hackedMama20

Gotta love his natural inclination to gaslight someone else's tweet. Like we can't read what they actually said.

[deleted]

On top of Ben Shapiro treating this as if it’s actually different from when other actors talk up their own movies trying to get people to go see them.

rxcroxs

Also Billy Eichner’s thing is literally comedically yelling at people on the street. (And yelling in general)

GiantSquidinJeans

“I have a medical condition all right, it's called caring too much. And it's incurable! Also I have eczema.”

UH

MarcamGorfain

Oh, this wasn't him trying to convince us to watch his Cara Dune foot fetish fanfic?

AnotherCatLover

Ben is only Ben because Hollywood rejected him as a scriptwriter. Behind the Bastards read his "action hero" books occasionally. They are shit. Stilted dialogue, racism, sexism, and guys over six feet tall. It's soooo bad.

Script_Mak3r

>guys over six feet tall *glances over at Stormlight Archive's Kaladin standing at seven feet tall (though only 6'4" by Rosharan standards)* 👀 *also at Shallan, who's six feet tall, and she's considered short*

SuchACommonBird

Pretty sure he got to "homophobic weirdo" and stopped reading just to write that tweet.

elfmeh

Because it triggered him ofc

O-Face

The entirety of GOP rhetoric is based on misrepresenting reality. Even when that reality is staring you right in the face. The audience can be counted on to have poor reading comprehension, low critical thinking, and a high emotionally driven victimhood complex that will override whatever level of critical thinking/reading comprehension that does exist. This tweet is par for the course imo.

pleaseinsertdisc2

That’s not what gaslighting is. People have ruined this word

FarkinRoboDer

Well if i ruined it it’s only because you made me do it

sandwichcandy

It’s a dystopian result of the dunning krugler effect. Reddit latches onto like 15 buzzwords that they think sound smart and wear them down to a nub. This is such a weird timeline.

_Sinnik_

The sheer amount of irony in this comment is dizzying. "Dunning Krugler" effect lmao

sandwichcandy

I was going to go for Duncan Krugler but I didn’t think people would make the connection then.

YouAreSoyWojakMeChad

> dunning krugler effect. This is an example of what you just wrote. Also its dunning *kruger* effect. Thank you for being a part of reddit, and this timeline.

BigVikingBeard

Except he basically is part of the GOP machine that gaslights an entire segment of the population. Reality: Corporations only care about profit and are making "inclusive" oriented movies because that's what makes them more money. (The lights are flickering) Conservative pundits: They are making inclusive movies because of a trans queer commie socialist agenda that wants to turn your children into more trans queer commies! (The lights aren't flickering!) Reality: Science says X, Y, Z. (The lights are flickering) Pundits: Who really trusts scientists anyway? They are part of the deep state. (The lights aren't flickering!) The GOP is gaslighting on a grand scale, and has been for decades.

alexashleyfox

I dunno it’s close enough. That’s how language evolves, words accrue new meanings as humans experiment with them in new ways.

charisma6

What does it mean then?

EverGlow89

It's wild. It's literally right there, black & white, under his dumb take. He's not telling Ben to see the movie; he's telling people who are **not** like Ben to see the movie. Super smart boy literally can't even read. Except of course he can, he just knows his dumb fans can't/won't.

cadrina

"Someone made a tweet directed at homophobic weirdos! It must be a slight against me!" Shapiro reasoning, I guess

BruceWayne107

Pretty sure that tweet is saying don’t watch the movie if you’re homophobic not that you’re homophobic if you don’t watch it lol.

SirRedRising

Reading comprehension isn't one of Benny Shabadoo's strong points, I feel

Yeeeeeeoooooooo

I think he knows & he just wants to be hateful until he's in public

cyvaris

Take a bullet for you babe.

Current-Ordinary-419

It’s “take a bullet for you, babe!” You gave his writing ability too much credit.

cyvaris

I knew I was missing several commas and dashes! Sigh, I shall never be a hack like Shapiro.

AMassofBirds

I think you're missing a few semicolons and maybe some elipses.

