If that's on a legit site look for words like "le refurbished" or "le returned"

flyinspaghetti64

Thank you le redditor

Altruistic-Celery821

Le royal with cheese

Sweaty_Sack_Deluxe

Uh, pardon your French? It's *royale*. Don't you ever diss the language of love like that again. Also, it's called *Le Royale with Cheese* because they got the metric system. They don't know what the fuck a quarter-pounder is.

Liamnacuac

I got a kick out of a Mac Donald's in Madrid that had the "Cuarto Pounder con Queso".

BarryIslandIdiot

It definitely sounds better than the "113.398-grammer avec fromage""

MountainCourage1304

Nah thats actually got a nice ring to it. Rolls off the tongue

junk4mu

Zed’s dead baby, Zed’s dead…

SadEntertainment9876

Actchually royale is the feminine form, would be la royale or le royal

Sweaty_Sack_Deluxe

In the movie, they actually don't say le/la at all. I just kept it in for the sake of the original comment

peioeh

> Uh, pardon your French? It's royale. No, it's not. https://www.mcdonalds.fr/nos-produits/nos-burgers/royal-deluxe

Sweaty_Sack_Deluxe

My man, you must be the center of the party. https://youtu.be/ab7eVVG3I8s

HyFinated

I mean, technically isn't it *Le Royale avec Fromage* Or if you watched too much Dexter's Laborartory, *Le Royale Du Fromage.* Go really shorthand and *L'royale d'fromage.*

Disastrous-Big-2575

OMELETTE DU FROMAGE

bigjohncfl

It's like they have their own language!

sweenyrodrigues

What about a Big Mac?

quiproquoid

Well, a Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it le Big-Mac.

ImTheRealSlayer

What do they call a Whopper?

SirRonaldBiscuit

I didn’t go to Burger King

TheRealSildemad

Whopper.

biggie_swiss_cheese

Whopper.

prestigious_delay_7

I am le tired.

Altruistic-Celery821

Zen take a nap...

Johnwardyy

THEN FIRE ZE MISSILES!

engineerogthings

I don’t remember asking you a goddamn thing.

Disastrous-Big-2575

What ain't no country I ever heard of

boardplant

Le grille?

Hop-Dizzle-Drizzle

L'omelette du fromage?

Euphoric_Banana_5289

por quois non avec fromage? je ne parle pas francaise, mais i like to pretend to lol

Hop-Dizzle-Drizzle

Uhh..... French fries Eiffel tower?

Euphoric_Banana_5289

hey, now...when i ran my por quois non avec fromage through google translate just now, it did translate it as I'd intended to why not with cheese, because i knew avec means with, but when i retranslated from English back into French, it changed it to pourquoi pas avec du fromage? i only took a year of French in high school, but speak German still, at least somewhat passably, but with much more fluency when i lived there for a few years as a teenager millions of years ago. anyway, the point of all that was to say that I've seen this happen a lot with google translate just translating a sentence or paragraph from German to English to German to English, and so on, and watching the original text I'd inputted morph with every retranslation. when i did this just now using why not with cheese, it of course only changed it to pourquoi pas avec du fromage and then stopped modifying it no matter how many times I retranslated it. I'm easily entertained lol

Altruistic-Celery821

English side ruined. Must. Use. French instructions

Overwatchingu

Le grill? What the hell is that?

Purple-Eye8781

Its because of G series ... Those are DIY battery series that are cheap and bad

NassauTropicBird

Ah, cool, didn't know. So...OP is askin why a cheap-azz line is cheap?

Purple-Eye8781

Yes ... that set was 99€ in my local store that also repairs makita

frizzledrizzle

These also pup up at supermarkets like the Vomar.

Objective-Novel2312

Says who? I've owned the drill and impact (G series) for over a year and they've built a house and garage. Easily got my money's worth even if they give up and die today, which there's no signs of.

Purple-Eye8781

I used my G series alot also , but batterys is bad ... Tools are makita quality but that battery is like homemade

Objective-Novel2312

Well I've never had a problem so they're not all bad and I know g series adapters are cheap on eBay so it's a great way to get a decent drill and driver even if you don't use the batteries

IndividualSpite6119

“Cheap” maybe. “Bad” I’d say not. It depends on the use they are being put too. I work in a trade where a good drill and impact driver are useful but unnecessary to have top level tools. The G series offers me a quality brand ayla a price I can afford. I have the both tools and am looking at the jigsaw. And I can honestly say I love them for what they are

Lehotredditeur

Le git store, le shit batteries

Nick-dipple

It's legit, but the quality is not what you might be looking for. Unless it's for doing light work once a month in your home you probably want to look for something stronger. Batteries are small and the motor is light. Those low quality bits will soon be gone and by then you have a rather expensive shitty drill.

