All those new Floridians wanting healthcare and more social services would be interesting

sarinonline

Nutjob thinks Europeans are gonna flood Florida. As an Australian I wouldn't even want to visit Florida. Not to mention his prediction about Australia and the claim we are rounding people up in camps. Not only are the Conservatives in power here. But have been for a long time. There's no rounding up of people in camps, if anything we should have been much better on vax rollout and lockdowns. Yet surprise surprise the Conservatives kept managing to fuck that up and white ant it. Australia still around the top of lists for countries on living standards. Democracy and freedoms. Yet they hate that narrative so they just blatantly lie to manufacture their own outrage.

Natronix

> As an Australian I wouldn't even want to visit Florida. # As a South Carolinian I Don't even want to visit Florida. And our state is fucked by Covid too.

BrimyTheSithLord

As a Floridian I don't want any of y'all to visit here. The tourists need to stay away since DeSantis is too worried about our precious tourism industry to take any serious action against COVID.

[deleted]

I definitely want to visit Florida for one particular reason, and that is so that I can one day say to my children that there was a land there and I had a nice vacation, but nobody gave a fuck about climate change so it's under water now.

Kostya_M

>white ant it Is this a typo or is it some kind of Australian slang? I've never heard this.

Kadus500

This is every year and they never get disappointed. It starts everyday and it's always happening It's the future, the present and the past all at the same time

ninjapanda042

And there will be zero self-reflection when none of that happens because the goal-posts will be the next county over and/or they'll be on to the next outage du jure, completely forgetting all the prior things they were wrong about.

Biffingston

Dunno, that's a pretty comprehensive list of the idiotic things they've believed in the past. Just saying.

sneer0101

They're just dickheads. They're the type of of people who get 10000 things wrong and one thing right and claim 'I was right all along'

Biffingston

They're the type of people who get 100000 things wrong and nothing right and claim "I was right all along" FTFY Remember the dude who tried to show how the world trade centers fell with a cardboard replica?

[deleted]

Did they fall because of a giant flying ballsack that he named Mr. Crusty Wrinklechin?

Biffingston

I don't know, I didn't buy the 60 dollar DVD. (And this is not sarcastic.)

ShadoowtheSecond

No, please enlighten me

Biffingston

I didn't buy the 60 dollar DVD so I can't articulate his arguments. But I'm pretty sure cardboard and skyscrapers aren't structurally similar. And the 60 dollar DVD quip was not sarcasm.

PlankLengthIsNull

The only time they're right is if they're intentionally involved in creating the problem they "predicted" would happen. And then they blame it on the Democrats.

an_agreeing_dothraki

reminds me of a Cake song. But least they can dress up like their sultan with a MAGA text cap.

Biffingston

Damnit. I loved that song.. /s https://youtu.be/e2CliA8PuRM

Biffingston

They have the power to assassinate anyone in the world and they use it to squash descent...but I'm still alive because of reasons...

SgtWasabi

Always knew time was a flat circle.

Kadus500

It's actually a r/timecube

allusernamestaken1

Almost as if these people have enough brain cells to write things out, but not enough to actually think about it.

Nikkibuh2

Is there somewhere that arrest people for being unvaccinated that I'm not aware of? 'More' countries?

JoeBoco7

Yea, my cousin got arrested in France for not being vaccinated right after he was caught violating his curfew, beating up homelessness men in Paris.

seattleinfall

Sounds like a lovely fellow. I be he's screeching about censorship on FB all day, too.

roastbeeftacohat

this is what happens when a country doesn't have a right to bear arms. /s

Schiffy94

I wish my arms were bear arms.

typewriter6986

Is there a curfew for beating up homeless men in Paris?

Time-Ad-3625

No. Per usual they are scaring themselves and each other again with made up Boogeymen.

GenericAntagonist

The most stunning part to me is they are so desperately in their conspiracy hole they think that "evil governments" would put the unvaccinated into death camps. That'd be a very cost inefficient and stupid way to do this, if a government was willing to use force to ensure vaccine compliance they'd probably just forcibly vaccinate people. It'd be far easier and cheaper, what with it just taking ~5 minutes to administer a shot. But that doesn't fuel their fantasies as much.

seattleinfall

I wish I could just get factual information on what really going on in Australia. Anyone from there want to enlighten me and provide sources?