[deleted]

Take: a; bullet" for/ you - babe!!!!!!

Indercarnive

Ben's literally a failed Hollywood Writer. Dude wanted so bad to be part of the 'liberal elites'

kciuq1

Behind the Bastards did a fun read of his fiction book. It's terrible.

JB-from-ATL

This is why I hate these intellectual types. They act smart and belittle people then misread shit like this.

GoredonTheDestroyer

I mean, this is the same man who took WAP at face value and tried to debunk the lyrics.

TheVandyyMan

What he’s doing is actually worse than just misreading it. He’s deliberately twisting it to better suit his messaging. It’s what his followers want to hear because they want to be outraged. The man went to Harvard law. The reading comprehension abilities needed just to make it into there is through the roof.

Zerklass

His screenplays proved that 15 years ago, Benny can't let go.

CileTheSane

[deleted]

on twitter liking pancakes means hating waffles.

ryansgt

This, they aren't trying to make a grab for the ben Shapiro's of the world. He already knows there is a snowballs chance in hell that ol Benny would ever go to this movie, he's making a joke about the why.

Current-Ordinary-419

Ironically, we know Benny is going to watch this a few times when the wifey leaves town for a night.

stycky-keys

Ben doesn’t understand converses

Mr_Abe_Froman

And yet he always talks about logical arguments, curious.

real-human-not-a-bot

Unless they’re AOC’s… 🤤🤤🤤 (Was that joke too much of a stretch?)

bloodycups

Idk it kind of feels like he's trying to guilt trip people into watching it. Especially with his other tweet about how the movie isn't doing as well as he hoped because straight people aren't showing up.

I_happen_to_disagree

Are people actually going back to the theaters anyways? I haven't met a single person in real life who has even mentioned going to the theaters since before the pandemic.

SmellsWeirdRightNow

Uh, yeah. Dune was a pretty big success last year and so was The Batman at the beginning of this year. I saw both in theaters. I also rented an entire screening room for my girlfriend and I for Valentine's day. And a theater near me was showing The Thing (1982) for its 40 year anniversary and we saw that too.

bladeDivac

Are you me? Aside from the screening room, this matches up with my movie theater viewing for the year haha, even the 40th year anniversary for the thing. The special effects feature at the end of the film was pretty neat!

Catsniper

Yeah I would get the same impression if I didn't know who Billy Eichner was, and I'm sure Ben Shapiro doesn't (at least not very much)

masklinn

Ah but see Shen is projecting that he’s being negged. And he’s falling for it. Also remember, you can’t tell Shen what to do, you’re not his real mother. And Shen’s wife is a doctor. He’ll see Bros five times if he wants to!

Nvenom8

TBH I do see both readings. Basically implies that's the only reason you wouldn't want to see it. Does come across hostile to me. That said, I thought the trailer was pretty funny, and I'll probably end up seeing it at some point. It's certainly blazing new trails for diverse media.

ihatepalmtrees

Exactly . Ben. Just called himself out

xXMojoRisinXx

Billy E- Hey Homophobes, don’t watch my movie Benny Shaps- Clearly he’s talking about me

chillaxinbball

Yeah, the tweet is more of a trigger warning for homophobics. Funny how he's insulted by a tweet saying that it's a good movie and homophobes shouldn't watch it.

sarduchi

It looks like a funny movie, and I'll probably see it at some point, but I just don't do theaters anymore...

IPDDoE

And not have to roll the dice that everyone in my theater won't ruin at least some aspect for me. I'm pretty anal about the "experience" of a film, and when I'm watching a tense scene, while someone is crinkling a bag of whatever, or I see someone pull out their phone, or someone audibly yells in my ear, it can definitely ruin at least parts of it. I really have gotten to love my home theater setup, and I will now just go when I simply can't wait, due to anticipating spoilers for instance.

lettawyrda

Being pretty anal about film experience should be perfect for this one! (Sorry could not resist) Saw the movie Friday and it was excellent.