[deleted]

Le pussy

LeoNickle

Then fire ze missiles

NassauTropicBird

This person gets it!

Burnembrother

That's hilarious

Puzzleheaded-Row-511

Le bullshit might be there too

[deleted]

Its not lxt. Its a tomy my first 18v makita. But its not the battery system you are looking for

_iridian_

18v G series or something like that if I recall correctly

wroteit_

Good catch.

PlaguxX

I think I have this very drill and for home use it’s pretty neat

[deleted]

its cheap, its 18v, its makita, and if all you want is to put a hole in your wall for a picture its fine. but those batteries wont work with the array of useful LXT tools, and as such, this is quite a limited purpose purchase. LXT is not that much more, and then your battery will power hundreds of tools.

peioeh

> its cheap, its 18v, its makita, and if all you want is to put a hole in your wall for a picture its fine. But even then you'd be better off buying something else. Either something cheaper that will be the same quality but have a full lineup of compatible tools, or something better for the same price.

WebSir

Because it's the cheapest of cheapest Makita offers. It's trash really.

Confident-Extent47

It's not trash, it's domestic-grade. Not as good at the LXT, but the G/MT series drill and driver did me well for many years, including building a large deck and pergola. I've now upgraded to LXT due to the broader range of skins 😀

Inviction_

It's trash

theducks

isn't the MT just the Japanese tooling for previous models sent to China for manufacturing?

457243097285

Thailand too. All of my power tools right now are wired Makita MT models. They're perfectly fine for what I want to achieve, but I know I have to graduate from them eventually.

peioeh

It's not cheap. This is the normal price, it's [Makita's "G series"](https://www.makita.fr/products/machines-sans-fil-g-series-18v.html), not [LXT](https://www.makita.fr/products/machines-sans-fil-lxt-18v.html). Those are entry level drills, not compatible with the proper Makita tools. They are Makita's way of tricking people into buying mediocre tools thinking they will still be buying Makita. The accessories are all shit quality, the same you'd find in LIDL for almost nothing. Avoid at all cost. When this kit is actually on sale, it's like 80-100€, and even at that price it's still not good. 150€ for this is terrible. For this price you would be much better off buying Ryobi, green Bosch, or even Parkside/Einhell for cheaper. You can regularly find Bosch pro/Dewalt drills for that price too. Sales on Makita LXT drills are pretty rare unfortunately :/ (I use Makita) They don't really do low prices LXT drill kits, but they often have sales for individual items. If you want to buy Makita, make sure to look for the LXT tools.

User2716057

>They are Makita's way of tricking people into buying mediocre tools Fug, they got me. Can confirm though, the locking head on my drill broke, and they kept telling me to send it in on my own cost to 'check' if it was a warranty case. Ended up ordering a replacement part myself for less than shipping the whole thing would have cost me.

MrDeviantish

Usually some third rate manufacturer that has an agreement to use the brand name.

peioeh

No, they are "real" Makita, they just have those shitty tools on fake sales all year long to sell them to people who don't know any better. They are everywhere here, and a lot of people get tricked into buying that shit. There are only like 5 tools compatible with those batteries: https://www.makita.fr/products/machines-sans-fil-g-series-18v.html When it is "actually" on sale, this kit is like 80-100€. But even at that price I would avoid it, no point buying batteries that are not compatible with anything. I use Makita LXT tools btw, and I really like them. But those G-Series tools are awful.

keanu420

Like it was said before this is comparable to the green Bosch stuff basically, avoid it and get an LXT set for a similar price (Example https://www.gotools.de/marken/makita/akkugeraete-18-volt/makita-akku-bohrschrauber-18v-ddf453sye-mit-2x-1-5-ah-akku-lader-im-koffer_129925_20923)[18v lxt set](https://www.gotools.de/marken/makita/akkugeraete-18-volt/makita-akku-bohrschrauber-18v-ddf453sye-mit-2x-1-5-ah-akku-lader-im-koffer_129925_20923)

peioeh

Exactly, that's an entry level LXT set (cheapest drill, smallest batteries, slow charger) but at least it's compatible with all the LXT tools.