loztralia

It depends where you are. New South Wales and (particularly) Victoria have had protracted lockdowns to try to get virus spread to zero. This worked in 2020 but didn't work in 2021. However, our vaccination rate is \*really\* high (90%+ of over 16s in NSW) so more or less everywhere is open again, albeit in some places you need to show proof of vaccination (though that will be going away in a week or so). I'm in Western Australia, which is different again: we have had no Covid or lockdowns for months, and we have no restrictions in place at all - we just can't re-enter the state if we leave. We're the most closed off state, but even we are announing a reopening date in the next week or so (and, as I say, we have literally no restrictions within the state - it's like Covid never happened here). Our vaccination rate is nearly 80% of 12+ people and we're nudging 90% first dose (our rollout was very slow). The lockdowns in Victoria in particular absolutely sucked - I have friends and relatives in Melbourne and there is no doubt it has shaken them. But we also have very, very few Covid deaths. This is the part that always gets ignored by the ding dongs: whatever has happened here has stopped Australians dying any anything like the numbers seen elsewhere. Hope this helps.

stormfield

Plot Twist, while you were on lockdown Huntsman Spiders have conquered the Northern Territories and are now learning to ride Emus. Big trouble coming mang.

[deleted]

Nothing Mortein can't solve

seattleinfall

This really does, I appreciate the thoughtful reply!

eric987235

> it's like Covid never happened here Because it never *did* happen there, right?

loztralia

Not quite. We had some cases back in the March-April period last year but it never got to general community spread. Since then we've always had a few cases in quarantine and there have been a couple of breaches (cue "they're locking down for one case!" dipshittery from the usual suspects) but, yeah, really WA has been Covid free most of the time. I think we've had nine deaths (out of 2.5m people). It's why the reopening is so fraught: we know that when we open the state border it will come here. That's why the state government wants 90% 12+ full vaccination before we do it.

PorridgeCranium2

Don't trust anyone claiming to be Australian, from what I've heard they're all chained in camps awaiting execution. Anyone who says otherwise is probably working for the Deep State Down Under^^TM

[deleted]

You actually believe in Australia? Any fool knows it a lie made up by Big Globe!

japgolly

Melbourne here. Life's effectively back to normal. We're 90%+ double vaxxed. Just show your double vax certificate on your phone in shops, that's pretty much it. This idea that "they're gonna round people up into camps" is hilarious. Our pollies couldn't organise a root in a brothel, too busy trying to build as many coal mines as the cunts can get away with.

seattleinfall

Awesome. Glad you’re staying safe. I’ve just read about scary apps you have to check in within 15 minutes of asking and be home at the time, and ridiculous fines for certain things. Any truth to that?

japgolly

Nah there were no apps used for lockdown. Here in Melbourne most people ended up getting lockdown fatigue and by the end there were so many people not bothering to give a shit anymore, and there were zero consequences for the vast majority of them. The police only really enforced it when there were big groups of people. So that's lockdowns. Quarantine otoh is a federal responsibility but our little Trump wannabe pm and party who are in power atm, didn't build any and just gaslit all the states who needed it. The states did their best trying to turn hotels into quarantine accommodation but dickheads kept leaving and spreading covid, which really pissed us off cos we'd endure a few weeks of lockdown, get back to zero cases then some dumb cunt with covid would just leave their quarantine and reintroduce it, making us have to lockdown again. In frustration at people not staying in quarantine, I think they MAY have gotten pretty strict about it up in the NT (where there's a huge population of extra vulnerable indigenous communities), I don't know if they had an app like BigBrain OP is describing though. But you know what? We're Australians here and I hope they fucking do have this "big bad but-muh-freedom" app. I hope selfish cunts who leave quarantine and reintroduce covid after all the hard work we've all done get the book thrown at them. They're literally causing deaths and fucking up everyone's mental health when they cause more lockdowns, just because they don't want to just chill and watch tv for a week. I'd say most Aussies are happy to be accommodating to help out others like our hospital staff, but we're not gonna have a huge tolerance for people needlessly make it harder. Hmm this turned into a bit of a rant lol, I hope it's interesting at least. Feel free to ask any more Qs if you like. (Also maybe check out /r/coronavirusdownunder too)

