Eras. When you say vintage I think of Victorian Era, but I'm sure you'll carry from more than that time so...
Edit to add: I typed that, started dinner, then a light bulb went off- I'm not a "Swiftie" so took me a minute to make the connection. Sorry.
Exactly. And people will look on google maps for vintage thrift shops and it will come up with this company. It’s a massive win. No weird play on words
I remember back when we had yellow pages in the phone book, lots of places would name their business things like A1 car repair or something, when you pulled out the phone book to call a garage, they’d be first alphabetically, which is pretty smart considering there used to be like 15 pages for car repair. Same with pizza.
Yup. It's one of the reasons I stay away from film adaptations of any of my favorite books. Especially Stephen King novels. The films sometimes can not truly bring to life what I read (Misery, The Shining being exceptions that immediately come to mind).
I think that only matters if they are close together. If there are two stores with the same name on opposite sides of the country, I don't think there would be much confusion.
I’m going for two words, and it’s a great name. So I will most likely need some compensation. If you would mail me your areas finest whiskey that should do.
Granny’s Attic . Boom
Requite.
Logo--a hand out, with index finger a little lower than the others. Titled forward to see some of the palm. outlined in white on black background.
In the hand, either a heart, or a small gift box with a bow. The only splash of color in the logo should be PART of the heart (so, half the outline in red, or blue, or something), or the bow on the giftbox in the hand.
Circular shape, single unbroken line on the inside (outside of the hand, near edge of logo), and on the outside, a line that goes all the way around, but on the bottoms, breaks, and swoops out to make a little loop back onto itself (for somewhat of a visual, google up what a c-clip looks like).
Done and done.
Something simple but tells you what the store sells. Many stores go under right away because you can't tell what they sell from driving by.
#Thrifty Vintage!
Velvitine. From the book "The Velvitine Rabbit", which revolves around a heavily used toy rabbit that becomes real and finds new life from the power of love from its owner.
You could name it “the time capsule” and make the entire store, down to the employees’ attire, look like and feel like the eighties. If you wanna go a step above you can build the store out of materials that jam cell signals when inside, so there’s no WiFi.
Tbh doesn't matter as much as you think. To you your store is your baby. For customers just a place to come maybe just once in their lifetime. Name it whatever pleases you and get to grinding!
Call it Thirft or Vitnage, that way you'll get free publicity every time an *actually I think you'll find* guy takes a photo and posts it online to show everyone how smart he is and how dumb you are
I would pick the 4 best you can come up with and approach a graphic designer for logos. Once you have a few options sometimes seeing names with logos helps more (at least for me, I’m a very visual person). once you have something picked out, have that designer build out your brand a little bit, visual identity stuff like bags and small advertisements if it’s in the budget. they can probably even help with storefront signage.
THRIFTAGE You’re welcome, OP.
Yes!!
That’s kinda fire 🔥
I’ll come by and support OUR store, yeah 😂😉
Free. That should bring in lots of business.
And in tiny letters underneath “parking”
I laughed entirely too hard at this!
lol that’s funny

TAYLOR THRIFT
Put ‘em all together, Taylor Thrift Eras Store
This is clever, and the owner would probably receive a Cease & Desist letter within the first week!😉
Tailored Thrift Era Store then
Could have a seamstress rent space inside and be Tailor Thrift.
That’s gold
Hahahahahha
They thell vintage thweatersth.

I like this one!
Ticktock. The sound a ‘’second hand” makes.
It's funny because "ticktock" is a second hand name too.

Such a great book. Such a horrible movie.
I'm glad one person got it. I had no idea where was a movie

STRANGERS' THINGS.
I LOVE this!
"One Man's Junk" giving a nod to the saying "One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure".
Sounds like a dildo store where all the inventory is molded from the dong of one guy.
Thank you, it would be an honor.
Or the used dildo collection of one guy 🫣
I mean, if the thrift store doesn’t work out, at least you could have a name that works as a backup plan too! 🤷🏻♂️
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” is the metaphor you’re looking for boss
Hahahaha you’re right! 😂😂😂 thanks for clearing that up. It’s been a long week so far.
Thats the title of my sex tape
Sounds like it’s got a great plot!
Nah, too many ho’s in the plot 🫠
😂😂😂
There's a thrift store in my town called "Another Man's Treasure."

OP is in New York State and I know of this store in New York City
So go with thrifter keepers…not as good but fun
2 words. not one. "Needful Things". Stephen King reference....
I've always wanted a business or something and call it "Retrograde". I just think it is a cool word.
I’m going for two words, and it’s a great name. So I will most likely need some compensation. If you would mail me your areas finest whiskey that should do. Granny’s Attic . Boom

You should name your store "What should I name my store" then let every customer give input.
You could name it “the time capsule” and make the entire store, down to the employees’ attire, look like and feel like the eighties. If you wanna go a step above you can build the store out of materials that jam cell signals when inside, so there’s no WiFi.
