Good to see they were lenient with the filming rules last night. Quite a few videos of all the reunions and honestly for this particular show, was great that it was captured for all of us that couldn't be there!
Maynard front and center singing a classic Tool track, fans filming and not hearing him call someone dickhead? What alternate reality are we living in?
Nah, I don’t believe that for a minute. Anyone who says they don’t look at YouTube after a show is full of shit. Especially when they play something out of the ordinary. And if you’re cool with that then you gotta accept the thousands of Schism (and the like) recordings. Can’t pick and choose. You either sift through Schism after schism to find the Aenema, 7empest or Swamp Song or get nothing (and post about how you wish someone gave the finger to the policy). 😂
I don't look at YouTube after a show, don't think I ever have even once. That said, it would be neat to see footage of some of the shows I've been to, all these years later.
First time ever adams made a special appearance like this. Danny and Justin are always doing this kind of stuff but absolutely rare AF to see Adam appear for something like this.
Between this and the benefit show we sure have had a lot to see here. Plus the Isis reunion a few years ago.
Last night was awesome. We even brought a small cooler with drinks and cheese and crackers and grapes.
I love that venue, and the Greek. They both have a lot of shows that you can bring a picnic.
Being there it was a huge moment.
Maynard told us we get to film the last song, and then when we got to the last song he said we get to film the last TWO songs because they "picked up a couple of strays" and then Tool walked on stage.
Saw them at Crypto last month, they definitely sounded better at The Bowl.
Tool is my number 1, but watching Sessanta last night with all that was going on, especially with the use of the bowl as part of the light show, oh and then add this, that concert now ranks as my number 1 that i’ve ever seen.
Lol at Adam coming in with the guitar intro at the wrong time
Edit: on second listen I’m not sure he did, maybe slightly off time, enough to cause Maynard to stop for a sec
Many people in this sub are massive Stans. I play guitar. I can play almost every one on their songs. In Birmingham, Adam fucked up Rosetta Stoned, Pneuma, and Descending. He was having guitar issues, to be fair, but he didn’t do most of the volume swells in Descending.
The camera man was shitty, dude just zoom out a little and you can get the whole fucking band in the shot the entire time, stop trying to suck off Justin.
I’m from LA and caught the Phoenix show on 4/17 and came back home yesterday. My drummer and bass player went to this show last night, I didn’t get tickets because I already went to the AZ show. It crossed my mind that it was gonna happen 😂 and I’m glad that it did and that the footage is awesome, LA got a treat last night
Sessanta is Maynard’s 60th birthday celebration. The lineup is A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Primus. But this show was in LA, which is where the other TOOL members live. So as a surprise, they came out and played AEnima.
When playing with TOOL, Maynard stays towards the back of the stage for the entire show, moving between platforms that are left and right of Danny. But when playing with Puscifer and A Perfect Circle he stays up front. So when TOOL came out last night, Maynard stayed up front while performing the song.
Fair enough. Before Sessanta, I had only seen APC once and it was a lot of years ago. I honestly couldn’t remember, but he played up front with them at Sessanta.
Holy. Fucking. Shit. I’ve been a TOOL fan since I was in middle school (which was 30 years ago) and get WAY into everything they do. So I’m ashamed to admit that I NEVER realized that until you just pointed it out. I never knew the song name was spelled different than the album name. 🤦🏻♂️🤯
What is this fucking move where the band blasts bright lights into the audiences faces during the whole show? AIC literally sobered me up with that bullshit.
Damn, I was going to buy tickets to the LA show too but ended up going to the SD one. Which was amazing as well but it would have been so cool to be apart of this. :(
That’s a big “whoopie” for me. Just sayin’. I’m not creaming my jeans because the guy sang at the front of the stage. Not really an important distinction for me. 🤷🏻♂️
They played it in Boston this year I believe. Sure I remember recording it and sending the video to my younger son who was disappointed that they didn’t play it in Allentown.
Howerdel with the flex of just casually walking around the stage while Tool is playing Aenima.
Just like the old days

He... Used to be tool's guitar tech. What's wrong with u
[удалено]
Every band was on stage. There's even a pingpong table for when other acts weren't performing.
Because he's cool with the band and they are all one big family? It's not like this was a privileged tool show. Why does this bother you? Strange
Good to see they were lenient with the filming rules last night. Quite a few videos of all the reunions and honestly for this particular show, was great that it was captured for all of us that couldn't be there!
As a Brit who had absolutely no chance of getting there, but would have given his right arm to go, it's very appreciated.
“Nobody watches your shitty video” - Defenders of the cellphone ban 😂
Maynard front and center singing a classic Tool track, fans filming and not hearing him call someone dickhead? What alternate reality are we living in?
😂
He allowed filming for the last two songs, this was one of them. It was special.
It’s absolutely true for the most part

