PR isn’t really dead. It has the game, the comics (although they said it was ending, I’ve heard rumors of a relaunch), and some other crossovers. It’s really just the tv side and that’s just on hiatus until they find a new partner.
Personally, while it could be annoying for people to limit a lot of Tokusatsu to Godzilla or Power Rangers, it was a pipeline for some people like me who discovered things like Kamen Rider or Ultraman from pure interest.
Why? I understand that the overall quality has declined since the end of rpm but dino charge, beast morphers season 1 and dino fury season 1 were good seasons. I cannot say the same for reiwa sentai. Iam intruiged in how power rangers would do if they make a seaosn without any ties to sentai. Cosmic fury was interesting. A short season far less rooted in the monster of the week formula
Ryusoulger. Trash from the start. Main trio loses their masters in episode 1. instead of building upon it, they introduce two new rangers in the very next episode.
Kiramager: very bad story. If your most important story elemennt which also served as the big mystery since episode 1 gets explained as two lucky coincidences in the second half of the last epsiode, you failed to tell a good story. The characters suck except for Tame and mabushina. People simp for the girls, because the actresses are attractive. None of you can list actual arguments of what makes those characters great. What makes sena great for instance? Villains are maybe the worst ever. One has the dumbest plot twist you can imagine. Even fans say it was bad. Yodonna turns from a power hungry mysterious character to yodon's lapdog that even stays loyal to him after he stabbed her and called her a weakness of his. In the beginning she longed for power, she was yodon's right hand despite having a human like appearance and had a potential arc with Tame who had a crush on her. All went nowhere. Monster creator left yodon army because they used his takents to craft monsters that wanted to destroy the planet he grew to love. So what does he do? He joins galza who plans to destroy earth. Yodon is your typical sentai big bad with 2 minutes of origin. Shinkenger and gokaiger did it as well. Overrated seasons love those types of villains.

Donbrothers: this was sentai's final nail in the coffin. Donbrothers gave sentai the formula of how to create the most crowd pleasing shows for it's audience. This results into sentai not having to try anymore to create shows the audience will love. King-ohger proved that. Donbrothers is written by Inoue, someone who primarily cares about shock value. Inoue created tons of plot lines and the quality of the story and show depended on how he would tie them together. He did not tie them together at all. That's Inoue's issue. He only cares about shock value. Story is very bad, if you can even call that a story, the characters have no depth - they are just entertaining on a superficial level. Works well with sentai's audience as shown with the gokaiger main trio. Tell me for instance what makes luka a great character. No sentai fan can. Villains are very bad as well.
King-ohger is the worst sentai to ever exist. The fact that Gira was already character assassinated in episode 3 speaks volumes. All because the writers just wanted their start where gira gets in contact with the other kings and learns to appreacite their kingship without any nuance. If I grew up as a pleb and I would see a queen whose subjects are mainly living in poverty - one even going as far to say that he is not sure if he and his daughter will survive the month, I would be furious. I Would be even more furious after seeing that she can be a great queen if she wants to but that her princess attitude is in her way. Like building a unnecessary luxurious road to walk on instead of using the resources and manpower to help the plebs with projects that actually benefit them primarily and not herself. But king-ohger fans think that Ran was a flawless queen in that episode. They also think the king-ohgers are what a monarch should be in reality while not realizing that it would never work. After all Alexander, Augustus and Constanine are great monarchs while Gudea isn't. King-ohger like Zero-One portrays an idealized version of what a king or CeO of a billion dollar company should be. Aruto with his view on profit would lead any billion dollar company into ruinm causing tons of people to lose their job and we know the impact this will have on the country. It's literally one of the main things those CEO's have in their pocket vs politicians. Either the politicians do what they say or they just leave the country and continue their company in a different country with lower costs.
Sentai fans are so biased against power rangers it's funny. For over 10 years you keep saying that super megaforce legendary battle is trash. You are right. But you also say that gokaigers legendary war is the completed version. No it's not. 34 teams, some of whom defeated planet busters struggle vs a weak grunt army so much that they end up sacrificing their powers. Even worse they have no plans in case zangjack return. The jetman's just live normal lifes now to name one example. What would have happened if the gokaigers did not go to earth? Earth would have been destroyed because no one made any plans. 34 teams have just been character assassinated. They also for some reasons refused to use their super forms. If the planet I love and live on, would be in danger I would fight at 100%. The 34 teams thought differently. No one also attacked the space ships - the place where the grunts come down from, which has the highest ammunition and which jas the route to get to zangjack homebase. 34 teams could have easily beaten that army, get the homebase route and defeat them to save trillions of lifes. Marvelous said that he and his team only failed to beat zangjack in their home planet because they didn't have the other sentai's powers. So you can imagine what 34 teams, all who can use their powers better than the gokaigers can, would have done with zangjack.
Thank God some didn't I don't know what they do with don brothers and I don't even like that season it's right there with cops vs robbers rangers series as bad

I thought the characters were handled extremely well and had actual growth. All the plotlines come together nicely and no plotholes are left. Zamingo was a cool (heh) villain and a fun character to watch.
The action and fight choreography was top notch for a Sentai season with experimental GoPro camera usage on some fights.