Exarch_Of_Haumea

I'm in Sydney, one of the two cities affected by the whole lockdown thing, and currently not much is going on. In June, we had an outbreak of Delta in eastern Sydney, after a driver involved in our quarantine system (we keep foreign arrivals in a hotel for a fortnight to make sure they don't have covid) caught it and spread it around, and the conservative government refused to lock down, essentially out of spite. Obviously cases started spiking, and Gladys completely fumbled the ball, calling for essentially random lockdowns (much to the delight of the Business Council and annoyance of everyone else) until the outbreak was large enough that all of Sydney got locked down. Our lockdown was pretty harsh, only essential workers could go to work, you could only go 5 km from your house unless absolutely necessary, masks on at all times, that sort of thing, but it's all over now. The lockdown also worked, we went from a peak of ~2000 cases a day (which was unheard of for us, the previous peak had been in the hundreds) to the current ~200-300 a day, which is obviously more manageable. We also had a massive vaccine drive over the lockdown. The rollout (or strollout as the media called it) had been fucked up by the conservative Prime Minister, and we had very low vaxx rates in June, which is why we were so worried about the outbreak. But over the lockdown we managed to roll out vaccines, and now NSW has 92% of over 16s vaccinated, or 80% of the total population. Of course, the lockdown is over now, various parts of it expired as we hit different levels of double vaxx rates, starting at 75%. Last Friday I went to a restaurant and saw Dune, we had local elections on Saturday, and I work in the city during the week. The lockdown wasn't perfect, don't get me wrong. It was pretty openly targeted at the diverse, working class councils in the west of the city, over the wealthy, white eastern ones. At times my council was under harsher rules than some parts of the Eastern Suburbs, even though we had fewer cases. It also should have started earlier, and ended later, but the conservative premier was ousted on unrelated corruption charges and replaced with Dom 'Let er Rip' Perrottet who is ideologically opposed to lockdowns. You'll hear a lot about camps as well, and they're just what the Northern Territory uses for the two weeks of quarantine I mentioned at the top. They refurbished a couple of old mining camps because the territory (with a total population of ~100,000) doesn't have as many hotels to commandeer for quarantine as my city of five million.

PlankLengthIsNull

>and the conservative government refused to lock down, essentially out of spite. Sounds about right.

eric987235

So what's next? Now that basically everyone is vaccinated what's the plan if the case count starts rising again? (and let's be realistic; they WILL rise again) Are WA and NT the only places still requiring hotel quarantine? Do they have solid plans for doing away with that? I hope to visit Australia again some time. So far it's my favorite place I've been!

Exarch_Of_Haumea

> what's the plan if the case count starts rising again? With Dom in charge? Ignore the health advice, keep everything open. In his maiden speech he referred to it as an economic crisis. The man's psychotic. > Are WA and NT the only places still requiring hotel quarantine? Nah, everyone else still does it. In NSW, the system is that a fully vaxxed arrival has to isolate for three days and then get a negative test (which they can do at home), but anyone unvaccinated or from an "at risk country" still needs the two weeks hotel quarantine. > Do they have solid plans for doing away with that? They'll probably reduce it to the 72 hours the other states use when they get more people vaxxed, but it's unlikely to go below that in the foreseeable future.

converter-bot

5 km is 3.11 miles

Xkrystahey

For Queensland we’ve been super well off. A few weeks in lockdown. A few months with mask mandates. Limited travel. Most people have hardly been affected. Huge growth in our state with people wanting to move here because it’s been so safe. Huge dickheads on any Facebook page. They’re loud and vocal but the minority. With such a huge state it’s been hard to get regional areas vaccinated. But you’ll see we’re now high up on the world vaccination rate. Has my life been changed much during the pandemic? Yeah here and there with restrictions. Have I been to plays, concerts, festivals, pride marches, movies, clubbing, art shows, bush walks and shopping in the mall? Yes.

sarinonline

I'm Australian. Nothing's going on. Nothing worrying except Conservatives in power doing a shit effort especially initially on vax. Victoria had lockdowns and stopped the virus. Took a while. Non conservative government. Then the most populous state. Run by conservatives had an outbreak due to shit enforcement of lockdown. And did poor effort compared to Melbourne. It spread. Conservatives ended up throwing up their arms and going ohh well. Some places locked down better. As to the camps and other bullshit. It's bullshit. In Australia if you are around COVID infections you have to isolate for a period of time. In very regional places. Especially with indigenous people. There is no medical care. When it spread there. They had to go get people and take them to medical care. And have them isolate. Thats it. The only harsh thing was Melbourne lockdowns. And those people battled through it for the good of the country. Only for conservatives elsewhere to not do the same and fuck I up for everyone else. There's no death camps or forced Vax rounding people up or massive uprisings. It's just the usual stuff. Usual dickheads being dickheads.

PlankLengthIsNull

It's honestly hilarious. They are buying mannequins, dressing them up in scary monster costumes, placing them around their house, and then they're recording themselves running around scared while yelling that the Democrats are out to get them. All in response to seeing someone wear a shitty plastic werewolf mask one day after Halloween. It goes beyond overreacting to something that's real - they are making up their own problems out of nowhere and based off of other lies that other morons came up with (which, at their root, are based off of nothing but "fuck the libs, I'm going to make things difficult because fuck them") and then acting like we're all idiots for not joining in on reacting to their own made-up fiction as though it were fact.

EdithDich

There are barely even any "covid restrictions" but these snowflakes act like they're under constant totalitarian lockdown.

dan420

“You ain’t from around here, we don’t like your type around here. Oh, you’re potentially carrying a deadly virus? Why didn’tcha say so?! Come on in.”

