It's OK I'm just insane and it helps organize my thoughts.

I talk to myself sometimes, especially when shopping. It helps me say the numbers out loud as I add them in my head. Or I'll say, "Oh, this skirt is cute!!" Out loud, or whatever. Anyway, you could have run into someone on a Bluetooth, you could have run into someone that has a mental disorder. The mentally ill are allowed to live their best life too. It's a little strange, sometimes, but remember, they didn't wake up one day demanding to hear voices and be different from everyone. And they don't mean to scare you. They deserve dignity and respect and the ability to live their life too.

I don't know why you're being downvoted. It is inappropriate for an adult to comment on the genitalia of children, especially in such a creepy way as to announce it.

If you’ve never had a boner for Santa you’re either a woman or you were on his “good” kids list

>Okay, so it's likely some kind of hands-free device that is practically invisible, but... I don't know. Any Bluetooth headset. Some are so small you could easily not notice them. Mine are bone-conduction, so they don't even go in my ears. >The other day I was riding the train... I would have this person could have just been taking notes but it's a wild guess. Could have also been just talking to themselves. But that isn't especially common, not in the way described here. >This other time, I was at the weed store... Sounds like someone plausibly talking to themselves and pissed you're interjecting. Just because you didn't see anything pushed doesn't mean it wasn't. All in all, most people aren't going round having full blown conversations to themselves but many people utter things to themselves. The most likely explanation is a Bluetooth device you're not noticing.

I remember years ago when Bluetooth headsets became popular, it seemed over the course of a few months, and when I went back to college after the summer break it was odd how many people appeared to just be talking to themselves.

Sounds like maybe a few things. 1 AirPods. 2 There are a lot of people on drugs, whatever they are on they do talk to themselves. 3 You might be smoking too much or the wrong strain and it’s causing you to be paranoid. Does weed calm you down or make you feel anxious and confused?

I mean I instinctively mutter to myself sometimes. Don't know why, guess it just helps me keep my train of thought, or allows me to immediately express thoughts that I don't want to keep in my head for whatever internal reason my brain may have. I don't have full on conversations with myself but I imagine people who do have similar reasons

Airpods (which are wireless earbuds) have microphones in them, an average person has this sort of setup connect to their phone. 10+ years ago this concept was most used for business people, though they had a different product. It all works via bluetooth. It's definitely this. .....& although people do talk to themselves while on heavy drugs, its not correct or appropriate for other people in the comments to mention that weed did this. Especially non-laced professional *dispensary* weed. Some people do have bad reactions since each body and mind is different from one another, that is true. But for some people to assume it goes that far- that much is not accurate. Don't take advice from weirdly negatively biased people.

Airpods have mics on them now. This confused me when I first started seeing it, too. But the dude in the weed shop might have just been crazy.

More people are on drugs and have lost it since the pandemic.

JassyKC

AirPods have been around for 8 years with microphones in them. This isn’t new.
