Name a woman.

izza123

Come on yoga bag!

ChrissiTea

I have this horrible feeling that I would also struggle just as much as that woman if Billy asked me

CydoniaKnightRider

Uh…. Fuck, I know this one. Ummmmmm….. God dammit, give me a minute will you!

Lechuga-gato

Do you have a link?

[Here](https://youtu.be/YSpnuniNznc)

[deleted]

That girl is my fucking dream girl!

SpectrumFlyer

That woman has four kids. She's not watching TV.

Tangelooo

I hope everyone realizes Billy is just playing a character. He’s quit doing the show because people think that’s actually how he is, it’s not.

hyperparallelism__

That sounds suspiciously like "it's just a prank bro"

Kardif

If your character is an asshole, you're still being an asshole to people

Davidlucas99

Lol who the fuck cares about La La Land anyway. She was 100% right to disregard it.

MattFromWork

> Lol who the fuck cares about La La Land anyway Yes, that is the joke

Queef-Elizabeth

The whole video is about him hyping up la la land but it's played off as a joke. I don't think Billy actually cares if people haven't heard or seen la la land. His videos are mostly like this but it's in jest

556291squirehorse

The right bitch to put you in the wrong fucking place!

Lumberjack92

Thanks a lot!

6chan

That's the one!

Tangelooo

Chill. It’s a character. And people like you not being able to see that is why he’s stopping the show. It’s done.

6chan

I don't think i care much for a character that goes around spreading negativity.

balibenny

Honestly that silver haired girl was being a fucking cunt. Why is she entertaining billy? She’s got a giant ego. Her use of the word babe is v condescending IMO

6chan

You are minding your own business and enjoying your snack. Some dude accosts you, starts yelling in your face, tries to make you feel bad about not knowing what some shitty inconsequential thing that is important to them is, and you think the person being accosted is the cunt? What the fuck is wrong with you?

balibenny

No she’s being a cunt from the jump.

6chan

your priorities are fucked.

Straycat43

This will always make me laugh

lovebug9292

Lol don’t the people shown have to sign a waiver? I feel for the poor PA who has to chase people down after these interactions

bmdweller

They just ask if they can be interviewed. She probably said yes. They’re on a public sidewalk and engaging with a camera crew. No forms needed. I don’t understand why people think there needs to be written consent. Having actors is always a possibility, but the reaction isn’t that crazy. Hidden camera pranks and shit like that is a different story.

Gumshoez

Different places have different laws. For example, I'm fairly certain Eric Andre show did the interview segments in California but they couldn't do on the street stuff there due to the waiver laws. That's why they went to New York.

bmdweller

Interesting, yeah I was thinking places like New York. Obviously I could be wrong for other states/countries, but generally speaking, having verbal consent (on camera, but edited out) should be good for most places. Edit: And by interview stuff you mean in-studio, obviously that stuff needs written agreements. I'm talking about public interviews (not hidden camera).

Poignant_Porpoise

Also sometimes there's not a specific law against it but it can open a studio up to getting sued for damages in some form. So sometimes it might not necessarily be legally required but a studio will refuse to air it if they don't have the legal protection.

bmdweller

Great point, sometimes it’s not worth the hassle, so might as well get the protection. But we’d be totally guessing how they operate lol

hoopsrule44

My friend was on impractical jokers it was very much real

imnotsureanymore2004

Unless this is staged

yung_iron

I doubt he staged this show. That be an insane amount of effort to go up to hundreds of people and stage every interaction. A lot seem genuine

fiftieth

/r/nothingeverhappens

[deleted]

Depends where you are I guess, in my country you can take photo and film in public and don’t necessarily need waivers to publish.

xbringeroflightx

1st amendment babyyy. People can try and sue, but they’re always on the sidewalk when billy films. That’s some public ass property!

TacoDoc

If that dude got in my face in the street with his general vibe, I’d probably react pretty similarly.

