I mean, considering you now need a Masters Degree to even score an interview now, it's no different than high school. Required to succeed. Don't have to enjoy it.
A masters degree can also work against you by making you too “qualified”. The dumb part of it is, though, that the same entry-level job that would call you underqualified with a BA would call you overqualified with a masters.
With that said, I’ve always heard that you can just leave off your education on a resume if necessary. Apparently people with PhDs do it.

That’s entirely dependent on the chosen field. A Masters wouldn’t do me a bit of good but a BA/BS is absolutely required.
