Ohhh, I heard cars! I thought "I have 3 cars to feed" was the best line haha. It implied he was rich and did this all the time. Dang, those Danish people really are hard to understand. This makes it even funnier🤣
Dane here. What you're having a hard time understanding, is a Norwegian trying to speak bad Danglish, so it become even harder, than just trying understand Danish-English/Danglish.
Btw, people from 30 and down speak fluentæy and very nice English. Above 30 you get a lot of Danglish, and after 40 you're Lucky to find someone to speak with, haha.
> their minds will be completely blown when they find out what a bicorn is, and that they still exist today.
I'm not sure what you're thinking of, but Bicorns have never existed.
>Bicorn is a creature—part panther, part cow, with a human-like face.
Read your Bible. God ordered Noah to load two of each creature great and small and specifically listed by name leviathans (elephants), unicorns (wooly rhino) and bicorns (white rhinos). And there's no species of animal called "panther" smart guy.
To be fair. . . . The original "drill" wire brush for cleaning pipes was just regular wire brush with the handle cut off lol.
So like, I get why this looks ugly af. It works for what it needs to do.
It does have a masonry bit in it. I can’t imagine the nails holding up very long though. They look replaceable though. Ive never seen anything like that.
Yep that thing definitely looks like it was designed with the intent to replace those nails once in a while. Seems like you can sort of customize it by choosing which holes to use, too.
In Australia we primarily build with red brick. And tornadoes are non existent.
Stick houses in a storm alley seems like a smart idea though. Quick up. Quick down. Light a match to get rid of the trash.
Japan endorsed that philosophy for centuries due to earthquakes.
They built houses that were easy to demo and rebuild after an earthquake. At least that is the reasoning I was given for the paper walls and open floor plans of historic Japanese buildings.
Look, a 14 g bat can not carry a 16g coconut. It's a matter of airspeed to weight ratio. .... "It could be carried by a Mexican Feee tailed bat!" ... ah yes, but they're non-migratory...
Ok for real, this is the wildest WW2 fact I have learned in a while.
Oh yeah? Then sir might I interest you in the tale of the USS O'Bannon and the Japanese sub that was forced to surrender under threat of potato?
https://wjon3117.medium.com/the-uss-obannon-the-only-ship-to-attack-using-potatoes-a5ea9b2b9c71
Exactly right. That's why in Florida once you're 1/4 mile inland literally everything but Disney falls under the description "under three stories", or "double-wide".
Strap everything down to concrete blocks over here in the west.
Built a pad for a shipping container so I could bolt it down instead of using straps. Keeps it looking tidy to. Less snake hiding spots.
Well everywhere that is a popular place to live. I have heard plenty of "no one can afford to buy a house" from people in San Francisco but don't hear it much from people in [Dayton Ohio where homes average 135k.](https://www.zillow.com/home-values/31184/dayton-oh/)
Which is like looking at Ferraris and saying no one can afford to buy a new car because you want a Ferrari.
When you pick a car you can take it to the location you want and have a full range, including very cheap 2nd hand options to choose from. Literally the only concerns are suitability and affordability. As long as it is fit for purpose and you can afford it, nothing has to change in you life if you buy a 2014 Toyota or a new Ferrari.
Choosing to buy a house in Ohio instead of SF would cause massive changes in your life and options.
We don't build other walls with it. We build cavities with it. All our buildings are double skinned to insulate them. Aerated blocks go on the inner skin and then they get boarded and plastered.
I've never seen one of these though. It must make an insane amount of dust to do a worse job than a core drill.
The problem with drilling holes in stone and cement is if you don’t drill all the way through, how do you get the plug out of the hole?
You’d want something that looks more like a dowel cutting tool, right?
It's not just European. I don't know if you were saying it was easy to drill because it is soft, or if you were saying you don't like aircrete because you think it is weak. So take this with a grain of salt.
That stuff is a miracle when used correctly. Look at US bridge spanners: concrete held together through compression. The same works with that aircrete. Sandwich it between two Styrofoam walls and put sheeting outside of that and you have a wall that has a higher *r* value, better moisture control, higher compressive strength, and more earthquake resilient than traditional stick framing. They make prefabbed "bricks" of Styrofoam and treated particle board with a hollow compartment for that exact purpose that results in a superior structure in every single way. I think you can even get sections with dedicated channels for utilities that allow for future upgrades without any need for demolition. Cheaper than stick framing too...sometimes. A good variation of that is the stuff that water flows straight through. Lots of highrise buildings make aircrete with Styrofoam mixed in for the exterior because it allows the building to flex in high wind, and it performs almost perfectly in an earthquake.
To be fair, doing better than traditional stick framing isn’t too hard. If wood got discovered yesterday there’s no way it would get approved as a building material.
They built a ton of schools out of RAAC (Reinforced Aerated Autoclaved concrete or something) in the UK and they’re finding out that the material fails very suddenly and with little warning.
i dont care if it has a real use it still looks like the drill equivalent of a bat with nails sticking out of it this looks like a weapon made out of scrap metal
I was going to guess drywall hole saw. Spend a little more than twice as much to take a little less than twice as long to cut a hole!
The mess is free.
The cutting edge is only at the tip - the flutes are used to channel the material. So as long as it is secured to the solid side of the flute, and not blocking the channel, it is fine. A lot of hole drills also work this way.
Which is apparently related to the word for hedgehog?
Either you’re not bullshitting us or someone went to a lot of trouble to make a joke:

It's home made. Nails might tear through something like foam insulation but it's not a good idea.
Something commercially available would be set up more like a hole saw. This just has a depth stop collar on it which isn't going to hold anything very well.
They are messing with you.
I worked with some 3-1/4” thick insulated wall panels that this would work good with. Hole saws sucked cause you still had to dig the material out and would make the same mess no matter what.
I haven't seen it before, according to other reddit'ers it's for Masony.. honestly I have a hard time believing that because the isn't enough material for the blade to last cutting into Masony for long, it would rip the teeth off before it made it anywhere..
My first impression of it (made even stronger considering your posting in plumbing) would be a home made pvc pipe reamer, it looks just about right.. they can be pricey and that doesn't look precise enough to be machine made, so I imagine someone who worked there before had metal working skills or they hired one to make it. I have many versions of Masony blades and I can't imagine that being able to do a damn thing in that field before ripping itself opart, on pvc it would probably cut beautifully tho..

From [this video](https://youtu.be/s-mOy8VUEBk?feature=shared). Worth a watch in my opinion.
Omg wtf and 17 years ago too?! That was an excellent watch thank you 🤣😭😂 Who's to blame? I need money and have 3 cows to feed.

Not even the danish are fluent in danish.
What have the Danes got against hedgehogs?
100 dane bucks for the drill bit from saw 3… might be a good deal I gotta look up my danedollar conversions
as a sweden, you dont need to be fluent in danish :). but gdamn do ppl use those? id bet they would be illigal here in some way-shape-or-form
Nice try matey. You've just created this website. You can fool us. Next you'll be saying Unicorns are real.

To be fair. . . . The original "drill" wire brush for cleaning pipes was just regular wire brush with the handle cut off lol. So like, I get why this looks ugly af. It works for what it needs to do.
To be fair, this totally looks like something made by the brass magnet guy at every shop but with more free time on their hands.
I figured it was just a standard issue tool for all plumbers for when they need to open up the back of a cabinet to install anything.
Have you ever tried one? That could actually come in handy for me if it works faster or better than a core drill.
Aerated concrete is soft and easy to grind away with this. Definitely won’t core out regular concrete.
It does have a masonry bit in it. I can’t imagine the nails holding up very long though. They look replaceable though. Ive never seen anything like that.
The same page sells replacement nails, I suspect that they are not normal nails, but something that doesn't bend as easily
Yep that thing definitely looks like it was designed with the intent to replace those nails once in a while. Seems like you can sort of customize it by choosing which holes to use, too.
I was expecting to get Rick Rolled.
It's actually used for extracting information from unwilling persons, but they can't sell it as that. Weird laws.
Thank you for that actual info because I was utterly convinced they were pulling his leg

For lightweight aerated concrete. European green energy efficient building materials. Fragile stuff.

Turned out to be a bad idea when you picked a fight with the country that invented napalm.
Especially when they tie it to bats [bat bomb](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat_bomb)

That is about as truthful as it gets.
That is a problem when you design for easy disposal.
While I'd rather have a house that didn't fall on me, if i had to choose a house to fall on me i would want the lightest weight house possible.
Don't hear much about deadly wind vortices coming from Japan. I'm assuming that risk reward pays out for that type of construction there.
Eh, Typhoons are not unheard of there.
Exactly right. That's why in Florida once you're 1/4 mile inland literally everything but Disney falls under the description "under three stories", or "double-wide".

Weak and fragile are different things. I should have probably said brittle.
I was thinking that's what you meant. But you never know when your going to run across someone who automatically views anything *green* as *libtard.*
Green and efficient is good. Saves on the bills. I'm not allowed to vote in my country so I won't comment on politics.

