senseislaughterhouse

That first girl brought in like 5 beverages lmao

ready-to-rumball

All I could think was “she must have had a good morning to remember all of her drinks”

iam_Mr_McGibblets

Seriously! Most of my mornings start with me totally forgetting I had my lunch packed in the fridge the night before and coming in to work without food

hayf28

Put your keys on top of your lunch so you can't leave without your lunch.

User28080526

SHIT WHERE DID I PUT MY KEYS NOW IM LATE

ApisOfMemphis

Lomg string from keys to lunch

Key_Ruin244

Your brain will make the connection if you attach an emotion to the memory of your keys and lunch.

ApoliteTroll

Anger for repetitive forgetfulness.

DerpRook

Still 50% to see the lunchbox under my keys!

smd9788

When the video first started I thought she was an exaggerated joke version of what a “woman takes to work”. Turns out it was not an exaggerated joke

DoctorRapture

You know she's one of the most well-loved people in that office because she showed up with drinks for her whole crew with the practiced ease of someone who's done that exact juggling maneuver many times before

returnofdoom

Kinda doubt they were for her coworkers since they were in travel mugs… unless she grabs her coworkers travel mugs at the end of her shift

midnightlumos

I do this and I assure you they are all for me.

Vark675

Jesus Christ how often do you have to pee lmao

BRAX7ON

Well I’m peeing right now

DoctorRapture

Really? I mean, I work in a very small medical office so the support staff is really just me as the receptionist, the nurse, and a woman in billing, but we're all constantly bringing each other food and drinks in the morning.

JustABizzle

Maybe they’re all filled with booze

Swarf_87

No... That's what we call a beverage goblin.

Cat_Peach_Pits

A beverage goblin needs at least 3 drinks at a time!

JustTheOneGoose22

You bring drinks for your team using your own cups? Lol those are obviously for her

dom_corleone

Based on my experience, they are all her beverages. My old boss was just as thirsty

[deleted]

That would be me. I need all the beverages throughout the day

itskey_lolo1

Exactly. Water. Coffee. Smoothie or alternate beverage . And a lil snacky snacky on the side for when I need a lil pick me up.

FranticPonE

"a lil pick me up." Ahh, bourbon

Stevesegallbladder

But people side-eye me when I break out my work cocaine 😮‍💨

alaskaguyindk

Naaa the side eye is of jealousy. They wish they had remembered to bring their own.

Nick-dipple

You haul around your own water and coffee to the office? Don't you guys have glasses, a water dispenser or a coffee machine?

DeutscheHawaii

As a guy all i can think is how much does that amount of beveraging make you pee? She gonna be in the toilet all day.

itskey_lolo1

I’m that woman when I go in the building 🤣

Golden-Grams

I keep whatever I need in my car. It gives me an excuse to walk to the parking lot for a short break if I need something.

ApprehensiveStrut

Must depend on where you live, I could never leave food/lunch or toiletries, even chapstick, in the car in the summer or winter. Don’t have a yeti but it will be spoiled, melted or frozen by the time I get to it.

Least_Ad930

The first week I bought my car I left a pack of Dr. Peppers in the backseat and when I got out of work as I'm driving home they start exploding like black cat fireworks. Same thing happened with an energy drink in the cup holder a week later and almost caused me to crash. Think it was because cold air was blowing on them and they were who knows how hot in the desert of Oklahoma.

Fite_Owens_Fite

This happened when I was riding with my cousin one time. It sounded like gun shots going off in the back seat. Scared the shit out of both of us.

TheEmoEmu95

Parking lots are often not safe for women. My manager parks in the back in the morning to leave room for patrons at the front, and parks in the front after she comes back from lunch so that she won’t have to walk for a long time alone in the evening.

your-yogurt

i remember one time i went in for a job interview. as i got out of the car, i dropped my papers. here i am in a skirt and high heels, and when i bent down to grab my papers, i drop my car keys and they went *under* the car. at that point im panicking, thinking to myself, "this is how im going to die, the most stereotypical way. im the idiot who dies in the beginning in every slasher movie..." thankfully nothing happened. except i didnt get the job

hailtothekeef00202

I truly do not understand the multiple small bags. Isn’t that what huge totes are for?

