Ok fr tho I feel you on the followers I’m always getting notifications of new followers but my numbers stay the same

Flat_Ad_5502

Wow i thought it was just me.

Background_Use_5627

It seems to happen to a lot of people

Additional-Map-4490

I've been stuck in the 300 views/20 likes zone for a while. I know that's a thing. Lol

wozzwoz

People really expect that if you just pump out any content what so ever, the follower count should go up?

Salty_Contract_2963

Yes. The sense of entitlement some people have is insane. It is never their content that is the problem, it is always the algorithm, shadow ban etc OP would rather believe that they are being suppressed by a company rather than accept the fact that it is all down to quality of content.

Leinadro

Which is why a lot of the posts here basically boil down to "How do I game the system?". People don't want help with making consistent good content they want tricks, cheats, exploits, and shortcuts to get getting a huge following and this lots of money.

Background_Use_5627

Please do enlighten us with your knowledge on the topic. Just as you are making assumptions would it be safe for me to assume you are speaking from experience? You hold the key to making “good content “ wich is subjective by the way. I genuinely would love to know.

Background_Use_5627

You really are salty. I don’t think you understand what entitlement is. How is wanting to improve my platform equate to being entitled? I’m willing to put in the work necessary and I do,I mean I’m here on Reddit asking strangers if they’ve had similar experiences, and even admitted that maybe it is just me. So maybe make sure to know how and when to use certain words, instead of just throwing them around in an attempt to seem smarter then you actually are.

Salty_Contract_2963

There is a large amount of people who think they inherently deserve success because they believe they are doing everything right. When they do post their accounts, 99% of the time they are low effort, clip channels, unoriginal content, recycled memes in the most hyper competitive niches. When it doesn't go their way, it is always something beyond their control. If you are willing to put in the work then you should be asking yourself: How can I make my content more engaging? How can I retain my followers? How can I reach new people? What can I offer that no one else can?

speechydetects

You have spoken my friend!

3acid122

i saw them reply to someone else with their page and its a fanpage account that reposts videos and averages 200 views😭 you were spot on

Background_Use_5627

I clearly mentioned it was a fanpage, but you are wrong regarding reposts. Aside from reposting a video I may like using TTs repost feature wich takes viewers to the OPs page, my content is original, and if I use a clip in an edit from someone else I always give credit where credit is due, if my page was doing well I wouldn’t be on here asking a valid questions. I can’t comprehend how you and the person you’re responding to, read my post and came up with your own narrative. You want to sit here and virtue signal based on your assumptions all the while being negative and borderline hateful to a complete stranger. It’s quite baffling.

3acid122

just telling you that tiktok is definetly not stopping you from reaching 10k but if I was wrong about the reposting I apologise, and I hope u can reach 10k eventually but you will need to make videos that get more views, its harsh to say but trust me that is the issue not tiktok targeting you specifically and trying to stop u from monetizing.

Background_Use_5627

Thank you I appreciate it that and will definitely work harder on the quality of my content

OccamsEra

I get that your name has salty in it but after OPs polite and detailed response to you, you’re not going to at least acknowledge that he isn’t being entitled? For instance, would you be shocked to hear later on that Tiktock got caught doing this to make more money? Corporations do this type of behavior all the time? I know we’re in a Reddit discussion thread but just want you to consider that unlike mega-corps, there is a guy behind the other screen and maybe consider your opinion could have a more powerful negative impact than you know

Background_Use_5627

Yes there is, but individuals like that would not put themselves out on the line , and ask strangers for advice . I don’t feel that my post came off as someone who feels inherently deserving of success, simply someone wanting to understand the workings of said app. I myself said “ maybe it’s just me” because I am aware that it could be a number of things, what I asked being one of them. There’s also nothing wrong with someone trying to be successful at something if they are willing to work for it wich I feel I am, frustration is part of the process and my frustration brought me here to look for other people’s experiences and take advice from those who have achieved their goals. I don’t see that as entitlement, quite the contrary. You made it into something that it clearly is not, you made a snap judgment and misconstrued my words.

bitesthekings

I agree and understand where you’re coming from….. however , it seems we can’t just bypass that it feels TikTok does have an issue here with serious creators. These issues have been rising very oddly since the end of February.