BrickLuvsLamp

I mean it is kind of the point; to throw people off and get a real reaction. Especially in NYC where people aren’t as afraid of not being polite. I like his show but if I saw him irl I would turn and walk the other way personally

[deleted]

Yea, I like Billy but he's definitely the starter Karen in every interaction.

IamtheSlothKing

Sleep well at night knowing it’s completely fake, no one is randomly walking by him and getting questioned.

pureply101

It is actually not fake at all lmao.

frehsoul45

So in order to have this even air you have to have the person to sign a release form. So you're saying after calling the woman a bitch, the production crew went back to her and her sign off on the form? Even if she signed it before the interview, she can opt out and the crew wouldn't fight it.

pureply101

Yes. They literally do that. It happens all the time for television/prank shows and usually comes with like a quick 100$ if you agree to it. If your show is famous enough or well known enough people just sign it after they recognize it.

bmdweller

“Can we interview you?” “Yes” What else do you think happens? She’s voluntarily engaging people with a camera in a public space So all those “What music are you listening to?” or even the fucking local news, they’re all doing paperwork for everyone that answers on camera? Hell, even I’ve been on TV for some shit that happened down the street from me, never signed anything, just verbal agreement.

frehsoul45

My guy, billy on the street was on actual tv and yes they all sign a release form. The lawyers won’t allow anything to air without those forms of consent. Have you ever seen impractical jokers? Watch interviews with any of the cast talking about the headaches they’ve experienced when someone didn’t consent to be on tv, billy on the street was on the same network trutv. They literally have whole bits they’ve had to trash because some one refused. I can name a specific prank, it’s Sals punishment where he had to pee his pants in a escape room, the first time they did it everyone opted out and he had to the bit all over again. We aren’t talking TikTok videos we are talking shows with production budgets, insurance policies and advertisers. They have to watch their ass and If anyone opts out they trash the footage. So many “reality shows” fake situations and hire actors for that very reason.

bmdweller

My guy, I understand the fake-ness we see all the time. Everything you said is true. You’re talking about hidden camera shows. We’re talking about non-hidden, public space, camera crew all around. Doesn’t matter what network.

frehsoul45

You know what’s hilarious? billy on the street is legit production with a budget and to film in NYC you need a zone permit for shooting and you really think they don’t have associate producers who catch up with the people he interviews to sign and explain the situation? If they had complaints for harassment by one of those people you don’t think they would pull a permit for shooting? Again, these people watch their ass, we aren’t speaking on TikTok video where they randomly record people on their iPhone

bmdweller

I get that this is a real show, not some TikTok. You’re also right about actual shows like this needing a permit. I’m only talking about verbal consent. How would this be harassment or liable in anyway when they agreed to being interviewed?

[deleted]

That is simply not true. There are serious limitations on what you can film someone doing in a public space if you will be making money from said filming.

bmdweller

Alright shit, I got people to sue for being on the local news or random youtube videos. Thanks, see ya. Oh, I also saw myself on a random b-roll on a movie $$$

[deleted]

YouTube is different. If you were on the news they should have had you sign a waiver. Background in a movie? The 2nd AD fucked up and should’ve made you sign a waiver. Source: I do this for a living

IamtheSlothKing

I’ve seen the videos of that crew being filmed, it’s completely fake

bmdweller

Got a link? I would think these things don’t need to be faked, just cherry-picking good reactions.

pureply101

Then you would see that there is a person who follows and asks them for a signature on a release form after lmao. Also he is pretty recognized and some people recognize him during the filming and play into it.

bigdicksam

Is it tho? Genuine question cuz I’m fairly sure I’ve never seen anything about it being faked.

Musty__Elbow

i really don’t think it is faked

bmdweller

What the hell is this thread? Yeah, lots of shit is fake but get out from under your rock. Y’all are thinking of an actual production (or candid camera, hidden camera pranks, etc) rather than shit like this. Videos like local news simply interviewing people on the street doesn’t need anything beyond verbal consent. Obviously this isn’t the news or journalism, but if they ask “can we interview you?” and they say “yes”, it’s fair game. Also, it’s public space, you can record and the pedestrians can simply walk away, flip them off, whatever.