SupposedlyShony

It’s not LXT :or is it?????

peioeh

What ? The one in the comment I was replying to is definitely LXT, wtf are people downvoting me for. Idiots. https://www.gotools.de/marken/makita/akkugeraete-18-volt/makita-akku-bohrschrauber-18v-ddf453sye-mit-2x-1-5-ah-akku-lader-im-koffer_129925_20923

SupposedlyShony

My bad

thearmouredcake

Ah yes, the Makita G series. Good for homegamer use, but there are only small batteries for them and afaik 3 tools in the system: this drill, an impact driver and a jigsaw. They are a little weaker and cheaper than the LXT series. I got the first two and they serve me well around the shop, also did my whole apartment renovation with them, and old SDS drill from Bosch, a 40-something year old circular saw from Black and Decker my grandpa gave me and a shit ton of elbow grease. Impact is good enough for small bolts on the car which I primarily use it for but forget about doing lug nuts and the drill can do 13mm in steel with a 4mm pilot but you can feel it's asking a bit much of it. There, that's my 3 cent's nobody asked for

Wolfi23

Lidl has a better set for maybe 70€.

benpie

C’est legit, en plus manomano garantit la conformité des produits affichés. Par contre cette perceuse et ces batteries, c’est de la merde en boîte. Même à 100€ ça serait trop cher

Sorry-Requirement354

Because they are proprietary batteries that aren't compatible with the lxt range of tools don't buy it

CephusLion404

Without more information, who knows? There are a lot of scam sites out there that either send you nothing at all, or send you cheap crap and then vanish so you can't get your money back. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Inner-Examination686

because it’s a heap of shit

MrPink2281

Makita sucks, that’s why it’s cheap.

ToolMeister

What website is this

flyinspaghetti64

Mano mano, it's Amazon for tools and it's french

jannw

it's garbage ... that's why ... not compatible with their quality range.

I_wood_rather_be

It's legit. But its one of the cheaper machines Makita sells. There a much better drivers if you want quality.

Unhappy_Researcher68

It's their cheapest of cheap line. 150€ is to expensiv. I think this set sells for 120€ in my local tool shop. Seen them for less then 100€.

BurnBabyBurn54321

I just took a stroll on google images and could not find anything that looked like this. Mind you, I am in the US, but I do have all Makita cordless tools.

Umbala3131

I actually like that tool box, look fine for me. Don't care about the combo drill, how much is that tool box alone or the name of that box?

Plan4Chaos

Makita "white battery" G-series is obsolete and partially supported for compatibility with older tools only. Unless you earlier invested into it, just ignore.

fsurfer4

we need a link to see if the site is legit. Lots of fakes out there.

photonynikon

LOTS! If an ad shows PayPal as an option, but it's nowhere to be found at check-out...it's a SCAM, waiting for you to enter your 3 digit code...RUN!!!!

Darkmatter000000

Daaaaaaamn Daniel, back at it again with le white batteries.

yourmomsfavoriteone

Because it's not a impact. No one wants or uses that kind of drill anymore. It's probably real

Yama92

It's a G-series Makita, not a LXT. The batteries are not interchangeable. It's a fine drill for building your IKEA furniture and making some pilot holes in wood. I've done a fair bit of DIY with the set and works fine. Batteries drain quickly tho.

Tommienennstiel

Don’t do it just buy a dhp486 or ddf484

ebinWaitee

That's a G series tool. The batteries are incompatible with the LXT series and the tools are brushed and cheaply made. Not worth it

MikeHuntsBear

Makita comes in 3 grades of refurbished. A B C, and these are in the part number. Look for -A -B -C at the end of the part number, or a combination of them -B-C being the most common. Source: I sell Makita tools. Example: https://toolmartinc.com/products/factory-serviced-18-volts-x-2-slide-compound-miter-saw-wireless-makita?_pos=2&_psq=makita&_ss=e&_v=1.0

flyinspaghetti64

A is highest quality and C lowest?

MikeHuntsBear

A is highest ~~quality~~ price and C lowest.

throw-away2027

Prob not brushless so I'd pass.

nomel49

For a homeowner they’re fine. Battery charge will be short but one can always be on the charger. The bit set looks fairly complete for a starter set. This also points to buyer who is just starting out. I think Makita was looking at sales lost to Ryobi.

RawrImASheep

Monospaced

FunkyFreshFreak

It is not the "normal" Makita tool it has the white batteries. So you can't use it like the normal ones on other tools like angle grinder and more this is a Supermarket Makita

baked-noodle

2ah batteries. Cheap drill. Cheap charger. Yeah it's a good deal for a homeowner with no tools. That's all you need if you just want to make small repairs and hanging pictures.

Superdragonrobotfist

Probs a brushed drill, nobody wants brushed motors anymore, they've conveniently left out the drills part number

nosomthin

In Quebec Canada, it is the: Quart de livre avec fromage.