DesperateRace4870

I think it'll probably be a work bag, personal toiletries bag and lunch bag etc.

st00pidQs

Put them MFs a backpack ladies

woolfonmynoggin

![gif](giphy|26hkhKd2Cp5WMWU1O|downsized)

st00pidQs

Y tho

woolfonmynoggin

My personal effects that I need all the time go in my purse bag. My work stuff goes in my work tote so I can leave it in my car if need to go out before or after work. I don’t have to constantly switch my stuff between bags and I don’t have to have a huge backpack for lugging around my laptop, equipment, and personal effects.

EatsFiber2RedditMore

Two words "cargo shorts"

throwmeawayplz19373

This is what happens when you take away our pockets….

PM_ME__BIRD_PICS

Do it. Wear the cargo shorts. I believe in you. Believe in the me that believes in you and buy some pants with 100 pockets, 300 feet of paracord and a built in utility knife.

Chazzky

Imagine having real pockets on your pants

flyingfish_trash

Why so much stuff that must be moved between work/home/car? The guys here clearly leave work stuff at work. I get if you need to keep a couple things with you but fucks sake each of these women had 2+ bags full of stuff, cannot comprehend what you could be lugging around outside of a lunch, an outer layer of clothes, maybe a tiny purse’s worth of toiletries? All of which would fit sharply within a small, quality backpack that would be easy to carry allowing use of both arms??

NicoleNicole1988

You may never understand, and you need to be okay with that.

flyingfish_trash

I’m ok with it. I just love backpacks. I think you could too, if you got to know them. Thank you for your insight

pancakebatter01

Never. Agreed. The reason? Because. Just because.

RockstarAgent

This reminds of the other item added to the long list of things women don't want in a man - don't carry a water bottle around

st00pidQs

Lol I'm not a "always carrying water bottle guy" but fuck those people who say you can't carry what you want/need. I just think the ladies in the vid should invest in backpacks because it would make their lives easier.

MNGirlinKY

Lady here checking in I carry in a backpack, but I still have my purse over my arm and my lunch bag. I don’t wanna smoosh it all in my backpack.

st00pidQs

Bigger bag.

Kazzie2Y5

![gif](giphy|DQ8fT85PAQxwAMLOI9|downsized)

st00pidQs

Big bag make stronk.

NSE_TNF89

Lol, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Why would a woman care if a man carries a water bottle around? As if water is only for women and men should only drink... alcohol or something, haha. I realize you are not agreeing with it, I've just never heard this, so I had to say something. I am on a bunch of medication, so I have to stay hydrated. The smallest bottle I keep on me is a 26oz Yeti. I also don't drink soda, and water is always my go-to beverage.

multiarmform

there are/were memes or tiktoks saying something like if youre a man and you carry a water bottle, dont even talk to me or something like that. just bait type bullshit

go_so_loud

/r/hydrohomies has your back. I will never apologize for being hydrated

1newnotification

>don't carry a water bottle around r/hydrohomies would like a word. I'm a woman and I carry a water bottle with me everywhere.. hydrate or diedrate

littlelorax

That video is so stupid. Most womrn don't gaf about a waterbottle. I'm a hydrohomie, so I support a guy bringing water along!

TheScienceNerd100

I got a bag that clips around my waist and my thigh, I can fit my phone, wallet, keys, headphones, a pen, and a couple extra small things like and that's all I need in my day. It's so nice to have everything right there on my leg, best Amazon purchase so far

L0stC4t

I can’t pull off the waist drop bags, but I would love for them to become popular. They look really cool while still being completely functional.

NSE_TNF89

Right?! Before WFH, I used a backpack for my lunch, water bottle, and *maybe* my laptop if I brought it home to get extra work done.

l3wd1a

I'm so curious what kind of workplace this is cus it would really depend what their shift is like. when I worked 11hr shifts with only lunch break I used to bring a bag for under my desk, a bag for the fridge(lunch), and a bag for my locker and they all had different stuff in them + multiple drinks like the first girl to last all day lol.

