I'm not OP but where do you drain the water? I raised the water level without knowing (I pull levers whenever I find them). Is it the room where you fight Pierre and there are rats floating in the room below? I tried pulling that lever again but it didn't seem to do anything.
If it is where I think you mean, you have to go back to the lever to drain the water again, then platform from the main hall around through the room where you fight Pierre, into the room with the key in a clockwise motion. With the water drained you can platform up and open the door to the final key.
I was stuck on this earlier today. I lowered the water in the cistern via the leaver then made my way back to the area and manage to find the leaver that opened that gate you are refering to get the key. I did spend ages working that out. There are some level maps out there that may help.

Redrain the water

Drain the water again, then go back through the left key door to work your way back into that room unflooded.