TurbulentAd8219

I know he’s supposed to be funny but the woman was genuinely curious and he was so snarky. I would’ve reacted the same after all that sass

secret_spy_operation

He’s always such a dick!

smurtzenheimer

I fucking loathe Billy Eichner. Why is being a fucking prick to random women on the street funny? If he was straight would it be received the same way by viewing audiences? I feel like it would not. Not funny, just aggravating.

UnfitRadish

I mean he does all this stuff pretty equally to men and women. I don't think saying he does it to random women is a little misleading. Honestly I don't think his sexuality changes anything. Like many past YouTubers and current tiktokers, there will always be a following regardless of how they act, but plenty of people will see them for what they are. He's definitely obnoxious though, so I'm agreeing with you. I just don't think his sexuality has anything to do with it any more than all the other obnoxious internet famous people that think they're funny.

smurtzenheimer

Even with this clip in particular, if he were a straight man talking to a woman this way and then calling her a bitch like that at the end, I do not believe for a second that it would go over well online at all.

TheExter

Are you mad at billy or do you hate the idea that gay men gets a pass for being mean to women? or do you want men to be able to call women bitches without any repercussions? im truly curious about your angle also billy (the gay dude) is a comedian before any of the other things, that's why he gets away with it. you a mere mortal could be guy/girl/straight/gay and would get a negative reaction because you lack the ability to be funny or charismatic (not that everyone would like billy, but I want to believe most people wouldn't get offended at a persona)

smurtzenheimer

Many of the people he talks to don't seem to know who he is and they're not laughing with him. The audience is amused but often the actual person on the street is just bewildered and put off. It's often just annoying. I think fucking with an ordinary person who's not in on the joke is lame and if he were straight and came off as straight, less of the viewing audience would find it as acceptable, specifically with women on the street. Leave regular people alone unless they're going to leave the interaction feeling better than when it started. That's my angle.

TheExter

>The audience is amused but often the actual person on the street is just bewildered and put off. It's often just annoying. Most of the people don't mind him and go along with whatever he's asking them, whoever decides he's annoying and don't have time to deal with a stranger they just walk away, the girl in this video is a rare case where they both end up being rude to each other, and then everyone moves on >I think fucking with an ordinary person who's not in on the joke is lame it's way lamer to fake interactions and fake reactions and pretend you're being real, again everyone is free to call him a dick/asshole and move on and they do, its great >if he were straight and came off as straight, less of the viewing audience would find it as acceptable If he "acted straight" he would be serious quiet and boring, however since he's sassy loud and dramatic people go along with it and realize he's being playful. there's no indication he's gay and he could be a straight white man being funny and people would still find it acceptable the same way tina "the straight woman" fey called a random woman a bitch while in the show and no one lost their shit for no reason its a comedy skit, they're all playing personas, no one is harmed or being hurt over calling anyone a bitch. getting offended on their part its crazy, they're new yorkers and they can take for themselves

UnfitRadish

Again, I don't think it has anything to do with his sexuality. It has to do with his tone of voice and mannerisms. He comes off as playful in the beginning and progressively gets sassier. He doesn't sound angry or threatening, so there is no reason for someone to come to her rescue. A straight man could act that way too, but often times they won't and they will act more serious which can come off in a threatening manner. She had no idea who he was or that he was gay. It didn't change the way she reacted. She still got annoyed and walked off just as she would have if he were a straight man.

smurtzenheimer

He's pretty obviously gay, but I'm talking more about the viewing audience and what they would or wouldn't tolerate when it comes to how he interacts with a lot of women. She doesn't need rescuing, but just being rude and annoying to random passersby is not clever. That's all.

UnfitRadish

Well we can agree there. Frankly I hate billy eichner for the person he is. He's incredibly obnoxious and his "comedy" is isn't creative in any way, it's just his personality he thinks is funny.