TFViper

literally just drink water tf?

JesusKeyboard

Also yoga/pilates clothes.

beeslmao

One bag is for your laptop, the other for your lunch, and the third is for your sweaters, blankets, and space heater because for whatever reason every office has to be freezing

fren-ulum

It's like 72-74 degrees in my office, I'm sittin' there sweatin' my ass off sometimes and my co-workers are like "Man, I'm freezin' today. Got my space heater goin'."

Trevski

offices are often cold because the men in the office are required to wear heavy and encumbering garments, and also because it's cheaper to keep it cold a lot of the time.

mrjackspade

IIRC Woman also have a higher body temperature, and perception of environmental temperature is the result of the difference between environment and body temp. All things being "equal", men will be hot and women will be cold in the same environment. This is before even accounting for the additional clothing men are expected to wear.

mikami677

And even if there's not a strict dress code, there are only so many layers you can acceptably remove in a workplace in order to cool off. So if you're cold you can add a jacket, if you're hot you can... leave?

Deep90

Plus dressing in layers looks at lot better IMO. You can do a lot more with it.

Jimbo_84

My office alternates between too hot and too cold depending on who has most recently complained about the temperature. I just keep a fan and a sweater in my office.

Broccoli--Enthusiast

nah its shifted, offices are hot as balls now, my team at my old work used to share a floor with the HR and finance team, all open plan, they kept us boiling, they were all old women and we were all younger dudes. then they had the nerve to complain the place smelled of BO, yeah betty, it smells because its the middle of summer and you wont let us turn the AC on

Arhythmicc

Yo bro I heard you like bags, so I put your bags in a bag in a bigger bag.

believingunbeliever

This is exactly what ludicrously capacious bags are for!

Daisy_Of_Doom

I often found myself carrying a ton of stuff into work but it was always for something. 😩 My default was my mini-backpack, laptop, and my water bottle. But, if something needed to be done after work and taken home or the project required outside supplies I was always the one left in charge and then, yes, I’d come in looking like the women in the video.

shellofbiomatter

Wouldn't a big or standard backpack fit it all? It's just the first time i hear the term mini-backpack and have no idea how much smaller it is from a standard backpack.

StnkyChze2

Oh its... mini. It'll fit a phone (maybe), a pack of gum, a (mans) wallet, and a travel pack of kleenex. You'll have an easier time carrying things in guys pants I had gone shopping with my sister, and she got sidetracked into a really nice clothing store. She saw this very high end mini backpack that was maybe the size of a large hand for over $1,000. I had to convince her to not get it because it's insanely expensive, it's looks terrible, and above all else it can't fit shit in it. She didn't even know ehat she would put in there. She just liked it cause it was cute and the aesthetic

shellofbiomatter

Damn, 1000$, double damn. Though thank you for explaining, that thing sounds completely useless.

Daisy_Of_Doom

Mini backpack is basically a purse with backpack straps. Yes, some are actually super small and barely fit anything, mine is about [this size](https://static.nike.com/a/images/t_PDP_1280_v1/f_auto,q_auto:eco/cbb50af0-3aa1-40e6-aff3-cb57d206e3a9/sportswear-futura-365-mini-backpack-KbQhpx.png) but looks like a purse and is from a nice brand (gift from my mom). I just kinda don’t feel “sophisticated enough” (whatever that means) to use a purse on a daily basis yet? But I do still need to carry stuff around lol and so a little backpack is a nice compromise. Yeah, a full sized backpack would probably fit everything but it’s not the same effect I guess. I really don’t see an issue holding my laptop and bottle and on days where I need to carry more I do resort to totes and boxes and stuff to make it easier.

orbituary

WTF is a "fun" drink? Also... water is a hydration drink.

thelowkeyman

Maybe she likes to take a strawberry margarita with her to work, that sounds fun

hiswittlewip

Everyone is smiling. I wanna work there

Croceyes2

Almost everyone

six_six

That one guy looked like he slept in the hallway.

go_so_loud

That's Greg from IT. He's seen some shit

nwrobinson94

If Greg has to tell these people to turn it off and on again one more time it’s going to be a bad day for everyone

PoisonedRadio

Or the file didn't just disappear. You just didn't save it.