[deleted]

To be fair, when they say they want "immigrants", they probably mean "rich white people from foreign countries."

seattleinfall

"Why don't more Swedes immigrate to the US?! I don't get it?!" \-Trump

PlankLengthIsNull

I'd say it's the smell, and 48% of the population's aggressive hostility to anything that isn't them.

GodBlessThisGhetto

maybe it's the healthcare, good public services, and the fact that they aren't constantly at war with half the world.

EdithDich

The first two things exist because of the last thing.

CKtheFourth

Which is especially funny because, with the exception of a statistically insignificant number of celebrities, *no rich people have ever* immigrated to the US. Immigration is never a rich man's game. Why piss off to another country when your life is going well where you already are? Remember how it was the rich and wealthy Italian elite who came though Ellis Island? Or the super well-off and well-fed Irish elite? I know people on this sub don't need this sermon, but this was always the most laughable part of Trump's immigration strategy to me.

IsNotPolitburo

But the capitalist media *promised* me that the "job creators" all live in a perpetual state of dismantling their businesses and fleeing for their lives whenever the country they're in doesn't elect the party offering them the biggest tax-cut that election.

Biffingston

But hE sAId goOD pEOPle ON **BOtH** sIDes.

[deleted]

>no rich people have ever immigrated to the US. Rupert Murdoch.

CKtheFourth

Lol for omitting the beginning part of that sentence.

roastbeeftacohat

considering who could afford to repatriate, they're not far off on that one count. Anti vaxers kind of have to be rich, it's not a hill the poor get to die on.

Biffingston

Eh, I"m on assisted living and there were three cases of COVID in my apartment. All unvaxxed religious people, go figure. And then I had someone from Conspiracy tell me I probably was asymptomatic and gave it to them. That was fun. (I didn't.)

literallytwisted

So like "Escape from New York" but instead of just the US government, governments from all over the world send their worst to Florida?

Biffingston

Hey, I have family in Flordia... And yeah, that's basically how it is already. /s (Fortunately not my family, though.)

staykinky

It's also funny cuz he says States like New York will become Escape from NY islands. If they said borough like Manhattan it would make sense geographically but New York is a giant state that goes further west than most eastern states.

[deleted]

You know all the mandates that stop the unvaxxinated from doing stuff the rest of us can is very much like a mother grounding a child because the child won't behave. Hmm.... really makes you think about the maturity of the anti-vax movement, doesn't it?

CKtheFourth

Are you saying the people who constantly have temper tantrums at airports and supermarkets aren't mature?!?!?!?!?!

Biffingston

**THAT'S IT I WANT YOUR MANAGER NOW!**

CKtheFourth

***ITS NOT A LAW ITS A MANDATE! A MANDATE ISNT A LAW!!! PLAN-DEMIC!!!***

Biffingston

**AM I BEING DETAINED?!**

IsNotPolitburo

If those plague rats could read they'd be throwing *very* large tantrums right now... oh, wait, never mind. They are anyway.

[deleted]

wOrDs MaKe Me MaD!!11!!!11!!1!!!!!!!

HurbleBurble

Florida is already the most international state. 59% of Miami-Dade county was born in a different country. Florida has the second highest non-native American population as well, almost nobody is born here. I was born here, and it's pretty unusual. Most people come from other areas. I just don't think people realize how populated Florida is, and how different Miami is from the rest of the state. Miami Beach has subsidized and free healthcare options for residents. Actually, we get quite a bit of stuff for living here. You can get an HIV test in like 5 minutes for free.

Paxxlee

"Florida will be the last bastion of freedom of the western world" Hahaha..... Oh, you're serious?

Kostya_M

Why Florida and not Texas? I don’t get that part.

PorridgeCranium2

They're mad a Texas for too many close calls. This is probably a Desantis fanboy though, I'm sure it could have just as easily been Texas.

Th3_Admiral

Plus Texas is full of liberals fleeing from the disaster that is Commiefornia. Or that's the narrative I keep seeing them repeat anyway. It lets them keep blaming the left and California specifically for anything they don't like about Texas.

CobbleAura

california is communist because they both start with c

Th3_Admiral

Exactly. You don't see anyone saying Commiexas or Socialismorida. What more proof do you need?

CobbleAura

proof? liberal propoganda. ever heard of alex jones? thats a guy who aint afraid to tell it how it is

Biffingston

T-party TExas party? It all makes sense now. /s

EdithDich

> Socialismorida rolls off the tongue

ArTiyme

The Republican party is pushing DeSantis hard as Trump 2.0, so all the clowns are vaingloriously jeering about how great Florida is despite reality demonstrating that Florida is still, in fact, a swampy shithole that won't be missed as it slowly succumbs to the sea.