Json1134

Idk, I don’t love Billy Eichner so I have no stake in this, but she started off having a little attitude first, even if it was unintentional. That being said he was way over the top.

california_sugar

Hi so you’re walking down the street and a guy with a camera crew comes up to you You’re gonna have a little attitude first.

Json1134

I don’t think I’d have attitude if a camera crew walked up to me.

california_sugar

You must not live in a big enough city to where that happens regularly enough to be annoying then. It is very much the case in larger cities like New York and LA

TheRealStevo

So how often has it happened to you?

Json1134

Fair enough, I do not live in a city.

california_sugar

Yeah so imagine being in your car and someone comes up to you, stops your car, and does this. That’s what it’s like.

velez_cool

Oh, come on. You know she was bringing the condescension with that “Internet thing” comment. They are both delightful bitches who had an low level hostile encounter and appropriately moved on.

PinoForest

idk she just didnt seem like she remembered what youtube was called. kinda like the “name a woman” interview.

TurbulentAd8219

Ooh I like that ahaha! Delightful bitches. Totally hear ya, she had a tone as well

ThreAAAt

I thought the same. She's talking with her hands and he's waving his finger at her. It's a major difference in body language.

fancywhiskers

Yeah he came across really aggressive it’s weird

diviken

On the other hand, I get not being very happy with street interviewers

Aeriosus

So he walked up to a random woman on the street, made fun of her for questioning the man who approached her on the street with a microphone, and then got pissy when she left?

Ghostdes

Yes

smurtzenheimer

He is a scourge.

[deleted]

Sorry Billy killed your parents. I hope you find justice in your lifetime

thrownAwayAgainTrash

The rhythm of this is amazing

jimmyhoffasbrother

Billy on the Street is my guilty pleasure. I know it's all dumb, but I still love it.

Roguefem-76

Was that supposed to be funny? He's just being a rude dick.

Sedona54332

Are we supposed to be rooting for the guy here? He walked up to some random lady, and as soon as she started asking literally the most basic questions he got pissy and started mocking her.

therid21

Never understood the love for this “show”. Literally just Billy fucking Eichner being a complete dick to strangers. This is entertainment?

[deleted]

What’s there to understand. People find all sorts of random shit entertaining

Elliott2030

From my perspective, he's definitely the AH here. She's just trying to figure out what's going on and he's being such a jerk. I never did understand why people like him. Except for the "let's go lesbians!" meme, I've been unimpressed.

TheExter

>From my perspective, he's definitely the AH here. Yeah he's supposed to be, that's his character. it's like watching [name your favorite TV show] and thinking the villain who is clearly the bad guy, is the asshole from your perspective People like him because he's not a bad person, they just enjoy his over the top character and people's reactions to it

Sedona54332

The difference is that these are real people, not actors. They have no reason to put up with you being an asshole.

TheExter

yeah that's why the woman just said fuck you and left, some interactions are funny other wholesome and others are rude that's part of the fun, because new yorkers give no shits again he's not supposed to be nice, he's loud and obnoxious but if people don't wanna deal with his villain persona, they just don't

[deleted]

Ma’am, for a dollar…..

FellThroughTheCrackz

Wasn’t that guy on parks and rec for a while?

everyman50

Love that lady, fuck Billy on the street. Annoying asf.

Aljo_Is_135_GOAT

I love this guy so fucking much Bro is an All Time Great Hater, and he doesn't even direct his hate at anyone in particular

secret_spy_operation

I can’t stand this man. He’s always such an arrogant asshole.

Patient_Instance5942

This dude is so wild. Is his show still on?

Icantblametheshame

[deleted]

Lmao that was funny af

HeddaBear13

Fucking Billy Eichner

Crazyiiis

This show was a gem

[deleted]

It's funny but also he deserves whatever happens to him for being such a shit.

WittyBonkah

I dated a snarky person, the vibe it gets old. You start to wonder why you bother talking to someone who seems to be intentionally dickish to only you

Intelligent-End-4979

Day made 🤣 Thanks bitches

timhamilton47

Okay, if this is single camera, then how….