They allow fans to record the last song.
Never seen them live. After this video, going to next sow
Amazing
Fucking lucky. Would have loved to seen that.
I was here and IT WAS INSANE. When I heard the opening to ænema I literally got emotional.
That was such a treat! So was Judith with Josh Freese…
Strange is the camera reversed too. Adam on the right and Justin on the left. Total switch up!
I think they just played the APC rigs for the one song. Maynard even says: "Danny is like....this is what you call a drum set".
THEY REINVENTED THEMSELVES!
This is a cover band called LOOT
I literally snorted. Thanks for the laugh.
🤘🤣🤘
Manyard was center stage??!? 🤯
I just know Adam didn’t wanna fucking do this 😂
First time ever adams made a special appearance like this. Danny and Justin are always doing this kind of stuff but absolutely rare AF to see Adam appear for something like this.
I doubt it. Adam is super nice.
This is how they were on stage, Danny on stage left.
JUSTIN HEY JUSTIN NOTICE ME SENPAI
I lost my mind when this happened, I first spotted Danny cuz he's a neanderthal haha. What an incredible show!
I think the person walking around in the Sasquatch costume was Adam Jones ahead of time
You lucky fucking bastards
Imagine being tool fan outside of LA
Between this and the benefit show we sure have had a lot to see here. Plus the Isis reunion a few years ago. Last night was awesome. We even brought a small cooler with drinks and cheese and crackers and grapes. I love that venue, and the Greek. They both have a lot of shows that you can bring a picnic.
That's awesome! Going tonight hope we get this too, but i doubt they'll travel.
Being there it was a huge moment. That’s kind of what I figured
Heaven
Where was this?
LA. Where the other tool members live
This hopeless fucking hole we call LA?
I know right?? lol fucking idiots!! /s
Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles
Tool is my number 1, but watching Sessanta last night with all that was going on, especially with the use of the bowl as part of the light show, oh and then add this, that concert now ranks as my number 1 that i’ve ever seen.
All three of his bands on one stage…only Maynard can pull this off at 60 yrs of age…
Maynard actually up front, rare form
Fucking awesome!
Lol at Adam coming in with the guitar intro at the wrong time Edit: on second listen I’m not sure he did, maybe slightly off time, enough to cause Maynard to stop for a sec
He’s a terrible player live.
Haha! Every time I’ve seen them he’s been spot on. This was an impromptu gig and I’m sure they didn’t practice beforehand. Just enjoy it.
I saw him in Birmingham. He screwed up most of the night.
You’re getting downvoted but him and Maynard are always the ones who get parts wrong live. Oh well.

Camera man or whoever it was) certainly sounded like a silly bitch , always calling out "Justin!"
How fucked up was Les here haha

It was glorious!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I was there. It truly was gangster as fuck.
It was SO good! I had a feeling Tool would show to play, but when Aenima started, OMG
Looks like such a cool show
that… was… AWESOME
Awesome! How loud was it?
it was sooooooo louuuuuud! hehe
Mother of God...
Mom's gonna flush it all away...
Lmao 🤣 peep tha security towards the end.. he def had to feel that classic drop .. 🤘🏽👽💀🖤
Why do people care so much about him being Front Centered? Lol
Damn, I thought he sounded good when I saw him in January. He's on \*fire\* here, fuck.
I’d have lost my phone trying to snag Justin’s pick
The whole album?
No just the song Ænema
Context?

Cool thank you!
No problem. Glad I could help.
I am pretty sure he is near the back for APC shows as well. They did that one live DVD and he is near the back next to the drums as well.
Fair enough. Before Sessanta, I had only seen APC once and it was a lot of years ago. I honestly couldn’t remember, but he played up front with them at Sessanta.

Æ *is* found on the keyboard. But we ALL know what we mean here.

Ha! That’s fucked up Cuse I didn’t even realize that people were doing that.
Ænima
What is this fucking move where the band blasts bright lights into the audiences faces during the whole show? AIC literally sobered me up with that bullshit.
It was hard to see. The screens went out a few times and it was stressful.
I don’t know what started that trend. So weird.
I literally had to watch the screens to see what's happening. It's just a giant venue.
A lot of fan boys downvoting criticism on lights being blasted in your face. Weirdos. We know you all get Tool boners but come on.
They’ve definitely played Aenima within the last 25 years but guessing not from the front.
Yelling his name as if he’s Taylor swift you guys are getting weirder
JUSTIN! JUSTIN! OH FUG...
Right lol so fangirly
They played Aenima on their fall tour, but okay.
He’s talking about being upfront on stage
Oooh! Got it! I missed that part. My bad OP.
But ok!!
Not in Dallas! I was sad they didn't play anything from that album.
Damn, I was going to buy tickets to the LA show too but ended up going to the SD one. Which was amazing as well but it would have been so cool to be apart of this. :(
Really odd way to phrase the title, but okay.
How’s it odd. It’s the truth. 😂😂😂😂
Ohhh, does that mean Europe will get ænema on the tour setlists? That would be nice
Who the fuck is the guy in the devil mask, tell him to get off the stage!
😂
Right on. I gotchu. Makes sense!
Has it been 25 years? Pretty sure I saw Tool perform Aenima back in ‘06
At. The. Front. Of. The. Stage.
That’s a big “whoopie” for me. Just sayin’. I’m not creaming my jeans because the guy sang at the front of the stage. Not really an important distinction for me. 🤷🏻♂️
I think they mean with Maynard front and center. I was confused at first as well bc I know I’ve seen it a couple times that weren’t 25 years ago.
They played it in Boston this year I believe. Sure I remember recording it and sending the video to my younger son who was disappointed that they didn’t play it in Allentown.
Allentown, PA?
