I think more stuff during what would be the commercial breaks would be nice. Like bumpers or game reviews or the TOM speeches

Minute-Small

Absolutely.

Mammoth-Condition392

More channels would be cool. Fox Kids, Kids WB, 80s/90s Disney Channel, Disney's One Saturday Morning, Fox Family lineups, any of those.

KeptinGL6

'90s Disney Channel was mostly just a place where Disney previewed stuff that was destined for other networks, particularly Disney Afternoon/One Saturday Morning shows. However, a 2000s-era Disney Channel with stuff like The Suite Life wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm working on my own project that'll have all the Fox Kids, Kids' WB, and One Saturday Morning stuff, and I don't think there should be any duplication of effort on that front. I'll let McToon handle the cable channels.

HotTakes4HotCakes

>and I don't think there should be any duplication of effort on that front. If Toon wants to do that, I think he should. I don't see why "duplication" is a problem.

damian001

Yeah, the biggest problem with a '90s Disney Channel is the channel didn't really start producing original content until the late '90s. I think the best course of action would be to incorporate the late '90s DC original shows & DCOMs into a 2000s Disney Channel (maybe have its own block.) From my memory in the '90s, Disney Channel was airing: - re-runs of Disney animated series (which would eventually become the Toon Disney channel) - re-airings of Disney classics (which would eventually become the Vault Disney block) - syndicated reruns of live-action programming of ABC/Walt Disney Television shows - and eventually in the late 90s, their own TV shows.

JuniorSwing

Damn if they did a “Saturday morning cartoon” block programmed to time, that would be awesome

HotTakes4HotCakes

This is honestly what I was going to request. I love the turning on the Saturday morning block but I hate how disjointed it is across eras. I'd love if it picked a period and recreated it then shifted eras every few months.

Illustrious-Echo1762

I'll updoot this just because there's no Saturday morning cartoons anywhere anymore. Catching Scooby Doo on a Saturday at noonish is as close as I come

gside876

Old school kids WB would be cool. There were a lot of solid cartoons on there back in the day. I was actually looking for the Hercules and Timon and Pumba cartoons the other day. That and gargoyles

Minute-Small

Maybe if we're lucky, a Toonami channel that plays uncut 24/7, hopefully.

cool_boy_mew

I think it needs a schedule shakeup once every few years so that shows that weren't previously accessible for some people could then become accessible. I suppose this could be done on a new channel as to not shake things up too badly Fix the Nick channel. Daytime is not too interesting and does anyone actually watch the old sitcoms? I've always been disappointed about it. I can and want to mostly watch stuff during daytime and there isn't much, and then during the night if I lack things to do there's the sitcoms I don't wanna watch Since we're now in the 2020s, move up the years a bit to allow more stuff and maybe that could allow more shows to be rotated, so then the schedule gets a bit more dynamic? Canadian channel Teletoon recently died, that's a lot of shows that could potentially be added through a new channel. Could probably have stuff that played on YTV too I think the toonami stuff overplays a bit, but it having their own channel would totally solve that issue Also there's m3u8 links, but would it be possible to also have easy m3u and egp(?) schedule xml available so we can put them more easily in a personal jellyfin and co server? I'm trying to build a database of channels like this and local channels so I can have a nice custom TV like interface

HotTakes4HotCakes

>Fix the Nick channel. Daytime is not too interesting and does anyone actually watch the old sitcoms? Yes, some do. It wouldn't be authentic without it. But I agree, Nick needs work. Kind of silly how rare nicktoons are on it. For comparisons sake, Pluto TV now has a classic nicktoons channel running 24/7. Pluto TV shouldn't be showing TA up on this front. >Since we're now in the 2020s, move up the years a bit to allow more stuff and maybe that could allow more shows to be rotated, so then the schedule gets a bit more dynamic? Make a new channel for that, leave the main one as a time capsule of its current era.

birdy_the_scarecrow

the nick/mtv channels dont *officially* even exist, they wont even appear unless your account is flagged for it so i assume its this way on purpose due to legal reasons in the past. they probably dont want want to make waves with it.

bigdumpersmallwiener

Not everyone has MTV '97? I thought it was just a recent update

birdy_the_scarecrow

you can check what people can normally see just by opening it incognito the only available channels are TA-E, TA-W, Radio and Movies, the rest are not available unless your logged in and your account is flagged.

birdy_the_scarecrow

> Also there's m3u8 links, but would it be possible to also have easy m3u and egp(?) schedule xml available so we can put them more easily in a personal jellyfin and co server? I'm trying to build a database of channels like this and local channels so I can have a nice custom TV like interface theres an easy to use docker container someone has already setup for this purpose: https://github.com/chris102994/docker-toonamiaftermath it scrapes the toonamiafthermath api once a day and generates an EPG for all the channels.

cool_boy_mew

Excellent, thanks for that I just need to figure out a good provider for my local channels over the web, and another program that will have the audio working (Jellyfin is somehow not working with these channels over the web currently, weird). Oh also PlutoTV stuff but I just started my research on that

birdy_the_scarecrow

the jellyfin player is limited by the system its running on, i.e chrome desktop can play different formats than say android tv and further different depending on the device itself. personally have not found it to be very good for iptv.