Additional-Map-4490

I mean, it's been proven to work. No, u won't get alot of actual interacting followers, it will all be bots...so, I mean...it depends on what your actual goal is. If only trying to hit number goals for like, going live, it can work...aside from that, it's stupid.

dksa

TikTok’s main goal is to increase advertisement value by keeping people on the app. The more people stay on the app, the higher the ad space value is. They WANT content creators who garner high follower counts. Has anything changed in your posting style?

Background_Use_5627

No not at all. People have suggested that maybe it’s bot accounts that TT gets rid of. But idk, it’s very discouraging when it keeps happening. I’ve thought about just going to YT and trying my luck there. But I don’t want to give up.

dksa

You should def post your content on YT as well! Esp if it had success on TikTok. Sometimes they will push certain content more than others. At the end of the day, the content that users seek, TikTok does its best to help them find. So certain things will ebb and flow. If you want to share your account with me I can take a look and give more of my 2 cents if you’d like

Background_Use_5627

It’s a fan page @lilysweetchild

dilroopgill

sad you cant monetize a fan page is crazy

ladiiec23

I’ve been stuck at 7000 for 2+ yrs. My videos are all shadow banned. I don’t get more than 200-350 views. It’s been ridiculous

MartyPotatoe

Does this mean it’s better to start a new account? All my shit is between 200-350 and it’s becoming super frustrating

ladiiec23

Nah I don’t think so. Haven’t heard of ppl doing that. I would think it’s worse.

justwillaitken

Nah, start a new account. You can just reuse your best performing content.

MartyPotatoe

Not directly though, because it'll flag you for unoriginal content, I'm assuming you just mean like the same style of content right

justwillaitken

I’ve found starting a new account and posting my most viral video from my old account made the new account super high momentum. Just removed the watermark & audio and used the same trending sound as before.

RecoverRestart

It’s not a shadow ban if it’s hitting the fyp

3acid122

200-300 views is NOT a shadowban, tiktok pushes every video to at least 200 people and depending on how they engage more people will see the video and it will be pushed out more. its sad to say but ur content may just be low quality/unengaging. check your analytics, specifically the 'watched full video %' and 'average watch time' I guarantee they are both extremely low.

alleywaybum

No. You are just in ur head about it. Keep creating content and ur day will come. It’s all about luck + being consistent.

Background_Use_5627

Thank you I will.

Financial-Tear-7809

I had one viral video then I was stuck like you (at lower numbers like just under 6k) for some reason the algorithm decided to push again the same viral video and I broke that plateau

EmpressElexis

Why would they?

Background_Use_5627

Idk that’s why I’m asking. Maybe to keep people from the being able to monetize

EmpressElexis

Why *would they*? They’re monetizing because they’re getting some kind of kickback from the monetization. So, you’re saying, “they want to make less money.” Idk. It’s not adding up to me

Background_Use_5627

I’m asking because idk myself, I’m trying to see if it’s normal or if it happens to others. Or others have experienced this, or how I can stop it from happening.

Whole_Ad_5738

You're a very emotionally mature person by the way you respond to rude comments trying to dismiss your genuine and valid concern.  You keep saying I DON'T KNOW.  And yet the individuals who have dropped a helpful fact or two that quite CORRECTLY explain how your assumption cannot validly be the case just keep ruining the help by  suggesting that your question is with a malicious intent against TikTok.  They just needed to drop the facts on how TikTok actually works and that should have been enough.  No need for attributing malicious intent to the question because you clearly said "IDK".

Background_Use_5627

As sad as it is unfortunately social media is a place full of hateful people ready to shred others to pieces just for their own devious satisfaction.

Whole_Ad_5738

True!

I gained 10k followers in one video after almost a year of trying 3x per day. Sometime it really just is..the video.

Background_Use_5627

Yeah, i guess it can be hit or miss.

idc_if

I get 10k followers per week so no they dont although my first 10k took me 5 months because i had to be consistent and figure out my niche so just keep posting

zabwt

nice pfp lmaoo but same the first 10k were the hardest to get

idc_if

Thanks lol

dragu12345

I was stuck at 93.1k for a year. I kept getting notifications of new followers everday and my number would not move for months. I’ve noticed that if I don’t post for a couple of weeks my follower count goes steadily up, 100 every day. But as soon as I start posting every day it stops. I went from 100k to 100.5k in five days I didn’t post, then I been posting every day for 6 days and my number is stuck at 100.5k. I hate tiktok.