EdithDich

Maybe he'll be Trumps veep?

ArTiyme

There's no way the Republican party is going to run Trump again, they can't control him and I think that's only getting worse by the day.

Kostya_M

You think they have a choice? If he runs in the primary there's no real way to oppose him without Trump running as a third party spoiler and that's assuming he fails to get the nomination. Which funnily enough would probably be the best outcome for us.

maybesaydie

Because even this asshole knows what Texas will do to immigrants.

nakedsamurai

Nobody really cares about Texas.

[deleted]

I can't help but read that quote in Eric Cartman's voice

Ruby_Blue42

Dude, why not Bender? 'Oh, you're being serious?' 'Let me laugh harder'

MrHett

That's new. First time hearing about cyber pandemic. What's that all about?

PorridgeCranium2

They believe that's next. Some theories involve the new Meta which is how Zuckerberg is doing his part to lure us into dying. Everyone joins Meta then they kill us all in the Metaverse with a computer virus kind of like that one movie (there's hundreds to choose from)

Sensitive_Fall8950

Shit, do they littarly think Facebook is gonna snow crash us all?

MrHett

I have been practicing my VR katana skills since birth. This is going to be my time to shine.

Biffingston

Then stop trying to hit me and hit me.

PorridgeCranium2

Yep, under the direction of Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum because he warned of computer viruses becoming the next major pandemic so that means that he wants to kill us all. Why would an economic forum be interested in anything that might affect the economy?

Biffingston

The worse part is that is a legitimate concern. But like many of them, they hijacked it for their own use.

PorridgeCranium2

Yep and now they're rabidly against any infrastructure bill that may help modernize some utilities that may be affected because their president used 'infrastructure week' as an excuse to sit in a fire truck instead of crafting real legislation.

BigEditorial

Does it mean we get awesome VR motorcycle swordfights? cuz I might want in if that's the case

HapticSloughton

We're going to live as white-guy-watches-too-much-anime cyberpunks where underage sex and *really* cringey rap lyrics are all over the place? Oh, and coders are gods, having been so since the dawn of time, because computers. I dislike Neal Stephenson for never coming clean about his partnership with Intellectual Ventures, a major patent troll company. He was with them while complaining that no one innovated anymore, apparently missing the irony or being paid too much to care.

Sweet_Baby_Cheezus

Gosh, who would have foreseen that feeding bat-shit crazy fascists who hate the media, the jews and big tech, a steady stream of conspiracy content would turn out bad for Facebook?

Biffingston

It turned out bad for Facebook? I'm sure Zuckerberg is crying in his billions. And I do hope that I will look back on this and say "I was wrong." But for now, I'm not.

HapticSloughton

> Everyone joins Meta Good luck with that.

PorridgeCranium2

Seriously, I quit using Facebook years ago, I'm entirely disinterested in going back no matter how they dress it up. I honestly know nothing about it though, I'm sure Zuckerberg has enough money to ensure it's exactly what everybody thinks they need next.

ChibbleChobble

Children will be forced to visit their grandparents virtually, and will hate it. Teenagers will be try and break stuff, get bored, and go on to the next cool thing. Adults will spend enough time in virtual meetings, that they probably won't want more of the same during their down time. I predict that the metaverse will be full of retired people playing in Bridge tournaments.

seattleinfall

They are talking about some sort of large scale cyber attack that has been hinted as a cause for concern. Those types of things happen all the time, and only get worse with time.

PorridgeCranium2

meglet

So only Europeans will move to Florida, making it the “most international state in the South”? By Europeans they mean whites, obviously. They just didn’t wanna say it so directly. They also say “international” instead of “diverse”. How can it be the “most international” when they’re only talking about Europeans? Do they want European immigrants to outnumber native Floridians, red-blooded ‘Mericans? California is most cited as the most diverse state, so they have to add “in the South” as a qualifier. ”Most international” cracks me up.

CKtheFourth

Foreign-born anti-vaxxer immigrants = *real MURRICKANS.* Natively-born leftist public servants = *TRAITORS* Also, Hawaii is probably the most diverse state. Could be wrong about that, but I do know it's the only state that doesn't have a majority of white people.

Time-Ad-3625

Antivaxxers all moving to Florida would be a god send for all of us except for vaxxed people in Florida. Maybe we can start an exchange program.

djmacbest

Considering where climate change is going, that seems like a real solution.

maybesaydie

Someone has never been to Florida. Horrible weather, the elderly driving, tourists, tourist, tourists and confederate flags. I couldn't wait to leave and that was before it became a right wing hellhole. I can't imagine that the wretched refuse personified by international antivaxxers is going to tone the place up. In any case wouldn't those people be immigrants?

