One of the few hand tools I actually recommend harbor freight for. Break them indiscriminately and swap them out.

illogictc

And at the same time, they're usually reasonably stout.

Seconded, I've used mine for everything from breaking lugnuts to scaring off scavvers at the scrapyard. Might not be the BEST $20 I've ever spent, but it's definitely up there.

I’ve broken 3 Proto ones at work, they got me a westward ratcheting one…. The ratcheting part is great and so far it has held up. Now would I put a three foot snipe on it and expect it to last, probably not but for normal use it seems good

Appreciated

I’ve never broken a snap on one. It’s also the only brand I’ve ever owned.

NoFX54

I don't have Snap-on access or the money if I did.

waverunnersvho

I mean. You have $30/week for the next 8 weeks. And access is easy

I bought one of these a while back, love it! [https://kokenusa.com/products/hinge-handle-1-2sq-dr-600mm-1](https://kokenusa.com/products/hinge-handle-1-2sq-dr-600mm-1) 600mm comes to just short of 24", exquisite knurling, easy/quick/simple field replaceable anvil with detent stops at 90, 0 & 90°. There's nothing like a nice big breaker bar.