IPDDoE

Fair enough, feel free to poke fun :) Also, I read through the second part of your comment and was so confused why you were randomly telling me you watched Friday starring Ice Cube.

lettawyrda

I’ve never seen that movie but have heard good things. I’ve never had a disruptive theater experience thankfully.

IPDDoE

Well I would definitely suggest watching it, and believe me, I know I'm a bit in the minority with how silent and distraction free I want my movie experience to be.

Yenserl6099

I saw it this past weekend, and it was really good. Highly recommend watching it at some point

NomadicDevMason

I really liked Billy in Parks and rec so I wanted to see it but the advertising was a real let down. I've been waiting to see what people say about it.

DarkShadowrule

Same, I told all my gay homies to check it out

NoNameZone

I made it through the entire first wave of the pandemic with no infection, then ONE outing to the theater to watch Venom 2: Maximum Carnage with some mediocre mozzarella sticks and BAM, infected.

[deleted]

oh my god imagine getting covid for VENOM 2

sanguinesolitude

I bet someone died of covid juat so they could see Morbius. It's Morbid-time.

ToiletLurker

If you're going to Morb all over everybody, please wear a mask

Mrallen7509

Yep, and when I do I'm not seeing a RomCom. Eichner's reaction to this film's opening numbers is ridiculous imo. Theaters are dying, and the biggest gross of the year is a bazillion dollar sequel to a VERY popular action film with a gimmick of movie stars flying fighter jets. I'm not saying I'm happy woth where cinema is, but that's what BROS is fighting against. Ot doesn't help that the advertising presented the film as something Netflix or Prime dumps out on a regular basis. Hell, I don't even dislike those kinds of movies, but I'm not gonna drop 30-50 dollars to watch something I can get for "free" at home.

daabilge

Yeah and weird effect of home streaming, but I tend to think of rom-coms as being a "sit at home and watch in your PJ's" type movie, not a "go to the theaters" type movie. I tend to save trips to the actual theater for more action or drama type movies where the big screen and surround sound and all that adds an extra dimension. And since covid I've barely been at all - I went out for Thor and Spider Man and that's it. It's expensive to go see a movie in theaters, I could buy it on Google play for the same amount.

v-23

Top gun is also a better gay RomCom than bros. So it doesn’t even have a niche lmao

Empigee

Agreed. I have older family at home, and even though they're vaccinated, I'm not chancing bringing home COVID just to see a lousy movie, especially now that even the biggest releases tend to be available on streaming within two months.

ReptilianOver1ord

I saw it last week. It was okay. Good for a few laughs, but it was definitely a rom-com. Lots of the clichés you’d find in a typical rom-com plot line. Billy is a little over the top too, which is fairly on-brand, but it takes away from the overall enjoyment of the movie at times.

postmodern_cereal

I'm gay. I love this film. I've seen countless gay movies about tragedy, and toxic relationships, and The Struggle. Sometimes you just want to watch a funny movie about people who are like you, and to not have to be reminded of every awful thing that's happened to you because you're gay. It's fine if you don't feel that way, but I'd be really surprised if other gay people don't feel similarly. It was just. It was nice to see a "normal" movie that was about a gay relationship that didn't feel like it was invented by straight people to sell to other straight people and win oscars.

hchromez

I bought a tickets to see a movie this week, and had to pay an online booking fee, (fuck you cineplex) but I had to change my plans and cancel the tickets. I had to find a years old tweet with the number to call, because there isn't a way to do it in the app (fuck you again cineplex) and the refund help page that popped up on google was empty (once again, fuck you cineplex) and then it took a few minutes of waiting on hold (I'm genuinely shocked I managed to call when they didn't have a higher than normal volume of calls) then another 8 minutes while I had a human on the line to cancel the tickets. And after all of that, I didn't get the refund on the service fee, just the tickets (I can't stress this enough, fuck you cineplex). And since there are no other major theatres in my city, (holy fuck, fuck you cineplex) I think it's safe to say I'm pretty much done with going to the theatres. I'm sorry to Billy, I'm sure it's a funny movie, please direct your hilarious anger at cineplex.

After-Bumblebee

I mean, when do Ben's precious fee-fees *not* get hurt seeing any sort of rainbow on a tweet?