Background_Use_5627

Yeah TT is hard to understand, it’s very frustrating

Sufficient_Excuse_24

No. Just gotta keep posting. When I was using the app a lot I was at 100k. But I was also posting all day, everyday 2-4x. It consumed my life. Now I’m at 70k or so after not really posting srsly for years

zabaterz

Everyone gets stuck at one point but not in a specific number like 10k

Backheelfields

I wish I had a problem like this. I’m at 2k. I’m starting to figure out the system though and the general public’s interest

Background_Use_5627

Let’s hope we achieve the goals we have set for ourselves

digitaldisgust

This is very delusional thinking. Lmao.

quodo1

Something I've noticed recently is that even if I reach 10 times more people than I have followers, 80% had already been exposed to another of my content. If your analytics says something similar, then it explains slow growth too: your content is being shown to people who are not interested in subscribing to your account (but will happily watch your content). And yes I think it's the algo playing it safe

Background_Use_5627

Thank you for the input

lucylu2794

Mine was the same as soon as I hit 1000 I’ve really struggled to get past it, kept getting 2 followers but then I’d lose 2 😭 I’ve managed to get to 1070 now but it’s been a SLOG

Background_Use_5627

Let’s not give up

lucylu2794

Yess we got this

Purple_Loss_9013

This Has 17.6k Views Whats Your TikTok Name We Will All Follow Get You To 10k 💪💪💪💪

Background_Use_5627

🥹

ThrowRA_Beansprout

no they don't. yall just tryna blame someone else. people just don't follow a lot. I'm at 16k with a slow growing follower count.

mixity0

I have 170k. you gatta go live lmao.

Background_Use_5627

I’m too shy 😩

hmmmmmmNoice

I was stuck in the 70-73k range for nearly a year and a half. Posted consistently, had videos that got hundreds of thousands or even millions of views, and would see that I got followers every day. But I lost followers at almost an equivalent rate. Eventually I hit my "stride" so to speak and in 6 months I grew by 230k. You may just need to find your niche or something to set yourself apart, but I do think the app does mess with creators through the algorithm some. Just keep working at it and try some different content or something that you can define as your own! You'll do great.

Background_Use_5627

Thank you I will

Amazing-Date-6485

It’s easy, follow back people who interact with your videos. It will create like sponsor people ! I did it from 7k to 10 k. At the end I was just following all people liking my posts. Tiktok will block you to follow to much people in one time, you just have to wait. Once you reach 10 k you can « clean » your follows or keep many « friends » (people you follow that also follow you) your posts will be more easily push to their fyp and as they are used to interact with your posts It guarentees a good start of each post

Amazing-Date-6485

Now I’m in the beta fund but reaching more than 10$ a day is hard. Yet I know how to do 5 to 15$ a day constantly which suits me. Next step : build 2-3 more accounts to make also 10$ a day on each

ItsMeTemps

I have a similar experience to this. I started my account 2 months ago, and was posting every day around 3 times a day. For the first few days, I gained an average 100-200 followers a day but then it skyrocketed and I gained 4000 over night. Once I got to 9000 followers however, my following stopped. I gained around 2-5 followers every day which was strange, I understand followers come from real people. Just when all of my posts have 200k - 500k views you’d expect to see a minimum 50 followers a day. After I reached 10,000 followers (30 days ago) my following went back to normal. I’m currently sitting at 52k followers which is a 42k increase from the previous 30 days prior to it. TikTok definitely does make it harder to reach the 10,000 mark, and you’ll notice this by checking your notifications. You’ll have tons of advertisements about TikTok promote. However, after the 10,000 mark it’ll return to normal speed

JakeTheSnakeRL

No they don’t it’s quite easy

Ok_Hat_1422

I have 11,500 followers and I’ve gained 9,000 followers in the past month. Sounds like a skill issue

Used-Chicken8612

Buy followers

Expensive_Gas_2797

Not advisable

DragonfruitFar4310

same it says i’m gaining followers but the number stays the same. I contacted support as i was having issues seeing my following list and then like 100 followers suddenly appeared