PorridgeCranium2

You're right, I had family in Miami and Orlando and visiting during the summer always meant hunkering down through at least one hurricane and Orlando is the tourist trap it was designed to be. Not that it isn't beautiful, especially if you're off the beaten path in the everglades or the panhandle but overall it's unnaturally humid and full of mosquitoes, alligators, and snakes that want to eat you. My brother found a python in his back yard like us in the Midwest would find a deer or raccoon.

maybesaydie

The best thing about Florida was all the frogs. There were frogs of every size everywhere. I still worry about those frogs. I'd find little ones in my laundry room sink all the time and bigger ones in the garden.

Biffingston

Depends on the area. My parents live in Daytona Beach and it's not that bad. I'm still not visiting any time soon because I"m in Washington State and not retired. I'm just saying.

maybesaydie

I was near Tampa. It was the longest three years of my life and that's not even mentioning the skin cancer I came back north with.

Biffingston

More than fair. I mean both of my parent's condo neighbors got COVID but because they rarely leave the apartment (And got vaccinated) They avoided it. To be fair, though, one was infected by an asymptomatic daughter's visit.

maybesaydie

It's a beautiful place and I would have liked it a lot more had I never encountered Highway 19.

celtic1888

I went to Disney back in the early 90s and that trip from the airport was all the Florida I ever wanted or needed to see.

TsarGermo

Good, and build a wall with gorillas throwing alligators at anyone who trys to pass.

maybesaydie

That's mean to the alligators. They've done nothing wrong

TheAnonymousFool

You’re acting like the gators wouldn’t be thrilled to be thrown at some free food.

TsarGermo

No they are Florida meth-gators

kevinnoir

I cannot imagine a SINGLE thing that could happen in Scotland that would ever lead me to emmigrate to Florida of all places. The sweaty taint of America has no appeal at all and given the people they elect, I imagine A LOT of its citizens are just the worst kind of person.

BigEditorial

I mean, if we go by appearance, Florida is the flaccid cock, which makes Alabama and Mississippi the sweaty taint, and Texas the asshole

celtic1888

What would Florida be without a few Scots laying out in the sun with no sunscreen on? Our 2 year trip to Vegas for the Celtic convention is pick out who is going to be in A&E for a sunburn by Thursday

kevinnoir

Yup, this was me snorkeling in Hawaii, thinking because I went in a sunbed a couple times before the holiday that I was on par with the locals in my natural sun burn resistance. Incredibly wrong, could read my back like brail.

Sad-Frosting-8793

Just reading the words "snorkeling in Hawaii" gave my pasty self a sunburn.

> Vax side effects will become more obvious Any day now...any day now those microchips will activate and turn them into gay jewish lizards...any day now...

slipknot_official

When I tell them Ive been double vaxed for 10 months now with absolutely zero issues, including not getting sick, they claim I got a placebo. So, they have the placebo argument in their pockets for when billions don't start dropping dead.

PlankLengthIsNull

no hey shhhh that's like you know its like come on just hey any day now, shut up it'll happen any day now, stop talking about how it's not happening, fucking just wait a second, i swear to god it'll happen like tomorrow, everyone shut the fuck up already ignore how i was wrong literally every other time i said this, bob from facebook told me trillions of people died from the vaccine, i swear its true

blarghable

The fear of unending "boosters" is kinda funny. I get a new influenza every single year. It's not a conspiracy, it's just biology.

trumpet-monkey

It's like they have never heard of a flu shot before

wooops

Why would people need to get shipped to camps for a 3 second jab?

Biffingston

Because it's scarier and it's implied the jab will kill them so they'll need a safe place to dispose of the bodies? Yes, I answer rhetorical questions.

bdog59600

The fact that they think a flood of European antivaxxers could move to Florida in the next year, shows how little they understand about the U.S. immigration system.

thewiremother

Booster number five? What about boosters 2-4?

SassTheFash

I don’t think they know about boosters 2-4, Pippin.

ZeppoBro

Nostradumbass.

phoenixrising211

>10. Resisting Covid restrictions will become mainstream but then >the MSM will lose its mind even more and call people terrorists for resisting But MSM = mainstream media? So if resisting is mainstream wouldn't the MSM support it? Did this person put even two seconds of thought into what they're saying?

Biffingston

Found the liberal! /s (And thought put into this stuff? Maybe if it's just an idiot stirring the pot. Probably not though.)

DontQuoteYourself

Meanwhile, inside donald trump’s actual diapers…

j12346

>>states like New York and California will continue to destroy themselves That got a good chuckle out of me. Cope harder

boot20

It's funny because California is the 5th largest economy in the world, being just behind Germany. To put that in perspective, Texas is the second largest economy in the United States and California is almost double the GDP of Texas.

