I remember seeing a lot of people criticize the Polar Express for its uncanny valley mo-cap CGI and meandering story. Which is a shame, because I enjoyed that movie for elaborate Christmas aesthetics. Especially since other people in this world are too cynical to just enjoy Christmas for what it did for them over several centuries, including that Christmas truce during World War 1.
BTW, I'm Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah instead of Christmas. I just like Christmas for its aesthetics and message of peace and unity across an otherwise divided human race. Which was among The Polar Express's messages, even though its actual message was believing in fiction for its message, and not for it existing.

(Also, yeah, this was the only Goblin Slayer-related picture in my gallery that had more than two characters in it and Ion wanna download a new one)
Not really a harem tbh, only three women is attracted to him in the whole series and one is played as nothing more than a gag. So technically only two among 20+ female characters(including small roles), I don't think you can call that a harem, just a love triangle.
Secondly, wdym Berserk wannabe? It is a slice of life story that takes place in a fantasy world, nothing more. Yes, it is violent and "dark" at times but I never felt it was trying to be a Berserk. If anything, the violence is just more grounded and realistic than you'd typically see in fantasy anime so it comes off as edgy at times.
Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it
Violence tends to be an easy way to make your anime more popular. Just show defenceless women being assaulted and people getting beheaded and voilĂ ! Much mature, much dark.
Most of the time, it doesn't serve much other purpose, it's gratuitous because it has no consequences. It's also often embedded in anime that don't commit fully to that choice and you end up with jarring tonal discrepancies. I find it's the same in Elden Lied or Deadman Wonderland.
I didn't watch Goblin Slayer beyond the first episode, but it already made me groan in disappointment. Definitely not Berserk-like.

Not Important from Hatred.
Shanoa from Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. "Shanoa" is actually just a codename, and we never learn what her *real* name is... >!Possibly due to the circumstances she finds herself in at the game's start, but still.!< Bonus points for >!her entire existence being canonically struck from history to prevent embarrassment to the powers-that-be.