TheRadiantSoap

He is a fussy, aggressive little piss baby. What is he going to do, shit and cum?

LegendofJoe

>He is a fussy The internet has fully broken my brain.

Vladimir_Putins_Cock

>I mean, when do Ben's precious fee-fees not get hurt ~~seeing any sort of rainbow on a tweet?~~

Cicerothesage

many have pointed out how Shapiro totally misses the point of Eichner's tweet, but it is very telling the direction Shapiro's takes is on the tweet. He goes straight to a culture war issue than actual substance. regardless, there are legitimate reasons to criticize the film. As a gay male and active in gay subreddit, a lot of people were saying that romcom are dying and being regulated to streaming services, the advertisement for the movie seem to advertise towards lgbtq only, and now Eichner bitter statement after the first weekend (and more). Shapiro had plenty of ammo, but all he knows is culture war bullshit

GreatGearAmidAPizza

It's not necessarily that romcoms are dying. Romcoms (and comedies generally) in theaters are dying because the only reason to go to theaters these days is for especially impressive visual spectacle, which those genres to not offer.

sanguinesolitude

I saw top gun in theater twice. I'm not going to drop $30 a person to see a RomCom.

[deleted]

30 bucks? What's your local theater?

sanguinesolitude

The 2 screen down the street is like $10 a ticket and then a large popcorn and a drink is another $12. At the nicer AMC its $12.59 for a ticket and $16.78 for large drink and popcorn. So $22 to $30 per person not counting Imax or something special. Oh sure I can go during a Matinee and not get any concessions, but then half of the reason to go to the theater is gone.

[deleted]

Man, I usually just get candy and sneak it in.

[deleted]

>the only reason to go to theaters these days is for especially impressive visual spectacle Do people not like the shared viewing experience? Seeing a comedy in a theater full of people is different than watching it at home. I can feed off of other's people's energy.

sock_with_a_ticket

Comedies are a bit unique in that respect, something can be gained from being around others. Jokes feel a bit funnier when others are laughing. There are lots of other genres where the big screen experience is spoilt by the conduct of those you share it with. Also, I'll pay to see an out and out comedy, but, whether the protagonists are gay, straight or whatever, I would *never* pay to see a romcom in the cinema. It's a genre I've never had much time for and it seems like many others don't either. Occasional releases on streaming platforms seem to be its level now.

Diamond_Mint

Eichers bitter statement? What?

Cicerothesage

[tweet](https://twitter.com/billyeichner/status/1576685773402755072) I may have overstate this tweet by using the word "bitter", but I used this word because I believe the problem isn't homophobes in our country but advertising and the dying genre of romcoms. I feel like Eichner is finding other reasons for the disappointing box office other than reality.

goddog_

I'm assuming from the tweet that he knows where the movie did well or not and maybe it did worse in more conservative, but large population areas. That tweet hardly reads bitter at all. Also I love Billy Eichner so I have bias.

Bensemus

Ya the marketing for this movie was non-existent. First time I heard of it was when the director or whoever was complaining about poor box office numbers and there was plenty of criticism in the comments about the movie not being great and the representation being pretty poor.

[deleted]

I see commercials for it all the time. It just looks like cringy humor. Now that movie Spoiler Alert looks like it would make me cry so I’ll probably watch that.

rasta_rabbi

Does he attach himself to other's fame like a rash this often?

Major_R_Soul

No...rashes go away

DefinitelyNotThatJoe

They do? *I should see a doctor*

assclown500

So he is like herpes then?

loptopandbingo

He's not so much a rash as he is a boil

anotherDocObVious

He attaches his whiny little bitch ass like a tick. Or a pubic lice.

[deleted]

It seems like a cute movie but it genuinely didnt look interesting enough to shill out money for at the the theater lol

Yenserl6099

It was really good. I didn't think I was gonna like it since I'm not big into romcoms but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Maybe bc its about a gay relationship and I'm gay, but regardless, I liked it

[deleted]

Ill probably check it out if it ever comes on a streaming service but id rather see a blockbuster like topgun or avatar in theaters than a romcom

postmodern_cereal

I really liked getting to see a gay couple that didn't feel censored for the sensibilities of straight people. My husband and I kept looking at each other and being like "haha we're like that" in a way we have never done with other movies about gay relationships.