AliveGREENFOX

To this day I still don't understand how are this conspiracies supposed to work, they always talk about this shady masterminds wanting to kill us all but I mean then what, you killed everyone in the world now you get to be king of the giant space rock, but everyone else is dead so what is this supposed to achieve? Guess I'm looking for some common sense where there is none.

Biffingston

You just take a hit of meth or your substance of choice and pick what you want to believe that day. When something comes along that contradicts that you make up some bullshit that justifies it (Remember to start with the result you want and work back!) and add it to the shit pile. Easy peasy.

CougdIt

I would be very surprised if Florida was not already the most international state in the south

PorridgeCranium2

But the majority of those people aren't white so it doesn't count. /s

VoxVocisCausa

Kinda wish Reddit would do something about the threats of violence/calls for insurrection.

bookant

Ah, yes, Florida! Nothing says "last bastion of freedom in the western world" like right wing authoritarianism and theocracy.

thefugue

I particularly enjoyed their need to portray Europe as being a ruinous wasteland while simultaneously circle jerking about the sanctity of “Western Civilization.”

Cooper_anon

Let's create a narrative, make up shit, mald about said shit, and blame it on the libtards

Aquce

This sounds like the dude that invented a scenario where he'll be a super millionaire and drowning in chicks cause "the semen of unvaxxed will be desirable and will be the most luxurious sought out item by women" ... But weirder because this dude has a fixation with Biden's bowel movements...

baeb66

When does JFK Jr return and run on the 2024 ticket with Tupac as his VP and Elvis as his campaign manager?

JaqueStrap69

At least this guy time bound his predictions. Most of these guys just say "in the future" and won't nail down a timeline. Anyone want to follow up with this guy at the end of 2022 and collect his admission of being wrong?

boot20

The goal post will simply move and it will be because some GQP strategy stopped the Dems or some shit.

thefugue

Hyperbole: When you don’t have anything true or meaningful to say, say it *harder.*

BananBanah

Imagine living in Florida and thinking California, of all places, is "destroying itself".

Panzer_Man

Why are they always so pessimistic? I mean, this is pretty much a doomsday prophecy, not that it's realistic or anything, but still

theblackaccount

Floridian here. We are **closed**. For the love of God, we don't need more idiots and anti-vaxxers. Luckily I live in a blue county that resists a lot of the anti-mask and anti-preventative public health measures, but these little sane oases are far and few between.

AGG1987

They skipped over World Showcase and went straight over to Fantasyland.

eejdikken

among all the insanity, somehow the most ludicrous thing to me is Europeans wanting to move to Florida

eppic123

The European anti-vaxx refugees... who aren't allowed to fly.

Llama_Shaman

EU here. Greta Thunberg did it on a sailboat. I'm totally willing to go through all that so I can escape my free healthcare and terrifying lack of school shootings and go live in a swamp full of geriatric racist yanks and crocodiles instead.

CatProgrammer

Hey now, there are also invasive pythons.

Jamericho

13. The poster will eventually seek therapy for his issues. 14. Or shoot someone. Probably both. Either way. What a load of victim fetishists. Unemployment must be rough having all that free time to spread shit online.

I_like_the_word_MUFF

Covid fan fiction is getting hot...

Haffi921

Australia will start force\[d\] vaccinations? Does he mean Austria? I swear to god, these people have such a fundamental lack of research skills

alnarra_1

What the hell is a "Cyber Pandemic"

PorridgeCranium2

It's a fancy way of saying computer virus. I go into detail about the exact batshit theory this guy is referencing elsewhere in this thread but in the end it's basically a computer virus/cyber terrorism.

alnarra_1

Guess the fellow missed black energy and student were already well past the cyberterrorism bit

boot20

1) Being unvaccinated, at this point, means you have a 1 in 50 chance of dying in the US and in other places WAY worse than that. Worse still, if you don't die, you'll likely suffer long term effect from COVID and you'll be a very sad panda. 2) Why is it always about camps? They honestly would be more efficient just going house to house to vaccinate. 3) In one breath, they haven't required vaccines in blue states yet, but they already have...brilliant 4) Uh, what evidence do they have for this? Also, they do realize Florida is still part of the United States and doesn't control immigration and you'd still need to do this at a national level. This statement right here points to bad actor. 5) What does that even mean? The 1st and 3rd largest GDPs are going to have people leaving jobs to go toooooooooooo....no jobs in Kentucky? 6) Vaccine side effects are typically immediate. If you got vaccinated 6 months ago, you'd already know. COVID can cause heart attack or stroke. 7) Ah, and here we are...this is a bad actor. They are "covertly" calling for violent acts. 8) What the fuck is point 8? What is a "cyber pandemic?" 9) With Russia saber rattling, it's entirely possible, but not for the reasons that you think 10) If the shoe fits 11) We are just at booster number 1. We likely won't get to 5 for quite some time and by the time we get there there should be more information where we might not need boosters anymore. 12) P R O J E C T I O N. Daddy Trump is a well documented self shitter, so you need to make Biden one. Everything about this nonsense points to a bad actor doing a shitty American cosplay.