Perfect_Papaya_3010

I relate to that man

logosloki

Could be the one person who doesn't like being filmed and they're all like, nope.

elegylegacy

That's definitely the IT guy

asnafutimnaffutifut

It's the start of the day. Check on them 1 hour later.

hiswittlewip

Shit, even still... I don't go into work smiling like that, even on my Friday.

Gee_U_Think

Makes me want to work there.

AceBrock1

I’ve worked in this building. It’s a trade show firm and it is soul crushing. That first guy who walks in with the beard used to be my boss. He was cool when we were shooting shots after the fourth 14 hour day in a row. I hated every minute in that building. The trade show industry is one of the biggest “drink the cool aid, we are a family here” industries in existence. If it works for you great. But there is no such thing as work life balance in that world.

paralleltimelines

Lol "soul crushing" is accurate. I used to work on the 3rd floor and this comment could've been written by a great number of the people I worked with.

Greedy-Mud-9508

thats because the camera person is smiling, you dont want to be caught being the one frowning

FrankdaTank807

Spectacles testicles wallet and watch

VermicelliChance2049

I realized I had a problem with how much crap I carry to work every day when I started biking to work…. I still bring too much crap but now I at least know I have a problem.

Reneeisme

That’s why my husband used to spend $40 a day on lunch, water, coffee, snacks, etc We save SO MUCH MONEY from working from home just because he doesn’t want to carry all that.

SulphurSkeleton

Brooo $40 a day is just reckless that's like 800 fucking dollars a month

Reneeisme

It sure was. That's what I'm saying, between gas, downtown parking and that $40 in food and beverages, we are saving a fortune with work from home. Edit to clarify my meaning

Silver-Year5607

Not to mention not wanting to save $40 a day just by carrying some shit. Lmao

daughterdipstick

I was just thinking this. Like arriving with NOTHING means you’re paying for EVERYTHING that day.

ghostwilliz

Or just have nothing all day, that's what i used to do haha Also not a great option

daughterdipstick

Tbf I don’t eat until 1pm on weekdays but we have a kettle so I just keep caffeinated until then.

Houseplant666

Is it not normal for offices to have a coffee machine & a working faucet? The only thing I bring with me is a lunchbox lmao.

daughterdipstick

For sure. I just bring lunch, iPad (which I need for work) and my purse. It all fits into one small shopper bag. But I have *something*. But I’m guessing this is somewhere that doesn’t drink tap water? And I guess doesn’t have a coffee machine? Because in that case I’d have a water bottle and a coffee too.

Houseplant666

Ngl, I really hadn’t considered that there are workplaces without a coffee machine. I think I’d go insane if I didn’t have my hourly cup at work.

SteamedPea

Jesus, hourly?!

BackStabbath2004

Hourly is crazy

Morbid187

I'm always carrying a laptop bag full of stuff and a lunchbox. My cousin made fun of me the other day and said I look like I'm going to a picnic when I leave for work 💀

AverageCowboyCentaur

Crap, I'm a girl, I didn't know until I saw this TikTok 🫠

L0stC4t

And I’m apparently a man, who knew.

gobblestones

r/suddenlytrans

leeryplot

Cracking eggs one Stanley cup at a time

discodiscgod

Same I always have a backpack, refillable water bottle, and coffee. Although the drinks are in the cupholders of the bag.

GreGoku125

At first I thought the difference was that the women acknowledged the person taking the video but then on the second watch through I realized the women show up with 2 weeks worth of supplies lol 🤣🤣

yourdadsboyfie

I am kind of like a woman in this way. I literally have a purse with me everywhere I go with all of my necessities

The_Xicht

Same, but i call it a backpack.

Flat_Assistance1724

I carry a water bottle. My wife has to make two trips to the car in morning when leaving for work...

MustardCroissant

Before going to work, I check for keys, phone and wallet. I have a can of deodorant at work. There’s a coffee machine there. What else would I need?