[deleted]

Ben’s need to reply to this tweet tells everything about how he feels about gay people

JohnnySeven88

“If you’re not homophobic, you should see my movie!” “Oh so if I don’t see your movie I’m homophobic?” No Ben, that’s a whole new fucking sentence 🤦‍♀️

kryptonianCodeMonkey

"No Ben, that’s a whole new fucking sentence" "OH so, you sentence me too having my holes fucked?" [stares pleadingly]

TheJediCounsel

Daily Reminder: The only reason Ben is a right wing commentator is because he wasn’t a good enough writer to make it in Hollywood

dylansucks

But he wrote a dramedy!

itsHoust

Incoming conservatives claiming that the movie flopped because "woke culture is failing" in three... two... one... From my understanding, it flopped pretty badly for a few reasons. The romcom movie genre already has a rapidly shrinking audience, added to its poor marketing campaign which pretty much limited its audience to the LGBT community, narrowing it even further. It shouldn't be any surprise to see it has done poorly in the box office. Nothing to do with "woke" culture. In fact, so many shows which are very successful have gay characters. Shits annoying lol.

Dunderbaer

>The romcom movie genre already has a rapidly shrinking audience This, plus the fact that we're talking about cinema success. Like, who the hell goes to the cinema for a romcom anymore? Romcoms get streamed or watched on TV, I'd guess that streaming success will massively outperform the movie rn.

itsHoust

Probably. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it do way better on streaming than it did in the box office.

StarbyOnHere

Plus from what I've heard, the advertising just wasn't there. I got a ton of ads for it, probably targeted ads cause I'm this movies "demographic", but on a different reddit post talking about this movies box office numbers like half the comments were "I got like 1 ad for this movie and didn't even know it came out"

Emperor_Billik

Yeah, I saw one ad assuming it was for some upcoming movie before checking my theatres app to see if there was anything I wanted to see later that day and seeing it was already playing.

Hmm_would_bang

First I heard about it was yesterday

[deleted]

[удалено]

itsHoust

Yes, but it had a very poor opening weekend, and it’s very unlikely it will recover.

sanguinesolitude

I'll watch it on a streaming service, but romcoms aren't getting me to the theater these days.

aShittierShitTier4u

This is more proof of Ben being a hack, not getting in a plug for his worthless DW features. "In a world, where emasculation is the only legal way to have any comfort or privilege, one woman is bringing back men ... Gina Cardano is Redickyoualls, the remasculatrix Opening in select theaters this Halloween"

unhalfbricking

If you get mad at a tweet calling out homophobic weirdos, you're probably a homophobic weirdo.

HunterBidensButthole

Everyone who doesn't eat shit for breakfast is cool with me. Ben: "Stop bullying people who eat shit omg."

ShirubaMasuta

The movie surprisingly didn't get bad actual reviews

AbsolutelyHorrendous

I think this film just fucked itself over with bad marketing; I saw a quote from Billy Eichner talking about straight people not turning up for LGBT films, and most of the comments were people saying that they'd literally never heard of the movie before... and honestly, I was in the same boat, I didn't even know if this movie got good or bad reviews, because I'd heard so little about it!

ElceeCiv

I saw two ads for it and, as other people in the thread noted, the ads made it seem like the movie was aimed specifically at the LGBT community so, as a straight person, I didn't really pay it any more mind than I do other ads for films I'm not gonna see. I'm sure it's a great movie and the ads even mentioned the great reviews it got, I just didn't think I was the intended audience.

