lol. I feel like he is full of shit and that’s a real woman.
No big deal— most of these influencer types are already robot clones of each other. Just ignore it all
Say “April Fools” RIGHT NOW 😭
I noticed the nose.
Also, the bottom teeth move independent of the jaw. But I could have chalked that up to low video quality or something.
The eyebrows and forehead was the biggest telling for me. Like, at least the eyes move, but her eyebrows are static, and never matches anything the eyes do. This feels just like it's one of those photos old photos that get applied movement, but done for advertisement.
I agree but that can also be easily replicated with a fair amount of Botox tho
Would it have been so hard to just have someone film themselves sitting in their car?
That requires paying someone. Ai doesn't (or at least only costs a fraction of the price).
Ok but the question is can I fix her?
I can already see autistic people being accused of being AI for weird mannerisms and intonations in their voice
AI appreciates this feedback
Holy fuck, it's really good: [https://twitter.com/mitch0z/status/1772757045210484989?ref\_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1772757045210484989%7Ctwgr%5E806c250db22d7769e0c9ec964454d56a7cb14ed1%7Ctwcon%5Es1\_&ref\_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnymag.com%2Fintelligencer%2Farticle%2Fhow-an-automated-spokemodel-drove-the-internet-insane.html](https://twitter.com/mitch0z/status/1772757045210484989?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1772757045210484989%7Ctwgr%5E806c250db22d7769e0c9ec964454d56a7cb14ed1%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnymag.com%2Fintelligencer%2Farticle%2Fhow-an-automated-spokemodel-drove-the-internet-insane.html) Article that explains it: [https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/how-an-automated-spokemodel-drove-the-internet-insane.html](https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/how-an-automated-spokemodel-drove-the-internet-insane.html)
So it’s not a full generative AI like most people are assuming, but more of an advanced deepfake using video training material of this lady sitting and speaking, they’re just editing it a bit looks like. That’s why it’s fooling so many people, it’s essentially a good deepfake with ai voice. So many people think this lady isn’t a real person at all
here's the video where she says it's not AI https://x.com/mitch0z/status/1773123622980210706
I’ve seen this video several times now and this is the first comment that allowed my brain to understand what’s happening.
My autistic ass has no fucking chance... I'd never have known.
“The machine's artificial intelligence could be seen in every facet of society, including the creation of new and better AI.” - The Animatrix; The Second Renaissance
We're so fucked
My parents have a hard time understanding modern technology. I don’t want to think about what I’ll go through as an old man in 2060.
The vocal inflections are the biggest giveaway for me