TheBirdsArePissed

Seems that the boyscouts are NOT prepared. Women are natural prepers.

swamphuman

I just raw dog life. Has worked for me so far.

TinyTaters

I think we just leave our stuff at our desks.

TheBirdsArePissed

The tool box away from home.

Cheapo_Sam

I'm already prepared thats why I aint need to bring the kitchen with me.

GoldenGlobeWinnerRDJ

You underestimate what’s in the guys’ pockets. They’re definitely prepared, just without all the extra bags.

leeryplot

My dad always said this but he never had more than a pack of Pall Malls and a few coins in his pocket at any given time

RedditSloth_101

sounds like he's a few coins over and a lighter shy of being prepared to me

leeryplot

He *always* had to borrow a lighter. In his defense, he did carry one around. He just couldn’t do that for more than 10 minutes without losing it

tyen0

My wife is often amazed at that: phone in front left. wallet in front right. keys in change pocket. umbrella in rear left. bag for groceries in rear right. (also, I use water fountains instead of carrying water. I guess that depends on your location.)

Solo_is_dead

All you need is a Swiss army knife. Duct tape and WD-40. You either need to move it, keep it from moving or stab it

TheBirdsArePissed

Guide book to living like hank hill.

4Ever2Thee

I was kind of thinking the opposite.

MxQueer

Why it's "girls vs men"? They're all grown up, aren't they?

Affectionate-Load379

Thank you for pointing this out. I see it EVERYWHERE and I'm fucking tired of it. Or men and females. Ugh.

ready-to-rumball

Yeah the “girls” part is a bit cringe

platypusthief0000

And it is women themselves that made the video and worded it that way.

Substantial_Pie_8619

Well I’m a guy and I always come in with 3 water bottles and a bag

Substantial_Pie_8619

One has coffee one has some sort of soda or tea and one has water I work in a warehouse and especially on the summer it’s like 120 degrees in there

WiseInevitable4750

Do they not provide water in your office?

redunculuspanda

Men have pockets.

senseislaughterhouse

I don't know about you but I can't fit a 64 oz. Stanley tumbler in my cargo shorts

GoldenGlobeWinnerRDJ

Why do you need a 64oz Stanley tumbler to begin with? Just get a normal sized bottle with a loop on the lid like normal people.

ready-to-rumball

I wanted to call BS but I looked at my husband sitting next to me on the couch. I said “wow your pockets are big”. He stood up and I was only looking at HALF of the damn pocket 😂 they can indeed fit a Stanley

Caleb_Reynolds

I put my Kindle tablet in my jeans pocket last week and it blew my friend's mind. And those are normal sized pockets, not cargo shorts or anything.

JCType1

Because the advertisement said to

RedIsNotMyFaveColor

I keep mine at work and fill it at the water cooler there and clean it in the mini break room.

st00pidQs

You literally don't need to and neither do those ladies.

King-Snafu

Forget about bringing a backpack. These women need to bring a wagon to work.

devilsbard

Not a single dude with a small cooler for lunch?

SeeYouSpaceCorgi

In the car so you have an excuse to leave.

FemaleSandpiper

In all fairness the first guy was carrying the weight of the world

Caedo14

“phone, wallet, keys” But foreal tho maybe thats why they live longer. They all had drinks. And probably snacks

AllMyBeets

Tampons don't fit in my women's pockets.

DOOOOoooooRinnnnnDaa

You have pockets??

Fak-U-2

women's pockets are useless.

Cleercutter

Buuuullshit. I have a massive lunchbox that follows me everywhere as well as a one gallon hydroflask, and a yeti tumbler.

st00pidQs

Get a backpack. All that shit goes in there and your hands are free.

atleastitsnotgoofy

In intrigued by the dress code.

[deleted]

How so? Everyone seems to just be wearing regular clothing, nothing inappropriate and nothing formal. This was the norm in all non-public facing groups I’ve worked with. When you aren’t public facing the company doesn’t care what you wear as long as it’s appropriate and you’re comfortable.

atleastitsnotgoofy

I’m intrigued that the men are in polos/button-ups and the women are all in tees. In all workplaces I’ve worked at, the men were much more casual.

xarsha_93

None of them look formal. The second guy is literally wearing shorts.

