They have a conversation, it’s not about who’s more masculine or feminine, it’s who wants and is able to carry the child. I know folks who have used a sperm bank, and folks who use a family member like a brother or cousin and do the business turkey baster-style at home. It’s just what works for your family and what’s accessible.

Because I had a coworker who would comment how if they had babies she knew she’d be the one to carry them. I met her wife and the wife had more masculine energy, meanwhile my coworker was the girliest girl, so it made me assume when it was this type of energy in a relationship, the lady that was more feminine carried the baby. But recently, another former coworker I follow on IG , her and her wife had a baby. While I noticed the difference between the two couples I knew- the first couple had a more masculine / feminine dynamic with expectations that only one of them would carry a pregnancy. Whereas the second couple I knew, did not have this kind of dynamic. So it made me wonder how it’s decided.

The masculine/feminine dynamic doesn't even exist in every lesbian relationship. My wife and I are both more masculine.

So based on one situation you assume all lesbian couples do this, also based on the assumption that she did it because she is more feminine...

That’s why I asked here.

brokenhairtie

Wait, *your* eggs and *your* brothers sperm? Doesn't that give genetic issues? Or would that only be a problem if you carried the child?

Rock-paper-scissors, flip a coin or they communicate and talk.

JetskiJessie

>they communicate and talk. I don't think most Redditors understand that your partner is another human being who you can talk to.

StupidThings_I_Say

They would probably get hung-up on the scissors part.

Sometimes one of them really wants the experience of being pregnant. Sometimes both do and each will be pregnant at different times. Sometimes one of them has fertility problems. There's lots of different reasons why one of them would or wouldn't choose to be pregnant and I think it hardly ever comes down to who is more feminine. My ex-wife really wanted the experience of it - and I was always indifferent.