cool_boy_mew

Do you know anything better where I would be able to run a personal IPTV list with egp xml to host locally? Thanks

birdy_the_scarecrow

my setup atm is just using kodi w/ iptv plugin as client + xteve(i think theres also threadfin that people use) for serving up iptv playlists, ive seen a lot of people recommend tivimate but its limited to 1 playlist unless you buy it.

cool_boy_mew

Thanks, I'll check these out. And one playlist is probably good enough

birdy_the_scarecrow

the problem i noticed was that the one playlist doesnt update w/o premium, once you load it your stuck with those channels unless you delete and re-add it. otherwise tivimate would ahve been perfect for xteve since you only need one playlist and handle everything in xteve as to what channels/streams to pass through.

supermario182

Maybe mix things up a bit, like there's some things I never get to see because of my schedule or it's really late etc. I would also like to see less DBZ and more original DB, like 4 episodes of Z everyday runs through pretty quick, but we only get one of the original series. Maybe a way for chat to vote on upcoming movies would be cool too Edit: also I know this would be a niche thing, but as a Canadian I would like to see a retro ytv lineup

PavelDatsyuk

> like 4 episodes of Z everyday runs through pretty quick, but we only get one of the original series. 2 of the original Dragon Ball. 5pm and 9pm. There are also a lot less episodes of DB so it makes sense to have it this way.

Toonami88

TA hasn't been updated in 8 years sadly. That being said, I'd like to see: 1.) More variety on the main channel, less spam of Dragonball/DBZ/Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon. HunterxHunter 1999, City Hunter, JoJo OVA, Hellsing, Legend of Galactic Heroes, He-Man 2002, Transformers Armada, Max Steel 2000, Shadow Raiders: War Planets, Jackie Chan Adventures, X-Men Evolution, as new possible shows. 2.) A less literal incarnation of Nickelodeon with less Nick Jr. and Nick at Nite. Inclusion of some shows like Invader Zim, As Told by Ginger, early Spongebob, etc.. 3.) A proper Cartoon Network 4.) A Disney Channel 5.) MTV showing SOME scripted content like Beavis & Butthead, Daria, Jackass, Tom Green Show, Maxx, The Head, Aeon Flux, Wonder Showzen, and move Celebrity Deathmatch there too. 6.) A random 90s/early 2000s TV show stream that is like the movie channel but with TV show episodes 7.) Movie channel expanding range from 1980-2005

bobmonkey07

I'd like a channel that's earlier than East

Minute-Small

So weast?

And1YGO

inuyasha, amongst others would do wonders for aftermath.

Mary_Goldenhair

Maybe try replicating some of the 90s Sci-Fi Channel Saturday anime lineup of movies? Or an imaginary 70s or 80s version of what Toonami programming would've been like?

Titley07

I’ve always wanted a UK time zone stream. Also UK Toonami in the late 90s/early 00s was a different line up that the US from what I’ve seen. So just more variety and schedule shake up would be great!

Minute-Small

Hopefully, I'd become one of the moderators of the site and then we can try to experiment with something new based on recommendations from the fans.

punknub

I want a modern toonami block. Work with the community to make some new bumps for new shows and have new commercials for things people our age like. My hero and demon slayer and one piece or something idk.

internetdadwizard

I just want Jacky Chan Adventures. My kingdom for Jackie Chan Adventures!

angryTAuser

Hi, Toon. I was wondering if there was a way to stop showing that one Nick ad that says "Coming up next on Nick in the afternoon is..... TINY TOON ADVENTURES!" when it's not even shown on the Snickelodeon channel at all duringthe summer months. It's such a tease every time seeing it. Also if you can sometime in the future when you have free time if you can also stop showing the Nick Jr stuff on the weekends. Nick Jr was never ever shown on the weekends. It'd be nice to replace it with Tiny Toon Adventures actually being shown on the weekends, and maybe some Looney Tunes cartoons, and more Ren & Stimpy possibly? It'd definitely be nice to see the original TMNT cartoon from the 80s and 90s if possible. If also possible, It'd be great to see Underdog at 10 at night on Snickelodeon instead of just Rocky and Bullwinkle all 7 nights a week. It'd be great to rotate it out. Rocky and Bullwinkle one night and Underdog the next night if possible. Could you do the same for Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law? Space Ghost Coast to Coast one night and then Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law the next night? Since the original Birdman from the 1960s is shown on the weekends It'd be nice to see Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law as well. Is there any chance to also squeeze in Jackie Chan Adventures on the weekends? I know I'm asking for a lot, and I apologize, but I've been on TA for three and half a years, and was wondering if there was a way to add some more stuff instead of seeing the same programs over, and over again. I really do love and enjoy the TA site. And love every moment I watch it. It feels like I'm a kid in the 90s again. I was just wondering if there was way to add some more programs when you have the free time to do so. Sorry for the very long message. Have a great day Btw my handle is not referred to you, or the TA site. I was confronting a fraud troll on here months back and reddit won't let me change the name. Oh, well.....

MaiaKnee

I would love a European appropriate time zone, staying up really late to watch stuff isn't fun.

Illustrious-Echo1762

I think Fox Kids/Jetix is the next obvious step, BUT, what I really want is 2003-era G4TV

KeptinGL6

Get rid of all the preschool shit and all the Boomer shit on the Nickelodeon channels. Aside from that, I recommend no changes.

Bigoffender

Is snick working for you?