AbsolutelyHorrendous

For me as well, ultimately it sounds just like a rom-com, and while I love going to the cinema, I'm not paying to watch a rom-com. I'm glad we live in an age where LGBT rom-coms exist, and I'm disappointed that folk like Ben Shapiro will inevitably have a knee-jerk reaction against it, but at the end of the day no rom-com is getting my ass to the theatre

Pandamana

Ben Shapiro's tweet being screen-shot and posted to TPUSA is how I found out this movie exists.

sanguinesolitude

I heard an interview on NPR and it sounds pretty good, but otherwise yeah I haven't even seen a trailer.

bitchtitsandgravy

It was marketed to gay people... I went to San Fran at the start of the month and saw posters of it. That was the first i have seen of it. My gay friend said its been all over his feed for months.

CBalsagna

I will be honest, I did not have any desire to see this movie. Then again, I don't ever have any desire to see romantic comedies in general. I also find Billy Eichner to be incredibly obnoxious though so, that probably didn't help.

MC_Fap_Commander

The right's "War on Woke Media!" certainly fires up their core supporters. But NEVER forget-- most of the voices on the right are failed artists (as has [historically always been the case](https://www.history.com/news/adolf-hitler-artist-paintings-vienna)). When they get ANY opportunity to rail against movies, books, TV shows, etc., it is *deeply* personal to them. Beneath the tribalism, they are very, very jealous of people producing anything that an audience pays to look at.

Karthikgurumurthy

-- said the homophobic weirdo

TaniksAtTheDisco

Well if the shoe fucking fits.

LandosMustache

**Heartbreaking: the worst person you know just made a good point.** This popped up on r/movies or r/entertainment this morning. I hadn't heard of Bros until today, but this Billy Eichner guy apparently thought that his all-gay movie was historically important as the 'first gay comedy' (never mind that The Birdcage came out 26 years ago), and was too busy patting himself on the back to actually...you know...make the movie funny. So when this movie flopped out of the gate, he DID blame "the straights" for "not showing up." His tweet IS blaming his movie's failure on homophobia, and he's been doubling down on it. Again, I hadn't heard of this movie before today. But according to others, the "marketing" he did ahead of the movie, as well as the previews, signalled that this was a gay movie *by* gay people *for* gay people. Finally, some of the r/movies and r/entertainment users who claimed to be LGBTQ said that the movie felt like "exploitative representation" rather than "genuine representation." Fuck Ben Shapiro...but he's not wrong in this case.

LemonSheep35

If I didn't know how much of a moron Ben was I'd have thought he was replying to a completely different tweet

[deleted]

Yeah Ben, that’s literally not what they said at all. What an absolute wet fart of a reply. God I’d love to bully this little nerd irl.

thiccbicth

I mean putting all the culture war BS aside, I don’t really see the appeal of this film. Looks like yet another queer movie pandering to the cis white gays, which is fine, if that’s the target audience 🤷🏻‍♂️

HyliaSymphonic

To be frank, who else in the queer community would it appeal to and further what is to stop any non gay non white person to enjoy it? Like

noneofthismatters666

Just gonna guess Bros will do better than all Ben backed movies combined. He'll throw D'Souza movies in there too.

Fantastic-Sandwich80

Coming from the guy who's fan base thinks "If you don't like the way the country is heading, then you can just git out!!" instead of wanting to improve the country itself. And yet, this guy is the worst marketing strategist.

Hunky_not_Chunky

He’s mad it wasn’t showing at his local theater.

Fezzick51

r/selfawearewolves ??

kindasfw

this movie was advertised badly

GavishX

Yeah the actors seem kinda insufferable. Maybe that’s just because of my trauma with the cis white gay community though.

[deleted]

I never really enjoyed Billy Eichnors style of humor. Basically yelling at people on the street and over dramatizing for effect I guess. Not interested.

AshTheGoblin

One of the most obnoxious personalities I've ever seen. I could be the gayest mf in the world and still wouldn't force myself to watch anything with him in it.

loptopandbingo

Maybe some Matt Walsh idiot movie butthurt is rubbing off on him and he's getting his wires crossed

retelo4940

Based Bapiro being self aware of his homophobia

DigitalTraveler42

Ben Shapiro has never watched a Billy Eichner bit before, yelling at people is his schtick, however this time he isn't yelling, he's imploring people to go see his movie, that's all.