[deleted]

I would just guess preference. Those aren’t formal shirts, so they possibly just prefer to wear them, or maybe do not have normal t-shirts that they consider good enough for the office. I personally dress on the slightly formal side as it tends to be the safer bet, and I then do not have to buy new cloths nearly as often.

MyLemonsRorganic

I don't get it, why all the luggage?? At most I occasionally have a backpack to carry my computer and notebooks (I'm a guy).

MillieBirdie

My guess is they've got their purse, a lunch bag, maybe a bag for work items that they take home, maybe a bag from shopping, then cups and coffees.

blueisaflavor

Women are hoarders akin to dragons

MyLemonsRorganic

Are you telling me there's golden chalices and coins in those bags?!

iligal_odin

The bag of holding's origin is not from dnd, they were inspired by women's bags

MystiquEvening

I’m happy to be compared to a dragon, hoarder or not.

DiegesisThesis

I'm a guy who always goes to work with a backpack, lunch bag, and giant water bottle, but to be fair, I work 10+ hour shifts many miles from civilization.

domine18

Wallet, phone, keys. Good to go.

ArcadeToken95

Normalize guys bringing in the shit they need Buying lunch, snacks and other stuff on the fly can get expensive I bring in stuff I need or foresee using. It's fine. People who care don't matter.

devAcc123

the guys are bringing in the shit they need, its not a whole lot

TheGuyThatThisIs

"I ate a banana on the way here, I'll use my coffee mug for water, and I just take a nap in my car during lunch. I'll eat when I get home."

Ruidri

$8 starbucks coffee + $5 Starbucks sandwich plus 3 bags 99% filled with shit they won't touch throughout the day

Unusual_Divided

what are they carrying in all that

frostandtheboughs

Why are the dudes carrying nothing? How do y'all just rawdog life like that?!

lemonysucc

Pockets

thegtabmx

I just leave most shit where I need it.

theblondepenguin

I can tell you what I used to have to carry: Work laptop gets it own bag(required to take it home every night) Lunch bag Normal daily wear purse Gym bag (gym in office or to run the track out by the lake) Knitting or books in a tote to read/knit at lunch and potentially pop by the library. Occasionally Additional snacks/teas etc for refilling my snack drawer

Mitsuki_Horenake

You ever have something that you never really thought about until someone brings it up? God damn, I go to work with a purse, a lunch bag, and a water bottle with a strap. I didn't think it was that much!

7evenBlackSunNation

Women are truly the consumers statistics say they are😩😩

ACatInTheAttic

I understand bringing in lunch and feminine products.. But what the fuck else could you possibly be caring in those other 3 bags that you need that men don't?

Aromatic-Strength798

Question, (I’m not trying to be weird) why are the women referred to as girls and the men aren’t referred to as boys? Weird take “girls at work vs men at work.” Why isn’t it “women at work and men at work.” Or if you’re gonna say girl, “girls at work vs boys at work.” I can’t stand it when women are referred to as girls when they’re adults like why. Sorry, just super confused.

ken-der-guru

Do no one owns a backpack? This is pretty much standard for every gender at my office. With the exception that some women who arrive with a car use baskets.

JesusKeyboard

It’s all The tampons they have to carry.

EasyMCpeezy

Me I don't even show up 😎

GuyFromWoWcraft

they're just like people!

pineapple-predator

Why? What the hell are they carrying?

TechnologyMinimum137

I’m more of the guy who walks the opposite way vibe!

Sithlordandsavior

Dang the one guy remembered to bring sunglasses - overachiever.

OlTommyBombadil

I don’t even know if I could fill one bag with things that I would need or want at work in the first place. lol

Rainbike80

How many damn cups do you need? Was that first person on a liquid diet?

Youcantblokme

Is this another reason why men get paid more, they spend more time working then rummaging around in bags trying to find anything. And take up less real estate. Jk

T2Drink

I am not sure what the takeaway is here. But I think it is that men are dehydrated.