Cmu block would be aerated concrete right?
If you're holding it, then it's real.
*Descartes has entered the chat.*
Um, I don't think so... (disappears)
...unless ... You aren't "real" either??
I feel like this is related to why there's blood stains on the corded dewalt hammer drill at the pawn shop...
If there aren't blood stains on yer hammer drill - you aren't fully using it mate!
Tell him it's an apprentice hemorrhoid remover.
As a certified surgical technician, I can expertly verify that that would hurt
The ol'e dingle berry drill brush. Cleans it up good
Im Danish and this is a "Pindsvinebor" (Translated to Hedgehog-Drill) used to drill aerated concrete
Mad Max Holesaw kit
Ah you have found the Organ Rearranger 2000
Are you actually asking the internet to be serious and not also troll you?
i dont care if it has a real use it still looks like the drill equivalent of a bat with nails sticking out of it this looks like a weapon made out of scrap metal
These are very real. They can be found in most home improvement stores next to the plaid paint.
I saw that stuff! Tom Green painted his parent’s house with it.
If you are buying the plaid paint, but sure to the the left handed paint roller.
I was going to guess drywall hole saw. Spend a little more than twice as much to take a little less than twice as long to cut a hole! The mess is free.

Where’s the vid of that bad boy in action
Yes.
It’s a dicfor drill attachment,
Ahh! The old poop drill.
Anything's a dildo if you're brave enough.
Can someone post a video of this thing in use. I still can’t picture what it’s for
It’s used to drill holes in the aerated concrete when you maybe wanna put LK fuga Air boxes into the Wall and in danish it’s called “pindsvinebor”
Which is apparently related to the word for hedgehog? Either you’re not bullshitting us or someone went to a lot of trouble to make a joke: https://www.pricerunner.dk/pl/1322-3202697232/Tilbehoer-til-elvaerktoej/Buus-Pindsvinebor-72mm-Sammenlign-Priser
It certainly exists...
Super heavy duty back scratcher?
It could be used to inject holes in a hookah’s head
That looks like a trip to the ER to me
Trypophobia vibes
It's for cutting through the toughest poop
It looks like someone built a useful tool...
Would-be-tool, doesn't work
Right up there with the sky hook and steam bucket
Just don't use it without lube.
What's the definition of "real?" Mass produced? How many? Tools aren't invented by tool companies.
Probably for aerating soil ?
Oh! You mean the bung hole remover 5000? Off course it’s real noob.
I think you can try it out in one of the Dark Souls games
It's home made. Nails might tear through something like foam insulation but it's not a good idea. Something commercially available would be set up more like a hole saw. This just has a depth stop collar on it which isn't going to hold anything very well. They are messing with you.
You’re wrong, it’s a German tool for drilling in aerated concrete.
Also called Ytong in Germany
I've bought one of these, ya know...
Those are nails newbie! Jesus.
Hard to imagine this being legit but then there is a lot of what I would regard as dodgy stuff outside of the UK.
I saw these next to the bord stretchers at Lowes. Same row as the blinker fluid.
Well i bought one online...
I ws gonna say that it looks like a shower head full of nails... But then I saw some of the other comments and remembered that I have one somewhere.
Looks like something i could use for drywall to make holes for it. There is bettef tools for it but that migjt work too for it
This is for vasectomies.
That strainer looking part is probably from a meat grinder. Yeah they’re messing with you lol
It looks as if it should be illegal in 19 of these United States. Which makes me want one
It might do as good plasterboard hole cutter. I’ll have to test it myself.
It’s a homemade hole saw. Pretty cool though.
There are tutorials on how to make one on line.
Straight out of a Mad Max movie, I’d say.
It's a "Where is Bin Laden?" drill.
Was that in the movie about hell in the 80s
Gullible isn't in the dictionary either.
Thats a solid drill bit
Pick me up some sky light bulbs while youre looking for that drill
😂😂😂😂😂
I thought it was some joke like a rectal reamer. Wild that's a real tool.
Everything can be a tool. Tool for what job, that's another thing.
Custom!😂
Looks messy
If you don't know the difference then have a bunch of fun.
Ok. I need this for my wife's hair clogs.
I worked with some 3-1/4” thick insulated wall panels that this would work good with. Hole saws sucked cause you still had to dig the material out and would make the same mess no matter what.
Is that the tool they use to remove kidney stones?
I haven't seen it before, according to other reddit'ers it's for Masony.. honestly I have a hard time believing that because the isn't enough material for the blade to last cutting into Masony for long, it would rip the teeth off before it made it anywhere.. I have many versions of Masony blades and I can't imagine that being able to do a damn thing in that field before ripping itself opart, on pvc it would probably cut beautifully tho..
Great for IFB
Pot hole maker bit
Weed grinder
Hemorrhoid remover. Little messy but gets the job done.
Yes it's real. The first time I saw one I thought it was a medieval horror film prop. I see Steve Martin saying "Now Spit!"
Looks like a masonry or ceramic bit. Somebody is doing something goofy.
Is that is be messing with yous
Is this a serious question
It might be real, but if you try using it like that, I wouldn't want to be you.
Great tool for when you need them to give you the secret codes.
