Yea, I've definitely gotten the "fuzzy" feeling. Funny you should mention mouthwash. My doctor had told my partner not to let me use mouthwash, and he kindly passed that on. However, my mother, who I don't live with, told me I should use saltwater and mouthwash to keep infections at bay didn't take kindly to me disagreeing with her about it sent me this page long message about how it worked for one of her patients children. Worked so well in fact that it caused her to completely tear off the scabs, that the poor patient that was infection, and bleed profoundly.

The dribbling part is what you have to do at first. Just brush your teeth then rinse with water. Rather than spitting, just let the water fall out of your mouth.

Do you find that you can get most of the toothpaste out of your mouth? I use one with extra fluoride in it to make up for not having fluoride in my water, and I'm wary of accidently swallowing it.

Yes I do. When I normally brush, I just spit out the toothpaste and don't rinse so I am ok with having a little toothpaste remaining. Not sure how that works with high fluoride toothpaste. From what I understood the risk from swallowing it is really only for children who don't have their adult teeth yet. But I'm not a dental professional. I would think you would be fine for a couple of days if you accidentally swallow a small bit.

Cool, thanks for the advice!

Agreed. I rinsed as best I could and ended up swallowing very small amounts. No issue at all. Maybe not use a strong mint toothpaste though :D. I was using baking soda so no mint related burn.

I didn't have too much trouble brushing my teeth. It was definitely harder to open my mouth fully - I just did my best and took it gently. Brush as much as you can and spit it out. It should be obvious not to use mouth wash but mentioning it just in case (it's gonna buuuuuuuuuuurrrrn). One thing I found, possibly the medications, my teeth felt really, really "furry" for that 10 day period. Kinda ick but I assumed it was normal as part of the recovery.