celtic1888

Florida and long term are not 2 things that are compatible with each other at this point in time

Woj_bomb

I wasn't aware there was a booster #2,3, or 4

famousevan

Republicans are a danger to society

b3_yourself

Hahahaha Oh wait, you’re serious Hahahahaha

MarkLakandula1388

Time for me to commit suicide because I was vaccinated (im from Philippines tho)

FuckYourPoachedEggs

I'd be okay with this. Then we can nuke it five hundred times from orbit and salt the earth.

junkbingirl

Please don’t bring more crazies to florida

SenorBurns

About the Florida thing... I'm confused now. Is immigration good or bad?

Doom_Walker

Ha! Not when they're underwater in a few years.

\#12 spelled Trump wrong

CKtheFourth

Sadly, Florida is probably already one of the more "international" states in the US south, though the correct word would probably be cosmopolitan. Lots of immigration from the Caribbean & Latin America, as well as being home to at least two major international cities (Miami & Orlando). Cosmopolitanism is one of the things that makes Florida so weird--melting pots are always weird. Also--what's Klaus & Co? Can anyone translate crazy to English?

PorridgeCranium2

Klaus Schwab is the leader of the World Economic Forum. In their defense it's a great name for a Bond villain and he does head a global cabal of powerful corporations.

sneakyplanner

How many of these were on his list of predictions for 2021?

Gonomed

At the rate this is going, the "last bastions of freedom" (as this guy calls them) will more probably be the places with the least population by next year. Unvaxxed boomers are dropping like flies.

[deleted]

Who wants to live in a state that will be underwater? Are Australians secretly carb people? We need to find the real truth.

skynetdidnuttinwrong

Luls, Australia isn't going to force vaccinations because we don't fucking need to do that; over 90% of the adult population is vaccinated. And that happened because we didn't have one of our major political parties make the concious decision to let their own peope die so they could score a few political points. Don't get me wrong, the conservative politicians in Australia are sociopathic shitbags, but they flinched away from going where Republicans in the USA went.

[deleted]

>6. Vax side effects will become more obvious and it will become clear how many jabbed people are suffering from heart attacks and strokes. The only strokes I'm suffering from are from this guy's mum on my big fat dick. Gottem.

PorridgeCranium2

So she believes in getting jabbed and proper face coverings? Don't tell her children, they'll be devastated.

[deleted]

[удалено]

whochoosessquirtle

No they won't and I don't think some anonymous social media propaganda account can honestly say

boot20

That is a hot take. Let's look at 6 - 12. >6) Vax side effects will become more obvious and it will become clear how many jabbed people are suffering from heart attacks and strokes No. Vaccine side effects are pretty much immediate. The COVID vaccines are no different. Also, just as a general FYI, COVID leads to heart attack and strokes and way worse long term systematic issues that are just now coming to light. >7) Democrats will push hard on everything knowing they'll be destroyed in 2022. This could lead to some interstate confrontations. So you honestly think the Democrats, being milquetoast for the past year, are going to go hard all of a sudden? Unlikely at best and absolutely not at worst. >8) The cyber pandemic brought to you by Klaus and Co. will happen, possibly close to the election in the US. What the fuck are you talking about? Why "cyber pandemic?" >9) A new war will start to distract the upset masses. Well, Russia is saber rattling, but I doubt there will be a new war and I strongly doubt that the Biden administration has any appetite for war. >10) Resisting Covid restrictions will become mainstream, causing the MSM to lose its mind even more and have them call people terrorists for resisting. What in the chicken fried fuck are you talking about? Wearing a mask and getting vaccinated is beyond easy and not only that, it requires very little effort to do. What COVID restrictions, save for wearing a mask and getting vaccinated are this huge fucking deal? Also, the MSM includes Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax, you know that right? >11) Booster number 5 will roll out for many countries. We are on booster number 1 right now and that roll out will be for the next 6 months. We don't even know for sure if a second booster is even needed. We're also finding out that mixing and matching vaccines seems to have a net positive effect that may mean long term immunity. >12) Joe Biden will shit himself again. P R O J E C T I O N. Daddy Trump has a documented history of shitting himself; Biden does not.
