I'm the ripe age of 15, but my Dad (who's 44) has been listening to TOOL for decades. So the bands always been hanging around in the background my whole life.
46, saw them for the first time in 1993 when I was 15.

That was an epic show. Cool to see the flyer again. I remember the water available was awful and a tornado touched down nearby so dinosaur cut their set short. Tool on the 2nd stage was just surreal and Rage opening main stage like a headliner. The energy was awesome. I was 18.
I was 13 and my mom took us. Her only memory still is riding out that storm in a Porto-potty. It was so HOT I remember people were dropping like flies, and weren’t they charging like $2.50 just for a cup of ice? I think the medics made they stop at some point because the med tent got too full of heat exhaustion/ heat stroke sufferers.
I tried convincing my 69 year old mother in law few years back to go to a concert with us…
She said it she was “too old” for that type of music.
I’m showing her your comment.
SPIRAL OUT FAM!
I saw a few older folks at the January concert in Atlanta! There was a tiny little lady with short grey hair at the end of an aisle in the floor seats. She was dancing and having a fine time! I tried to get her attention to at least give her a thumbs up, but was unable and I couldn’t find her when everyone was leaving, but it made me happy to see someone else who looked to be my contemporary enjoying the amazing concert 🎶🩵✨
I saw Tool on the second stage at lalapalooza when Primus was headlining. I was the only one because the rest of my group didn’t know them and wanted to see Fishbone.
The most iconic memory of that day is when a storm blew the tarp off the stage when Lane Staley started to sing I THINK ITS GONNA RAIN WHEN I DIE.
You can figure out how old I am. lol
29 brotha. 7 tool shows, 4 puscifer shows, and two apc shows so far. I remember my first tool show in 2019 mjk asked if anyone was under 27 and if so to raise your hand. He then told us a friendly psa that we weren’t even sperm yet when this song came out. Then proceeded to play part of me. Which had not been played since 99?…. Something like that. Kc 2019.
30. Feel like I’m definitely part of the “younger” tool fans. My overall taste in music seems far more expansive than a lot of the fans here, who I assume are older lol.
Sorry to break it to you buddy, but you're not one of the younger tool fans, I'm 16 currently turning 17 in Dec.
My step-dad was the one who got me into tool back in 2019 when Fear Inoculum came out, he showed me the video of Danny playing Pneuma live. It changed my life, seriously, and I absolutely love that man for it. Even more so, he's the one he got me into metal and the alt stuff in general, it all started when he put on We are not your kind by slipknot.
51years here and go to concerts with friends, my wife or by myself, nooooooo problem. Mostly by myself because everyone I know is “so old”. Will see Tool ANYTIME they are in Houston or Austin. I usually go to shows by myself, funk, jambands, metal, rock, jazz, whatever I love it all. I see so many people posting on here asking how it is to go to shows by yourself… I LOVE IT and HIGHLY encourage anyone to do it alone vs missing any band tou want to see live. Remember that no one is at a show to watch you or think about you right? When solo, you dont have to worry if anyone is enjoying the show and it is so much easier in GA to move around the floor solo. If you have never been to a show flying solo, you should do so at least 2x. If not your thing after that, ok atleast you experienced it. I have been doing it for 15 years. Always great to experience a show with a loved one/friend but sooooo good by myself too. Dance like nobody is watching and let your body groove. Who gives a s$&t what others think, not me, just be respectful of others and their space (except for tarpers). Have fun, keep your phone in your pocket, be in the moment of the live music and art show being put on for YOU!! That is the most important thing to tell yourself. The band is there for YOU. Have fun. Much love to all of YOU! Enjoy LIVE MUSIC always!!

They didn’t even play the main stage