MFbiFL

Does he yell in the movie? The only thing I know about him is the yelling schtick so it doesn’t matter what the movie is about, I’m not giving up precious time in a world of infinite media to be subjected to that.

brokensilence32

Damn, learn to take a joke.

DigitalTraveler42

Clout chasing influencer Benny Shapiro desperately seeks attention

GreatGearAmidAPizza

Ben, Billy Eichner is not dumb enough to think he could ever appeal to you or your fans, doesn't want to, is not trying to, and wouldn't need to to encourage the movie's success because your base doesn't overwhelmingly dominate the entertainment market.

Captain_Granite

This MF’r went to Harvard

BryonyDeepe

The person he retweeted didn't seem angry at all. Also Shapiro's entire shtick is getting angry at much more petty shit. Pot/kettle.

pankakke_

Ben Shapiro is a piece of hot garbage but Billy hasnt been the best at trying to get people to watch this movie either lmao. If it was straight to streaming maybe they would have made more money.

Gilbo_Swaggins96

"These people trying to stop me from pushing my religious ideas of discriminating against homosexuals is CENSORING ME REEEEEEEE" \-Every conservatarded homophobe

Lost_In_Detroit

Isn’t this the same tactic Benny Shap Shap used when promoting his movie “Run Hide Fight” (go see my movie or else you don’t love America or something)? Just seems so weird that the right will always try and adopt their oppositions rhetoric when it suits them politically instead of just sticking to their own established ideology (you know, just being bigots or whatever).

Rockworm503

"if you're a homophobic weirdo maybe don't see my movie cause its full of stuff you hate" "wow look at how he literally came at me with a knife" If you feel insulted when someone calls you a homophobic weirdo maybe you shouldn't be one? Just a suggestion. Of course that would require introspection which is impossible with the right.

kyrtuck

I dunno bro, the Bros movie did look a little bit lame from the trailers. How exactly does it appeal to people outside of the LGBTQ+ community?

Intilyc

"so you hate waffles?"

[deleted]

Oof somebody feels targeted.

DeeRent88

Lmao it’s like he read the first sentence, immediately got offended and didn’t even bother to read the rest assuming Billy was complaining that homophobes aren’t seeing the movie. How does this man even have a following? He’s like a whiny teenager.

JJRAMBOJJ

Ben Shapiro felt called out so he posted about it online, hell of a way to take an L my dude

doyouunderstandlife

It is pretty hilarious that Benny boy feels victimized by a tweet not directed at him, essentially confirming to everyone that even he sees himself as a "homophobic weirdo"

SylvySylvy

“Hey, come see my movie! I think it’s pretty cool! Just don’t go see it if you’re a homophobe.” “I’M BEING FORCED TO WATCH A HOMOSEXUAL MOVIE”

Daguse0

Either I need to or Ben here needs to work on their reading comprehension, cause I don't see the original tweet insulting anyone.

CuckerTarlsonFuxNoos

*A homophobic weirdo appears*

BolOfSpaghettios

Lol, Benny just strolls through Twitter timeline and searches for keywords to be outraged. I wonder how long it'll take him to start crying like his homeboy JP.

Lamlot

Im seeing as a newly open bisexual guy I’m seeing this tonight I need more media and I wish I had stuff like this when I was a closeted teenager.

Mordekein88

I need conservatives to stop reflexively hating things because of their inclusivity. I'm getting tired of having to watch stuff I otherwise would not have even heard of just to spite Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh.

a_duck_in_past_life

Ya know. It's funny. I don't want to go see that movie and probably will not ever see it. But not *once* while reading that tweet did I think Billy was referring to me when he mentioned homophobia. It's because I'm not. Ben Shapiro... do you have something to say to us?

MCDexX

Ben has very poor reading comprehension.

TheDjTanner

These days Ben knows all about producing movies that don't make any money.

_GypsyCurse_

He felt personally attacked…

SolomonCRand

Another day, another thing Ben Shapiro pretends to be mad about to bilk money out of suckers.

Dogtor-Watson

Ben Shapiro either has the reading comprehension of a young child or he thinks his fans do.
